Well for me , I have already selected an option in the pool which is the naija politics and other discussion because I believe this makes it a little less insulting as having one of your discussion moved to off-topic even if it's in the local board.

Other discussion will make the main local board to very less active, because all non bitcoin related threads are going to be reported and moved to other discussion. Later it will only result to people want off-topic board again. Off-topic board is not insulting but should be for what it should be for.

If other discussion should be created, we still need off-topic board, which would be what will later happen.

I think I concur to your opinion about the off-topic board, normally this forum was created for bitcoin discussion and bitcoin related activities so the main local board should serve for discussion about bitcoin while every other discussion should stand as an off-topic discussion. Navigating through the local board we can see that most of our discussion in the board are centered on politics, society, and the economy, so all of these can serve as off-topics therefore creating a sub board that will stand as a medium to interact and discuss threads that ain't bitcoin related should all be classified as off-topics.

Yes what you have just emphasis is just what we all are looking up to. There is a need for us to have other board in our Nigeria local board. In recent time there has been different thread created which are likely not worthy enough to be found in bitcoin discussion. but due to lack of other sub-boards like politics, off topic and others, people have been creating alot of thread that is not Crypto related and this has led many not to participate in our local board activities so we are pleading that our quest should be granted 🙏🙏 thanks

Hey did you people read the op post correctly?
Well I wouldn't mind to tell you both and other lower rank to go make your suggestion here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5473185.0 since op said lower rank or inexperienced user shouldn't post comment, so the link i posted above will help more better than posting here. That is where majority will leads since it's a combination of multiple hands to talks and express our hearts towards this concern in meta board it would give more audience since the topic will be regularly bump by poster so it will always appears first in that section.

I've casted my vote on the polls, and I went for the off-topic sub-board because it sounds cooler, but whatever the local members decide is okay, as long as it will help to organize things on the LB. But I really hope many people can vote for the off-topic s/board. There are some topics on our LB that do not fit into Bitcoin discussion, politics and society and I wouldn't want to call them other discussion because they are completely off-topic. So there's really need for an off-topic s/board.

Base on the number of people that interested and supporting the OFF TOPIC we are to add the off topic board in the Request Thread so that when the admin read the thread he will see everything and create the three Sub-boards mentioned above for us. I appreciate all the suggestions and comments. This shows we are one and moving forward to achieve our aims and goals. Though in a family there most be misunderstanding and that is part of any family. I will update the request thread with off topic later. Thanks

Thank you as well for soliciting for the well being of our local board, caliber of people like you shouldn't be scarce in our local board as your concern and efforts would not devoid. So to you and some other senior men who has taken this bold step and responsibility to make our local board convenient for all I applaud all of you and I hope to work with you someday as am still at the verge of growth in this forum.
