I love watching Plinko balls dropping but I don't really mind about the sound unless I am away from my computer washing the dishes or cooking because that is where I will know if I hit big. The sound of a Plinko ball hitting large multi-wins is way different than x0.2 and x0.3 so it will matter.
But, when I am in front of my computer I'd like to have a soothing sound that would decrease the stress of losing which is actually the active thing in gambling. The music helps a lot and it could forget all the pessimistic words that will come out of our mouth and ideas that will make us do or say irresponsible words that the children might hear.

Well, thee are times I’m doing this but depends on my win-loss situation on that moment. Whenever I am losing, I tend to put everything down for me to have my focus on the game as if it would change anything especially with pure luck gambling games. And when I am somewhat winning, I tend to listen to some to lighten up my mood and to not be too greedy with my bets. But since I have moved in sportsbetting, I find it more entertaining to watch each games clearly and that means I won’t be playing any track or album in order for me to not let my attention slip. Music is a must. If makes everything more beautiful. I listen to music when I gamble, when I drive, when I work (not always though), while I’m jogging… you get the idea. I can’t think of a life without music. It is a shame though some religions say that listening to music is a sin. You may laugh at this but it is true. I've read some articles about research done in the field and a lot of this depends on the music you listen to and its volume, but working with music on puts more stress on your brain. It doesn't make you more careless, It doesn't make you waste more money. It's just that after 6 hours of working (and gambling falls into that category) and listening to music, you'll be more tired than if you did that in complete silence.

I like to do things with music on, but it's more healthy to do jobs you don't have to think too much with music on. For instance, washing your car, working out with music on is great. Gives you a sense of rhythm and speeds up the work. If you have to write an essay, or read a book, better turn it off.

I used to listen to jazz while playing, and some choir chanting. But these days i listen to audiobooks and podcasts while doing pretty much everything that doesn't need my full attention. If i need to read or calculate something, i will change to either my spotify favorite playlist, audio of rain and thunder, or white/brown noise or silence.

I don't do it to control my emotions but shut down other background noises that might distract me.

I think this depends on what type of gambling game you are playing, if it is slots then there is no problem with playing while listening to music but if it is a game that requires high concentration such as poker or baccarat then listening to music will only disturb your focus when gambling.

I when playing slots, I prefer to listen to the sounds that come from the game rather than listening to music when I'm having fun playing.

Whenever I'm gambling on games like blackjack, roulette etc that takes decision making I don't play with any kind of music.  I will listen to music if and when I'm playing slots since you are basically just pushing buttons randomly and there is no real thinking involved.  Also when playing poker I will listen to music while not in certain hands.

I think listening to music is way more entertaining to me, been done this in the past and not just while playing but while also studying or doing some errands. I think that's just a theory that we can't control our emotions while listening to music, it's not that music is the one doing the decision, it's all about self-control.

There are some people who's comfortable or like to listen to music while gambling like you. Especially, if the music gives you an intense beat as it definitely has the efficacy to make someone experience intense emotions. Gambling is just risking to make money. We aren't sure of the outcome, which means we'll be with some sort of expectation. The outcome might be painful or it can be enjoyable. In such situation it is really hard to enjoy music. On this contrary I never prefer listening music while gambling. Maybe if I had placed bets on sports betting I might listen to music as it takes lot time to know the result of my bet.

I personally mute each and every sound while gambling. Even the platform sounds were muted, which is to keep my activities secret. Earlier my wife used to identify I'm gambling based on the sound.

For me, it all depends on the situation and conditions. At a glance, let's talk about music first, in principle music can change our mood, it can make us sad or happy. Playing music makes me more entertained and relaxed, this is why I always have this.

This is dependent on my mood.  If I am into listening music then I just turn off the sound effect of the slots game and play music but most of the time I listen to the sound effects of slots.  To other gamblers, music may affect their gambling activities, especially their decision-making, but in my case, since most of the time I play slots, the music does not affect me.  Since I am playing with a planned funds, I do not care much if my bankroll got depleted, it is ther for the losing anyway.    Winning is just a bonus for me, having fun and an additional funds due to winnings.

I find listening to music and doing something else quite distracting to be honest.
