Indeed. Bitcoin doesn't have a central authority promoting it.  Instead, Bitcoin depends on the businesses and people already using it to get the word out.  This grassroots kind of marketing lets Bitcoin grow more naturally as people and companies talk about why they like Bitcoin and how it helps them and  it's not like some big advertising campaign shoving Bitcoin at you.  The businesses who take Bitcoin or use its technology have a stake in seeing it succeed, so they want to spread the news about how Bitcoin can benefit people.  This means Bitcoin catches on because people actively choose to start accepting and using it, not because some central power forced it on everyone all at once.  The decentralized nature of Bitcoin puts its promotion in the hands of the users, and that's how it should be.

Yes, we have survived the first decade without any promotions, hence that why in the beginning there are a lot of attacks on bitcoin and calling it names. But I guess this makes Bitcoin more stronger, as they keep on attacking it even at this point, we don't bother by it and just continue to buy and accumulate and now we have a country that make its legal. But if there are individuals who are going to promote it, let's say Michael Saylor, obviously he has some narrative behind. He is one of the biggest whales so far, so indeed he has to make a sales pitch whether he can, be it in his social media or going out in public to talk about BTC. But for us just average joe and ordinary investors, we might cross path with other people that might ask questions regarding Bitcoin and answer them the with the knowledge that we have. However, it's not a direct promotion, we will simply want people to discover it and hopefully make the (right) decision to invest.

Those whale investors like Michael Saylor, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg somehow use their power of influence to convince a lot of people to believe in the belief that they have in Bitcoin. And this is also a point for our crypto enthusiasts too, at least for the reality of the things that are happening so far.

No promotion has happened in a decade, but you will be surprised that Bitcoin still remains at the top of the market in the cryptocurrency business. So, of course, the other investors who are new will be surprised and invest quickly because they will think and know that many big companies and billionaire people are investing in Bitcoin. It's because of something like that that they are immediately convinced to invest long-term in Bitcoin, to be honest, and learning about bitcoin just follows for them.
