I'm not good with graphics and I don't have a personal website. I also don't want to sell my signature space, or so...

I just can code. You will find some postings with screenshots here, if you want to know, what I'm doing.

Hello,

After being a long-time lurker here, I finally decided to register. A recently sour experience with PhenixEx is what really prompted me. I had signed up there to trade Orbit coins and traded a few coins to BTC. I tried to withdraw my BTC and ... it got stuck in Processing. I read this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=290165.0 and then this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=299765.0. I figured I would sign up and add my two cents and see if it gets resolved. It wasn't much, about 0.6 BTC, but still. I understood it was in Beta and might have a few hiccups but c'mon. So that's what brought me to register and post this message.

Otherwise, hmm. I pretty much grew up with computers, cutting my teeth on Apple //e, Commodores and Amigas. I still have two Commodore 128D-CR's and an Amiga 3000D and 4000D that I tinker with now and then. Not surprisingly, my day job is working as a software developer (Windows and web, depending upon our project needs).

I was at a local Big Lots yesterday and saw the EZ-Eyes keyboard (huge ugly yellow keys) and thought it would be funny to bring that in to work and use as my keyboard. For $5 who cares, it'd be fun. Well, I'm so disappointed!! Half the keys are dead. What a total P.O.S. I also picked up two small 4ft Xmas trees for my kids (Pink and Blue). They loved them, except my daughter wants to put hers up NOW. Oops...

Final thoughts ... anybody drop the $60 for GTA V (PS3 version)? Totally worth it, or wait for it to come down in price? I usually don't get games the moment they come out but occasionally make an exception.

If all the rain the weathermen are predicting for Florida come true, I may need a boat to get home!

Take care, pleasure meeting y'all.

It's a gambling site where the house bankroll is made of public funds.
If you have some btc of your own, you can go there and invest in the house (or gamble).

There's a thread about it in the security section of this forum (Marketplace -> Securities).

In the next 3 years, 1 bitcoin will be worth more than 1 oz of gold.

Bitcoin's already approaching the price of an ounce of gold! I think Bitcoin's could settle around the $10,000 to $15,000 range and have significantly less volatility, about the same volatility as silver.

Hi

Is the newbie hangout a good place to get an answer to this question :

It seems that the only way to trade in alternative currencies like devcoin, namecoin is to get bit coin first and then trade for alt's at an exchange.
Can you generate addresses and keys off line (cold storage) for alt currencies just like you can with bit coin od do you have to trust the exchange with your address and keys ?

Hi Jed, welcome to the forum. In general, yes, that is an easy way. Buy BTC first, then move/sell to an exchange that handles the alts you are interested in. There are probably several offline generators, here is one for litecoin.
