They are favorites but they are certainly don't play the best football. In my opinion , Uruguay is currently playing the best football in Copa America by far and that is because of Bielsa and his total offensive football style that most likely will carry this Uruguay team until finals.

Apart from having Lionel Messi in their side, the Argentina national team if full of world class attackers that can single-handedly win games for any team in the world. Yesterday against Peru, Messi was not having his best game but that didn't stop Argentina from win their match with a convincing 2:0 scoreline. After carefully accessing the teams that are playing in the ongoing Copa America, the only team I think can stand Argentina's strength if no other than Brazil. It is only the Brazilian team I think have all it takes to stop Argentina from successfully defending their Copa America title because of the quality of players and depth in squad of the Brazilian national team.
I would want to watch a final that'll feature Argentina and Brazil in the final because I would want to see a very quality game in the final of the  tournament. The result in the Chile vs Canada game was a surprising to me because I had initially thought that Chile were going to get an easy win in that particular win.

This is a very delicate group and the only country that is sure to qualify now is Venezuela who happens to have won all their group matches and currently beating Jamaica three goals to nil. I don't know where they found the strength seeing them defeat both Ecuador and Mexico and also trashing Jamaica, it is a sign that they are a team to watch.

Mexico is playing a draw with Ecuador and both are in the same point with Ecuador at the top by goal difference. Any of them that wins will qualify but it the match ends in draw, then Mexico is out of the competition. This will really be a sad thing for them because they are known as a football nation.

Argentina have truly done well in the group stage, winning all their matches without conceding a goal, that is a pretty good sign of a team that came to win.  What is interesting in the Argentine team is that they have scored five goals for now and four of those goals were scored by Lautaro Martínez, the Inter Milan striker while Julian Alvarez have scored one goal against the expectations of many that would have been expecting that he will be the dangerous one. Truly Argentina have a very bright chance in the competition but it is too early to decide because they still have Brazil and Uruguay in the competition.

No doubt Ecuador is not strong side with their performance was still much better than Mexico which is having the worst performance in this event as they were able to score only one goal in three games which is surely lowest from their standard but Ecuador done good job and having good win against Jamaica which give them spot into next round on cost of Mexico which is now having early exit from the event after having goalless draw.

Well its football and what do you expect, Argentina night be good now but they are so many other factors that can determine their elimination from the competition like a full time draw and a penalty shoot out between the two teams involved, although I know that even in penalty they do have a very good goalkeeper but good as emiliano is, there is  still the fact that penalty is a game of luck and anyone can win it.

From Group C, Uruguay secured the quarter-finals by winning two consecutive matches with 6 points. Tomorrow is the match between Uruguay vs USA. Tomorrow's match is very important for USA as they need to win to qualify for the next round. The last two matches between Uruguay and USA have been drawn. Currently Uruguay is in great form, I think Uruguay will win tomorrow.

Man, it is good to see that finally my beloved Venezuela is pushing towards and improving our reputation worldwide for once. I knew our football selection was going stronger, but I did not expect them to actually defeat Jamaica in such a way and leading the Group as the only undefeated member of it. I don't want to allow illusion to fill me up and then suffer a big disappointment in the end.
Time will tell, I would consider it to be a success if we somehow managed to get into finals.
Even if we do not make it through and take the cup, it would be enough for me to feel there has been a considerable increase of performance within the team and the football culture in general in this country.
It has been literal years since we felt we had a chance to feel illusioned for our boys in the field, this time it may be different and we accomplish to step into the World cup selected teams
