I probably have lurked hundreds of hours on this forum but cant post, thats a shame
Now i am no more a noobie !
On a more serious note, this is really annoying. I now have more than 5 posts and I still can post anywhere but here even though i want to contribute to a thread.

just 15000blocks togo before my abe install is synced up , will attempt to make some kind of notify service based on the MySQL database. My idea is to have a list of addresses to monitor, and in the first crontab, ie. every 5 minutes we check if there is new transactions for any of the monitored addresses. If there is any, they are added to a new list of monitored transactions. The next crontab then checks if the required number of confirmations have been reached and then sends the notification/changes the db. Not sure how stable the bitcoind/abe/mysql setup is yet, have spent about 6hours getting this far, but the latest blocks are alot bigger than the first 140k |

I wish I sold everything when it was at $1,800 USD per oz! Do you think it will ever reach that again? Well, to answer that you must answer another question. Do you think the dollar will continue plowing ahead at it's current strength? Or do you think the dollar is going to start seriously hurting soon? Gold is considered a safe harbor by many investors. I think that the dollar is going to grow weak after Christmas is over. Christmas has always been on of the best times of the year for the dollar; once that temporary boost is over, I think gold will go right back up as the dollar tumbles downward. |

My newbie days were awesome. Back before the mybitcoin stuff, but right after mtgox (literately, I started bitcoins the day after the hacking). I developed mtgox trader (the mac app) a couple days later, and it was good.
