I had been able to utilize the forum for compiling topics that I could be used as  a reference in the future and also wanted to share of it to other users especially the newbie wanted to get involve or invest in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. This is another for your ready reference series and this time is all about cryptocurrency exchanges.

Cryptocurrency exchange plays a vital role to the massive growth of cryptocurrencies around the world to where people can trade cryptocurrencies for other digital currency or traditional currency like US dollars. These exchanges connect buyers and sellers and take a fee from each transaction.

These are a few roles of cryptocurrency exchanges:
1. Receiving cryptocurrency and issuing IOUs
2. Receiving fiat
3. Processing an order book
4. Redeeming IOUs (essentially a token, issued on the blockchain, representing the same value as the underlying asset.)

As a newbie trying to get details on exchanges in my search I learn that there are a few concerning issues regarding current exchanges platform:

1. Fees
Most exchanges charge fees for all kinds of transactions. Fees can differ substantially depending on the exchange you use.

2. Payment Methods
Some exchange has limited payment options which make it not convenient to be used for trading. Purchasing cryptocurrencies with a credit card will always require identity verification and come with a premium price as there is a higher risk of fraud and higher transaction and processing fees. Purchasing cryptocurrency via wire transfer will take significantly longer as it takes time for banks to process.

3. Verification Requirements
This is one of a long and inconvenient process. The vast majority of the cryptocurrency trading platforms both in the US and the UK require some sort of ID verification in order to make deposits & withdrawals.

4. Geographical Restrictions
Some exchanges can only be accessible from certain countries.

But this is not really becoming a problem over time because exchanges now are slowly adapting and making their system user friendly not only in their areas but also expanding to all over the world. Other exchanges are gaining popularity and step up over. And because there are many wanted to invest in cryptocurrency I made my own list of good cryptocurrency exchange. I think you need to improve your compilation thread of the list in all exchange, the images look good if it is resized in the same size. See the example below,
Code:
[img width=100]https://i.imgur.com/XjdKFpd.jpg[/img]
I added "width=100" or it will depends on the size of the image.

It should be readable than the larger images that bother on the eyes of the reader.

You can also check these threads as you reference that I posted below, since some of them are outdated, probably you can make your own. It might be good if you compilation is well organized, you need to separate exchanges like, P2P, DEX and CEX, so that it is easy for them to find which exchange it is belong.

And because there are many wanted to invest in cryptocurrency I made my own list of good cryptocurrency exchange.
But how did you determine that those exchanges are good? If you experienced some of those exchanges in the past, then you somehow missed that some of them are not good anymore; take the example of Bittrex and HitBtc, if you make a simple search about reviews, you would notice how many accusations made against them for different issues. Even those peer-to-peer platforms started freezing accounts and enforce users to go throw many levels of verifications without any disclaimer.
I don't have experience with all the exchanges in your list, but i can only agree with Binance to be a good exchange as there is no complaints against it .

Yes, you are right, exchanges really hold vital roles, as traditional markets in our life. Of course, there will be some consideration if we are going to take the exchanges.

3. Processing an order book
There are also some types for this such as Market Orders, Limit Orders, Stop-Limit Orders, Margin Trading, and probably more about it. Every exchange may offer differences.

1. Fees
Fees are one of the factors to be considered when going to use an exchange. A lower fee is good enough and we can compare it with other exchanges (of course it is done after ensuring that the exchanges are legit and trusted). Fees for trading (taker/maker), withdrawal, deposit, and other fees charged differently or even similarly each exchange. however commonly, the highest fees that we generally complain are the withdrawal and trading fees. So, better to check it first.

2. Payment Methods
Nowadays, many exchanges have offered easy ways to buy or sell or even withdraw to cash our or to their bank with fiat. They commonly offer certain fees for withdrawal fiat. But, I think that if we are going to cash out the fiat, it is better to use local exchange or exchanges that provide withdrawal fiat of our country to be easier.

3. Verification Requirements
I think that this is commonly the problem that we face when going into exchanges. for centralized exchanges, they will commonly require certain verification example by using KYC.
They may vary:
- Exchange that needs no KYC
- Exchange that needs KYC for deposit/withdrawal/trading in a certain limited amount
- Exchanges that require KYC as a must and obligatory in order to be able to deposit/withdraw/trading. And without KYC, the user cannot do any transaction.

In this case, we should be very very careful when going to do this certain KYC.
You may read this about the danger of KYC https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221497.0
However, sometimes, we can do nothing with the KYC process. As in my local exchanges, we must do KYC to do any kind of transaction. And I did it as long as the exchange is trusted and under the law in my country.

The other challenge of KYC is about the difficulties of the KYC process sometimes that can lead our mind to think that the exchanges may steal our ID., yeah, some exchanges conduct a very complicated KYC process and some are easy. It depends on and varies for every exchange.

Here is my list of cryptocurrency exchange.
Probably, it is better to give a hyperlink to the official exchange site in order to ease other members to click and visit. But noted, ensure that the link is true, not the fake one. Btw, I will commonly check the lists of trusted exchanges in the exchanger trackers (although they sometimes also do not give the exact data).

Sometimes, having an account in some exchanges may be good in order to take some benefits:
- get the listed coins with higher volume
- Doing arbitrage
- Comparing the price and its liquidity
- Comparing the feature in order to get better trading and transaction
- others

Well, after all, this thread is a good reading that can improve our knowledge and discussion.

I wouldn't even want HitBTC anywhere near the list (This can mislead newbies). They are scammers. If you have doubts just do a simple search in the scam accusations board or a google search.

They also have one of the worst withdrawal fees charged in crypto exchanges
E.g;
1. For BTC most Exchanges charge withdrawal fees at around 0.0005 BTC, HitBTC charges 0.0015 BTC
2. For ETH most exchanges charge withdrawal fees at around 0.005 ETH, HitBTC charges 0.048 ETH

And all other coins, their withdrawal charges are always higher. When you tell me that "Users can take advantage of rebates and competitive trading fees via the Trading Fee Tier system." I can't believe a single word about that statement.

Bitthumb is currently South Korea's biggest exchange and not upbit as stated

This list is so mixed up. For example a platform like Bybit is not suitable for someone looking to convert their assets from one crypto assets to another like Binance or Huobi. This can easily confuse newbies.

The OP should rectify some info on his thread because newbies will be misled by those information. But maybe, use this only as a guide for beginners but you still have to do your own research when you actually use those exchanges. One can't give all the necessary info anyway.

Merit for the effort OP. Like mostly said. You coukd imrpove the listing and put some criteria on how do you classify the exchanges could be on that list. I like some exchange too on the list and dont like some. For example, zb.com I had a token from bounty only listed there but due to their strict regulation on KYC I cant sell it now the token is not worth it.

Also some exchange listed were unknown or not popular, Im not gonna argue with your list but feel free to search on the thread sections some post about having a list. Good job, continue and improve your posting skills.

Thanks for the reply but honestly I am still learning about the exchanges if they were decentralized or centralized exchange. But mostly listed exchange are centralized and I think it is better to transact in the centralized exchange for it is easy and user friendly interface. But still it will depend on the exchange and the feed back of the users. I will try to consider next some important details to include in my future posts. Since, my reference is all about exchanges then I have include all exchanges I know wether it is decentralized or centralized. Hopefully, that list will do for those who are new to cryptocurrency.

You can get list of top exchanges (spot, DEX, derivatives) from 2 websites:
Each site has different algorithms to filter and sort out exchanges, you should visit those sites and get your own experiences. It seems that coingecko.com gives you more advanced filter options. I think those images can help you so I skip descriptive steps.

Coinmarketcap.com

Coingecko.com
On coingecko.com, after customize your filter (with cryptocurrencies, suggested currencies, fiat currencies, commodity, and countries) you can get list for 3 main filter categories: Overview, Cybersecurity (New), Social. Read their explanation on Trust score

Edit: If you need more, you can get more in [BIG LIST] Buy/Sell Crypto (OTC, P2P, DEXs, CEXs, NO-KYC, ATMs, etc.)

thanks for sharing it here in the reply because it could be another reference to other users as well that likes to know more about good exchanges. I am not claiming that the list above are good since it was all base on google search engine where I had made a little effort for your ready reference compilations.

eToro’s
eToro's advanced crypto exchange, eToroX, offers a progressive cryptoasset trading experience for algo traders, institutional-grade investors, and seasoned crypto traders.

Sorry about Necro, but I wouldn't trust this exchange with a dime.

Her twitter account is closed.
There are several obscure and misleading websites

At the moment, anyone can register telegram username "" (there is a link to their chat on the coinmarketcap).

The eToroX platform seems legit, it seems like something that's just eToro stopped supporting (probably to lack of demand).

Did a few minutes of digging and found eToroX archives on eToro's website. Last post was in 2020: https://www.etoro.com/news-and-analysis/etorox-exchange/
