The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins

I don't remember it's name. It might have had "monkey" in its name. It's not the one being advertised now (or maybe it still is but it is not appearing to me). I'm sure there aren't hundreds of mixers that advertised here so if you or anyone can list the ones that advertised here, I am certain seeing the name again would ring a bell. This was last year. The amount they took was $7 worth at the time.

Do you mean ][banned mixer]? It's the only mixer you can describe. They had a campaign of signatures and stopped advertising.

The minimum limit for this mixer is 0.003 BTC, which is equal to $125.71 at current prices. It is a little high. I tried to mix and there is actually no warning about the minimum. Have you downloaded the letter of guarantee?

The criteria where it has something similar to "money" and had advertised here but no longer did so was also shared by WW, and WW should make more sense, given it have more massive campaign and logically reached wider audience. But nope, not WW. And should not be mixy either, as OP already gave this thread a read [it has list of mixers] and none rings a bell, and the thread has mixy on its list.

If it is a fine print hidden somewhere, or in their terms and conditions or policy of 50 pages instead of boldly in front of you when you are paying, would that be a "hey! Its your fault. They told you"...?

I remember...a) not seeing it and b) actively looking for it after paying thinking stupid me didn't notice but still not seeing it. And no, I did not comb through their site and terms and conditions to search or any indications that I would be had. I expected a legit business to make sure to make such things clear from the git go. The only reason you wouldn't is to scam people in some shape or form and to some extent.

We need to try to establish what site it is first.

I went back to the thread holydarkness suggested I look at to which I said none of the mixers on it rang a bell and noticed that even though that post was made in 2018, that list was updated just a few days ago. So I figured the mixer I used could have been removed from the list. But I remember going through that list last year when I was looking up the legitimacy of the mixer before using them. It was on that list.

So I got on wayback machine, clicked on 2022, May...and Viola! Right there at the beginning of the list. Just looking at the name might not have rang a bell but seeing that banner definitely did (which is what I was hoping for...to be able to see their logo or the site because photographic memory works much better).

So yeah...I'm %90 sure that was it! Though I don't know what to do with this discovery now, especially considering they are now defunct. Appreciate it though! 🙏

The OP was never interested in knowing the name of the mixer he allegedly lost $7 with while he was mixing. Or to make it more, when someone created a thread (especially Scam Accusation) and does not even provide any evidence it cannot be taken seriously.

Furthermore, when the one accusing is then asked to provide evidence but all that is presented are more ramblings rather than coherent statements (but evidence is conveniently missing), it all points to this being an attention-seeking exercise by the OP.

Yes, he is just creating drama here and not interested to provide necessary information so that this matter can be looked into carefully. He must has used browser where he open mixers site and can check history to locate the mixer name. Also as you mentioned letter of guarantee is first thing that we save when mixing but OP completely ignoring members reply.

Are you not dare enough to start btc mixing without checking the recent list and you even don't know the name of the mixer? you can go through page because all mixers are individually suggested by other members which later added to main Thread.

if you don't know what to do, you can move on, you've learned your lesson, read ToS and do your own research before using a service it can save you a lot of trouble. in the future, if you have some doubts about a service you want to use, you can ask here in the forum.

It's all thanks to your big effort to dig waybackmachine [certainly because you didn't know that every posts in this forum is archived by a dedicated website], and probably some luck is being involved here, that you browse in mobile that you notice the date of the edit, because if you use desktop, you'll have to hover to the date of the post to know when did a post got edited, most likely not something a newbie will notice.

But, alas! If only you did the same effort you did now to dig that name as before when you tried to mix your coin, you'll notice the minimum amount to be mixed was specifically informed on the FAQ, just mere clicks away. Seems like a wasted effort, is it not? You spent time to look for the legitimacy of mixer, use disposable email, mask every trace, etc. to ensure your privacy, but you ultimately stumbled upon a problem just because of something that can be discovered in less than thirty seconds. It was CM. Quite funny... umm, I mean sad, isn't it? With all of those precaution he made, and he failed to consult to the FAQ which link was literaly at the bottom of CM's page. If only we know why OP bother to send 7 USD and concerned for the privacy of that amount.

They usually have it in FAQ section and not buried somewhere in TOS, written in small letters.

Question to you... Let's assume that is true and that it was indeed in the FAQ. My question, to you, is... such vital piece of info, why put it there and not clearly on the page of purchase?

OK, now that we know it was CM, it's blatantly obvious that you deliberately lied here. Not only was CM the most widely used mixing service at the time, but it clearly stated its minimum mixing requirement (the minimum chip size) of 0.001 BTC on the deposit page when you start a mix, not just in the FAQ section. And, there was never a "50 page policy" or confusing terms of use, but a simple FAQ with a few simple and clear Q&A, easily accessible from the front page. Their transparency was crystal clear, yet you chose to ignore it.

He never provided any proof that he ever sent funds to a any mixer (be CM or a different). All that we have from the OP is his own story that he has posted without the slightest piece of evidence. I do not believe the $7 story and I am convinced he is an alt-account that is attention seeking. He does not even have a transaction id therefore why should he be believed?

Though it is not impossible the incident occurred, the manner in which he posted responses when questioned was sufficient for me to base my conclusion.

The way he is posting also shows him trying to show he is unaware of certain things but he cannot fool all the people reading the thread.

I think he's leaning more toward trying to stir the pot for mixers instead of looking for attention. He targetted mixers in general as his initial complaint, "clueless" about the platform that become the issue here, maybe tried to fish other people pitching in with negative experience of their own, pushed to mention specific platform and has no choice but to name one just to keep his story sounds reliable. And when confronted with his growing number of discrepancies, he pull the whole Avatar Aang move.

It was fun toying with him, though.

Meanwhile, the fact that he has not logged in, I think it's because he also follow and read this thread from his other account. Realizing that his attempt to raise a ruckus failed, he didn't bother to go back online with that account.
