Scotts confirmed that it conducted small-scale field tests in Gervais and Corvallis in the 2000s.

Genetic modification dates back to the 1970s and really took hold in agriculture in the 1990s and 2000s. The ability to alter a plant's genes offered the promise of species that are more productive, more resistant to disease, even immune to herbicides.

Today, more than 90 percent of U.S. soybeans, cotton and corn are genetically engineered.

It astonishes me that a simple fact which should be well known by everyone, since it's directly related to what you ingest in your body, is seen as lunatic, delusional conspiracy theory, while conspiracy theories are absorbed without further critical thinking or questioning.

Grass, plants and crops in general have been genetically modified to become stronger against diseases and plagues, while increasing its fertility and productivity rates. If it wasn't for these modifications, there wouldn't be capacity to produce enough food to feed the overpopulated world, although personally, as side effect, I believe it directly interferes on the taste and texture of the final product.

Anyway, food in general is artificial nowadays and it seems we can't avoid it. That is the point. Carnivorous cultists aren't accessing the secret hidden intelligence and unsealing occult potentials of the human genes by sticking themselves to a meat diet. They are eating artificial food like everyone else.

I follow the carnivore diet for years now. It basically involves eating only meat and animal products for various health reasons from weight loss, reducing inflammation, longevity, etc etc. While this post is not too much of a dietary advert, I stumbled upon an interesting Vice article which claims the way I'm eating is very much related to bitcoin

WTF - I thought.

The term "bitcoin carnivore", possibly coined by Ammous, the author of the best-selling book The Bitcoin Standard, also promoted by Goldstein from the Nakamoto Institute and various bitcoin maxis, in fact exists. Allegedly, there's an only-meat organized dinner every BTC conference in Miami. Well, I didn't know.

So the puzzles I didn't know even exist suddenly click together.

I'm now a cultist, a rebel against both the fiat system and the food system.

I guess being part of Bitcoin cult wasn't enough?  A Bitcoin meat cult? Alright, I'll bite (get it? ).

Usually I avoid garbage leftist media like Vice due to their biased and dishonest style of reporting, but for some reason (probably because I am currently hungry), I am interested in this cult.

I think that meat-only on the table is not really optimal. You need potatoes, rice or some other carbs. Not a lot, just a bit. The reason being that you get bored eating meat, then you go for the sidedish, and you think: "gee, these potatoes suck. I think I will try the meat again" and by comparison, suddenly meat becomes even tastier.

This group sounds corny. Bitcoin maxis sound corny. They appear as solid Bitcoin fanatics but then many of them are Bitcoin investors who also promote custodial services and closed-source software and even use stablecoins, are fiat and bank dependent as well. Why can't we use what good technologies are there?

Those who are also promoting meat-only diet are as corny as vegetarians and vegans. They are opposites when it comes to food but they are equal when it comes to being shallow. Why can't we just eat what good food are there? Meat only? Your pepper isn't meat.
