This point I was searching for because I think it is a very true statement, your kids will most definitely find out that you are gambling if you're hiding it! Kids are smart, they do pick up on even the smallest details even if you don't think they do. They are very observant and watchful, they can spot unusual behaviors & pick up on senses & when they are curious kids start digging. I did not say that, at least I did not mean it like that. I was never a follower of an idea "never gamble in front of kids" (nor I dont follow the idea "gamble in front of them on purpose"). My point was that there is no use to hide gambling activity. It is useless. If not from parents, kids will find out gambling anyway. And that gambling addiction that people always mention. That makes me furious. I mean nobody get addicted to something only from watching. People get addicted to something only by doing something 24/7. You might believe it or not, but kids gamble even without learning that from seeing parents gambling. As soon as they get access to the internet, they observe, learn and test everything you hide from them or limit them. There are ways to do this and one way is when they are away at school or they are already sleeping. We should always be mindful of what we will do when we are near them because they can easily absorb it and copy it.

Kids always observe and adopt whatever they see or heard from those adults that they have from their surroundings, learning it only from observing and there's no need for anything as the kids easily adopt and we can't control that without proper guidance, like what happened to you, it's just by hearing it and you just find it out that they already using those words without really knowing what's the meaning of it.

Same deal with gambling, if they see those adults who are enjoying they will think that it will be okay for them to try and enjoy that same game those adults are playing, we need to be very careful on what we are showing them, it should be from us since we are the one that they are following and we needed to be a good example for them.
