Being a member of this Forum, what are the things that you can say YOU have done for the growth of this Forum aside from posting (which is normal) or fishing out scammers/hackers.
I'd like to know because we do have members that have the title (if I should call it a title) PROMINENT dancing by their name, and I just wonder.
What have they done to own that title?
Is it that they have contributed much on this Forum? What have they done or how can we tell what they have done?

I'm in a no way an expert to know that why that title is given to the members of the forum and I don't really have internal information from the manager or sponsors who want such members to be part of their campaigns, but I'll try my best to explain what I think about those members. I guess that title is especially for the members who have been contributing to the forum for a long time. There are members who have been active on this forum for many years and through out all those years they have got trust of other users due to their contribution on the forum. The prominent member is someone who is known by majority of users and such members are known due to their contribution on this forum. The contribution can be in the form of threads, posts, or reporting the spam, AI spam, plagiarism, and scams, etc.

If I'm not wrong then the prominent members who have earned that title due to their consistent contribution on this forum are somehow rewarded by the campaign mangers in one way or other. Those members are accepted as contributing members of the forum because they have posted some very informative and useful threads and helped the forum and the member's in one way or another. Those members are few in number and campaign managers really know that who's a prominent member and who isn't one. Ah, in simple terms, a member has to be a helpful and contributing member of the forum for at least a few years in order to be called as prominent member.

Well, you used the right word as some of the old users of this forum are being addressed. Assuming you used legendary members in place of the prominent, I would have come in from a different perceptive. This is because, it is not all old users of this forum are prominent and it is not all prominent are very old.
But then, to become a prominent member you must have spent time here doing one or more of the following;

• Teaching newbies
• Sharing helpful information
• Fairly distributing merits 
• Answering questions
• Reporting spam

And lots more. Someone who has spent upto 3 years might have done these things better than someone who is barely few months old.

This forum wouldn't be nearly as successful if no one participated in their own little way. It is the genuine participation that counts, not the rush to earn ranks or merits that subjects newbies most times to post low quality gist or make comments that are off point.

Besides being a good lead to newbies and sharing research or new findings about technological advancement or innovation in the world including the decentralized world, as a Bitcointalk member, it is expected we improve on our vocabulary and present our words and sentences as simple and clear that anyone can easily comprehend.

I think making quality posts included lot of research and correct information is the primary activity of Bitcointalk. I start journey here with a newbie, learned from seniors and now I am aware of many new things about btc and crypto which would have been impossible without this forum. We are seeing lot of traffic on this forum , joining new members everyday because this is the place where one can get real valuable knowledge of crypto.

If we teach our community especially newbie and do valuable discussion here than we can say that we are somehow contributing well here. There are few members who's contributed in extra ordinary manner and make this forum very interesting and easy to perform some action in which Loycev, DdmrDdmr, TryNinja, Rikafip, Bitmover and Ratimov are remarkable.

As a Bitcointalk member, I have tried many newbies in our local board to teach them about different things and I knew some members who started with zero knowledge and now they are valuable member of this forum. besides this I contributed in scam accusation section but getting a Prominent is not as easy we think and the member who get it spend lot of time here and contributed their best they can.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.  Who's got what title dancing by their username?  Are you referring to Legendary members or some other thing?

I'm not sure I've helped this forum "grow" at all.  Growth implies increased traffic, new members, and that sort of thing--and if that's the question you're asking, I couldn't even name a single member who's helped in that capacity.  That's not to say there aren't members doing that, just that I don't know who they are. 

If you really want to give a shout out to growth drivers, aim it in the direction of projects/exchanges/whatever that run signature campaigns and bounties here, because those are the things that attract new members by the hundreds, perhaps thousands.  Not that I think they're always doing something positive for bitcointalk, but I have zero doubt they're responsible for the forum's popularity worldwide.

Compared to them, I haven't done jack shit.

We can't eliminate the importance of those who are impactful in catching spammers and cheaters, they are true heroes of the forum as long as they are true to the course.

And for others with "prominence" tags outside this, my research shows that some are truly deserving of it, but are very few. I checked a whole lot about many of them and it shows that their work speaks for them indeed.

But for most others, they are only lucky to join the forum earlier or have amassed many merits one way or the other, which is why they believe they are prominent, but I can't find anything outstanding they've done.

I'm not referring to anyone in particular but there are users in this Forum that are seen as, how do I put it, ok let me call it very special set of people, they have done something that even the new members see them and acknowledge them. If you refer it on ranks I don't think is all high ranked members that have done something for the growth of this Forum.

You can't really say if you have but people who have seen your works or should I say your actions , how you go about things making sure nobody fail the rules and regulations would testify for you, so to you S.C, you haven't done anything, but to others you have. About the signature campaign is like some people speak too much about that, as if everybody's attention is to just join and do the needful and logout, why is it that way?
Some members still think beyond that, is so sad that some people sees other members are money chasers, fine everyone needs it but making it as a topic on every thread is some how to me, we should just let it slide.

These set of people you mentioned above are the true MVP because is not easy for them to devote their time to fish out those annoying scammers and others who just choose to make the Forum unhealthy for users, I'll always acknowledge them for that.

Is best to always put them to heart other than mentioning them because the list to me won't end here, like they always say in my country (Nigeria) "you can't tell yourself you're beautiful, people around you are the ones to cherish your beauty" that's what you really mean by their work speaks for them.

That's true I quite agree with you on that, started early on the Forum and being old here makes them look outstanding without doing much for the growth of the Forum, to me I can't see such persons as prominent. To me before you own that you might have done something that's important or should I say helpful on the Forum.

What exactly do you want every user to do without posting, and of course people post here to share their ideas thought and knowledge and those who has created some tools to explore important things.
And I believe only those who are routed into programming and the rest, however peoples contribution depends on your strength and capacity of your knowledge and the area of interest I mean field of study. You can't expect those who have experience on Agriculture to be active on the technical board while they have area of specialization. So people contribute to forum according to the area's of specialization.

But yes at our local board I started a Pak Community Fund (Funcoin Karobar) where we collect Funds/Coins, which will be distributed at the end of the year among the Top and Quality Posters of the local Board. As of today we have collected $128 (USDT) . We are running this award since 2021 and in last two years in 2021 and 2022 we distributed around $250 among the top contributors of the forum on our local board.

What exactly do you expect of us? You’re the one who brought up the topic of members having a “prominent title” (which doesn’t exist btw) and yet you asked the rest of us to tell you how they got that title and the legitimacy of that title. At first, I was thinking you’re referring to badges but it dawned on me that you may be referring to popularity and fame. If you want to be a popular figure or a prominent member as you put it, you will have contribute more than the average member in bitcointalk. A good example would be the user Powerglove, his contributions set him apart from the crowd even when he was still a newbie.

You mean title a unique one? Like the event voting before. I doubt there are specialty about this. Being a user who contributed to a lot of discussion makes him a valued member of the forum regardless of his rank or hierarchy on the users which I doubt have any impact at all. I did shared on my locals some tutorials and even some altcoin related topics preferably retroactive airdrops and bounty before which I think some appreciated. Depends on someone will how they will recognise your effort here. Even tried to share some scam projects on that sections which i believe helped some to avoid with. Probably many shares their experience and contributions on different approaches.

At some point haven't you thought about doing something that's different from all what you have been doing on the Forum? Their is things that's disgusting and unacceptable in any means, spamming and scamming is one of them, anyone who is identify that is involve in scamming I think that have a questionable character, so we can't stand to say that scamming is good in society or good in the forum...the thing is that people especially young youths seen scamming as one of favourable way of making money in which is admirable and acceptable.

Every individual in the forum have its goals and objectives of coming to the forum..people who make quality posts their terms and words is very formative, so they choose of making educative post in order to transmits information to people who is unaware of certain information, while some people educate people technically base on the information they use, such as coding and programming.. so forum is full of different talents of yours depending the area you know better is where you will concentrate and make your own discussions.

Some people who is here for weekly and monthly subscription in the forum is interested in any contributions that will be of help to the community, they only concentrate to meet up their weekly posting quota so you don't expect them to have something meaningful or positive to the community, it's when you have forum in mind or you are web designer or technical person it when you will be fully support to the forum.

Anyway, talking about prominence; I think there are a few members here who've shown cause to that effect by the way they've carried themselves and made relevant contributions in helping other users get it going. Some have proved their trustworthiness and dependability over the years. It takes a lot to get people online to trust you in an anonymous forum like this. If anyone is able to do that, then they can be called prominent. Again, there are those who've developed one software or the other to ensure that this forum runs smoothly. Some are old members while others are new who just got on board and went straight to work like the user who created the "OP" tag that appears on every topic starter.

Op, People are here with different motives they must not be whatever you think they should be in this forum and to whatever title that should display beneath their username the commons were just staff and the rest but not assigning a title according to their input towards this forum, you should know that here is a school were we learn and teach people, if I am not mistakenly people do use here as reference place to what great news that holds bitcoin and it's deeper discussion as I can remember or recall vividly that here is one of the most reliable place to source out information that strictly talks about bitcoin and it's growth. Most people do not value title and especially users wants to remain anonymous without someone knowing their actions and capacity towards the forum.

Don't take posting so lightly. Without people posting there will be no twitter, no reddit, no websites, no blogs, no bitcointalk — nothing for search engines to gather data from. Can you imagine empty Internet?

Any thing that user does contributes to the forum, even if they are mere unregistered visitor, I have no idea about SEO stuff but I'm sure it helps in it some way.

This is a discussion community everyone here has a contribution in one way or the other, the growth of this forum is a cumulative effort of the community, even newbies have contributions, without them asking about a subject, there would be no discussion to explore.

There are members who extend more on their contribution these are knowledgeable people who contributed a lot on specific subjects, they go further by doing research so they can come out with the best possible answer, thus making them prominent members of the community, honestly for me, rank is not the parameters for becoming prominent members there are members I admire that are lower ranks but their contributions are enough to consider them prominent.
