Public transport is done by busses, which I not only find inconvenient, but also cost €1 to €2 per trip, which would ultimately cost more than using my motorcycle. I'm planning to commute by bike too, providing that I have enough space to store my two bicycles.

Is it possible to buy a monthly or maybe an annual ticket? I know that mostly children in my country who travel by bus to school drive like this, but I don't think it is limited only to them. An ordinary bicycle does not take up much space, and it can be hung on the wall very easily, especially if it is a model made of very light materials.

Other EU countries have way more expensive rents, however, the supermarkets or petrol isn't as expensive from what I've observed, or at least, at similar levels. And indeed, the issue isn't that they're taking someone else's jobs, even if that statement was true, it's not my issue since I'd supposedly look for something that requires a degree, due to my education. The main concern is that whole parts of cities have become ghettos and are suffering tremendously. Sweden used to be one of the safest countries, well, not anymore. Poland on the other hand, which I visited in 2021, doesn't have a immigrant-friendly policy, is one of the safest.

If memory serves me correctly, you live on an island, and that only makes life more expensive - I know this because my country also has a lot of islands, and everything is more expensive there than on the mainland. Just today I read an article that an employer offers a salary of up to 11 000 EUR for the position of a waiter in Germany, where there is a shortage of such workers.

I can only tell you that until maybe 1-2 years ago, I could go out on the street at any time of the night without fear, and today I no longer feel safe, considering that some of the people who came as cheap labor are already starting to show their inclination violence and religious intolerance.

Military enlisting is mandatory for up to 9 to 12 months in Greece (unpaid), which is the reason I'm out of the job market now. I've considered it but I generally don't like the whole concept of the army. On top of that, entering isn't as good as it might look. Salaries aren't anything special nor do they provide housing etc. It only secures that you'll have a job, which for the first few years will only pay an above average wage.

Look, I was also in the army at one time, so although I consider most of that time wasted because I didn't do anything useful, I still learned something and know how to handle various types of weapons, which can always come in handy considering who my neighbors are, right? Unfortunately, mandatory military service was abolished a long time ago and today's young people do not have any knowledge of skills that would be of help in case they need it.

Everyone goes through stress related to money after all over the past few years millions of people have faced financial difficulties due to various problems around the world, including epidemics and wars.

Just remember this. When you are stressed, that just means that you are focusing too much on the things you cannot control. So if you want to get back in the right track again out of your adversities, you just simply need to feel that you are in control of you own finances and your own whole life. So take a pause in your life. Remind yourself that you are the only person responsible.

There's two things you can do. Minimize your expenses or maximize your income. Along with that you have to payoff your debts and start saving so that you have something to invest later in your career and life. Anything outside of your control are just distractions.
You are right that self control is most important no matter how much pressure one is under. Taking a step toward financial health is one of the most important steps you can take to eliminate financial stress. In order to overcome financial stress and be prosperous one must first be aware of the current situation. You should identify options by doing due diligence on your current situation and the extent of your assets. Once you understand the meaning of financial stress, understanding your debt is the next step to get out of it. You can pay off your debt faster if you pay off one account at a time and start with your lowest obligations first to avoid paying high costs over time it is best to pay off the loan with the highest interest rate.

I won't blame the situation just because I have the same problem - but I can only try and fight as hard as I can so that the situation doesn't destroy the future we should have. Almost all countries have the same problems - but don't let it get to you and accept the situation.

I know that inflation and the country's economic problems have a negative impact on the financial strength of society in general - but that is not the reason why we cannot survive and fight as hard as possible. Something good must start from ourselves, it's just that some people continually complain about their situation without being able to prove anything that they are able to overcome it. In a situation like this – I think good financial management is very necessary.

I’ve personally just continued to work hard and have actually changed jobs the past couple years a few times in order to work my way up the “corporate ladder” so to speak. Inflation and the economy, ending effected by Covid 19 and inflation has certainly played a role in my life, so this is why I’ve gotten a new job, as well as moved to a place /city that is much more affordable. This is how I’m dealing with everything.

Not only on financial stress but on whatever type or kind of stress that  you would really be able to encounter due to certain things then having that self control would really be crucial or something that relevant.
You cant really just make yourself that being too impulsive and easily panic on the time that you would really be facing up some situations or circumstances on which it might really be resulting
that kind of panic or being that impulsive which would be causing bad decisions which would really be affecting you so badly. On the time that you do have that kind of control or having that kind of
discipline on whatever things that you do tend to decide then it is really that something that an advantage that you could be able to assess the problem  and act accordingly on what are the
things that supposedly to be done and dont make yourself that too impulsive and making out some decisions which is really that out of the charts.

I have all my signature campaign earnings saved, along with a decent sum of stablecoins in terms of cryptocurrency assets. I also have a decent amount of money saved in fiat, but that doesn't change the fact that housing and living costs are excessive. I'm from Greece, and the minimum salary ranges from €700 to €800 at best. Even by living with my partner, each one of us will need €300 per month just for the house. Without groceries, petrol, insurance, taxes, and so on. I don't want to be stuck in a loop, slowly draining my savings.
Wow no salary for a year.

I spent 5 years in the service. 1978 to 1983. US Navy. They paid not much but they paid.

So from what you say you are still young. Maybe 🤔 find a roommate making the apartment expense less.
I'm guessing you can understand what situation I'm in right now. I'm 25 and used to live with my partner before the army came up.
Monthly tickets cost up to €60, or €40 if you're a student. I'm not sure if I'm still eligible for a student discount. However, my motorcycle doesn't use too much fuel, so the cost will be approximately close, or a little more, and will be way more convenient. I'm determined to avoid using my car or my motorcycle for short distances and stick to walking and bicycling.

That's correct; some things, such as houses, due to it being a touristy area, are quite expensive, along with fuel. I've only been to Poland abroad, which is now one of the safest countries in Europe and is against welcoming refugees, and I've got to be honest, I wasn't afraid to walk at midnight. Other Western cities are a completely different story nowadays.
I understand why the military is mandatory here, for obvious reasons of a specific neighboring country; however, I believe that it should focus more on extensive training but for a shorter time. 9 months passed way too fast, but I've been out of the job market for over a year now, and I'm starting from zero again.

Well you're doing pretty good. Because we should continue to move forward and continue to look for opportunities. And once an opportunity comes, we have to make the most of it and never waste it. Work harder and when we get good results. So the next step must be to make good financial arrangements. Because it is true that without good financial management, any amount of money will run out quickly and may not help our finances in the future.
Yes, you are right that the opportunities in people's life do not come again and again. So we have to take advantage of the opportunity and organize our lives beautifully. But what I know is that if we work honestly, that hard work will never fail. At some point, success will be seen, so we must be honest. To work hard. To move towards the goal of life. All people have a good financial system in their life, their life is very happy and peaceful so we should achieve something good.

The financial system is usually closely related to our lifestyle and priority life goals. like me, who tries to live a simple lifestyle, even when income increases, so that the remaining income can be allocated to activities that develop financial support in the future. Of course, as we get older we have to have a place to live, and after that we have to provide the best education for our children. Therefore, life priorities must be able to run so that you can spend money appropriately

Lucky on you that you have that kind of discipline even when your income increases because others tend to spend more and want more stuff, but there will be a time when we are already mature enough you'll know that you don't have savings and you are already old so before that regret comes you should save now for the future but after our priorities like needs so that we won't be starving and after that invest for the future.
There will be time that we are in financial stress but it wont be that situation forever as there will be time that you are free

Post-COVID-19 pandemic, things have been tough for everyone. Everything was going smoothly before the pandemic, but during and after the pandemic, economic conditions have changed dramatically. Initially, it was COVID-related to inflation due to worldwide lockdowns and transportation issues. When things started to settle, Russia and Ukraine started, which increased inflation drastically. Now, the major global economies are facing challenges and are going into recessions. Major European countries are facing inflation issues along with a lot of migrants from third-world countries.

It is important to prepare for this kind of situation beforehand. Stabilize yourself financially and always have some investments in liquid assets. Work hard and try to discover alternate sources of money. Try to limit your expenses and increase your savings.

Everyone goes through stress related to money after all over the past few years millions of people have faced financial difficulties due to various problems around the world, including epidemics and wars. Since life is unpredictable, a monthly budget check up is critical to improving your financial health. Set aside some time to schedule organize and cancel all payments from your bank account to regain control of your finances. The more control you have the less stressed you will be if your money worries you're probably sure that increasing your income can help you deal with financial stress and prepare a budget create an emergency fund.

Everyone had to deal with these issues during the COVID, and some nations are still having problems due to a lack of agricultural or food products. Nigeria is the first example of a nation where prices rise daily, and I don't believe that any Nigerian product prices have decreased since the COVID began. The cost of fuel, which is the most crucial resource in every nation because without it, transportation from one location to another will come to a complete stop, is what is causing prices to continually rise. As a result, you cannot have a small budget and expect to meet all of your needs.

I sometimes wonder why things change and that when they do, it's for the worse, not for the better that will make everyone happy. Even having a good flat is all about money, and it's quite expensive. Since I don't really understand why things keep getting worse and we all know that we are not equal because some poor people will be suffering right now, I want to know why things constantly seem to become worse whenever a new government comes into power.

When unexpected situations occur, it is important for us to prepare in advance to overcome problems that may arise in the future.
What is currently happening with global problems which have resulted in many sectors being affected, both in terms of income and increasing material prices, will certainly affect finances, therefore preparation and handling are needed so that we can overcome these problems.

However, in terms of preparation, we each have our own plans, but of course, apart from that, the most promising thing is investment, even though it is risky, it is quite worth it with all the possibilities.

It can be overwhelming but there are ways to manage it. Start by creating a budget to gain clarity on your income and expenses. Look for things that you can cut back on to save money. Maybe prioritise your expenses and pay off debts strategically. It's important to communicate with your creditors if you're struggling to make payments as they may be willing to work out a more manageable plan. Seek support from friends, family or financial advisors who can provide guidance. Try to take care of yourself by finding healthy outlets for stress such as exercise or taking up hobbies.

The past few years after COVID-19 have been the absolute worst; everything keeps rising—petrol, daily groceries, electricity, housing—to the point where you're barely making ends meet. Just to imagine, I've been looking for an apartment for over 6 months and haven't found anything yet. Not only is there a very limited supply, but those available are either too expensive, poor, too small, or everything combined. Thus, this is creating a huge feeling of uncertainty, as time is running out and I need to get settled down. Renting outside of town in the nearby villages isn't ideal either, because petrol is way too expensive.

I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same, but this uncertainty with the increasing living costs and the ongoing rat race is causing me excessive stress. On top of that, moving out of the country doesn't seem ideal either, because most European cities are also suffering similar conditions, along with an extensive immigrant crisis (see France, Italy, Germany, and the UK). I'd be interested in remote working, but the economics field I've studied at university isn't in high demand for remote working, which often recruits IT workers and generally fields that require hands-on experience. As soon as I'm settled down, I'm considering taking up a data analysis course and finishing my master's degree in order to look for more opportunities abroad.

I don't know, but each year seems progressively worse. It wasn't that bad before COVID-19; now it's the ultimate worst I've seen, and it's about to deteriorate even further. Thankfully, this forum has been a blessing and probably the only thing giving me hope, as it has resulted in me making a decent sum of money in the process. I'm yet to start looking for a job, but salaries are relatively low, despite the increased cost of living. To make matters worse, excessive weather conditions due to climate change are happening way more often now, causing floods and wildfires and destroying everything in their path. See Libya, Greece, Italy, Spain, and many more examples.

Maybe I'm stressing out too much because I'm yet to find proper housing to establish myself again after being away for over a year in the military. I'm generally an anxious person myself, but does anyone else feel the same, and how do you deal with it? How do you stay optimistic?

Things right now are so overwhelming sincerely. But there are ways to manage this financial stress. Make sure your daily living expense is not above your earning. A scale of preference will help you achieve this. Secondly be very conscious of impulse spending this is one factor that most people cannot help themselves with. Additionally multiple streams of income will definitely ease this stress preferable multiple streams of passive incomes.  Everyone has it tough these days but I'm hoping things  will get better.

I'm someone who believes that there's always a way to deal with every problem, be it heavy or light, but there will always be a way. And the first thing to do is like you said, which can calculate our income and expenses. Talking about spending, I always divide it into 3 categories and I'm sure this is not a foreign thing either, what I mean is, the first is primary needs, secondary needs and tertiary needs. Of course, I will prioritize to fulfill the first needs I mentioned. From there I can see what things I can reduce and even not do to reduce my expenses.

Actually before the pandemic makes the people keep doing the usual thing and keep surviving and this pandemic makes them more suffer because of the different regulations and restrictions for example is the people who go outside only people who have work are the only one can make outside and the other family members must keep on their house like waiting for their family member to get back and of course it's another lose to them even though they want to make additional source of income or sideline they can't make it.
Also additional with it is the more of transportation just limited and only people who have their own cars or transportation the capable to go to their work or else they don't earn money. Suffer equivalent to money.

You really have a very good way of dealing with financial pressure. If we spend more than our daily income, of course we can't differentiate between our needs and our wants, but if we can differentiate between these two things, we can certainly avoid unnecessary spending. Yes, you are right, by having passive income it will certainly be easier to manage the expenses we need and if there is still salary left we can save it and if we have unexpected needs we can take it from our savings.

Yes, you are right, by having passive income it will certainly be easier to manage the expenses we need and if there is still salary left we can save it and if we have unexpected needs we can take it from our savings.
One thing that can help in identifying what our needs and wants are is by listing down everything. Sure it might cost some of our time and a bit of an effort but listing them down and actually sitting down to think about them is one way to understand if we should really be spending a good sum of money to get them. There are instances wherein we feel like we need something but after some thinking we'll realize that it was more of a want than a need. Another thing that can help is by giving yourself a few days before deciding on buying something, especially if doesn't fall on your immediate essentials like food and utilities. By giving yourself a few days to think about it, it will help you see just how much value it will bring to you.
