The features on this forum is quite easy to understand, mostly with it being legible enough.
Buttons like 'watch', 'notify,' is situated at the bottom right corner of any post comment on a thread/topic, all one needs to do is click and active it.

Also, notifications on a thread or comments or tag, wherein you were mentioned can also be gotten via email notifications. Input your email and link to your Bitcoinforum account. poof, voila, you will now get called in and notified for new updates, messages, comments, tags, mentions.

I use LoyceV Notification Bot.

It doesn't require telegram, which is a plus to me.

Sorry for dumb question, but I haven't used this bot, so, I curious to know. How you actually know that you got notification? As I understand, it goes to loyce.club website. So, do you have to manually check website to see whether you got notifications? Also, I read it's get updated only once in hour, but still, it's good alternative if you don't use Telegram.
Updates are every few minutes, settings are read once per hour. You can use check4changes or similar extension, but I just check my personal URL. I don't want notifications when I'm doing something else.

I check my personal URL just before I use the forum, LoyceV said . About 2 or 3 times a day (I am a heavy forum user lol)

I don't like telegram because it needs a phone number to create an account, and I don't want to mix my personal contacts with my forum identity
