I agree with you but I understand his point as well. What he tried to say is that when a person has a lot of resources, they won't get in much trouble even if they spend a lot of money on their gambling activities because they are financially stable and would still have enough money that their personal and family life wouldn't get disturbed because of financial problems. If the same thing is done by someone who isn't financially stable, they will soon start having financial problems, and domestic problems often start when there are financial problems in a family.
