Even if you want to custom the fees but if the current fees are quite high, that's not going to help. You still have to watch out the fees and wait until they drop and it's on the amount that you're okay to pay with.

Encourage Customers to Pay With Bitcoin.

As much as we want to encourage them to pay with Bitcoin, me as a business owner, I'll choose the other way when the fees are like $1-$10+.

Thank you for the tips OP, I usually don't ever use Bitcoin for smaller transactions. From the start, I found several popular alts with low and almost zero fees. Perhaps this list will help us to use BTC more often.
