I too encounter this phenomenon periodically. I have noticed that it happens when using certain servers on my VPN. I can't explain the reason for this behavior of these servers, maybe CloudFlare considers them suspicious or something else, but when I switch to another server this problem disappears.

I face this whenever I am trying to access the forum using TOR. So I also think it's a cloudflare related thing. More like a security checkup. In normal cases without using any third party VPN or TOR like things it never shows up. Sometimes it would show up when the Internet connection is so slow. Apart from these cases, never encountered this.

Forgot to add one thing, "View all" causes it every time, who knows why!

I have this behavior not always, but most of the time. I don't know why it happens, so I can't tell you anything about it. I think only theymos can clarify this situation with this behavior and who is "at fault", the forum or CloudFlare.

Sometimes it loads up a while after I click on the verify button other times I will wait endlessly for it to load because it keeps loading and asking to click verify over and over again.

This has nothing to do with a slow internet connection or the number of pages you are loading as many had said but the extent of the privacy of the browser you are using. If you are using browsers like Tor and others that act like a VPN, there will be a problem. And this can also happen when you are actually using a VPN to browse, especially when the VPN is not a strong one, mostly the free version.

What do you mean "privacy extension"?

You should know this already, the extent of the security and privacy of your browser. You don't expect a normal Chrome to behave like Brave or Tor, even Incognito mode. I use Chrome for my Bitcointalk, and no VPN.

BTCt is a very user-friendly forum, and in my experience so far, it has nothing to do with slowness but security check (verification), and this year as a whole, I have never experienced what the OP narrated with my PC that I use all the time to browse the forum.

I often experience such on some websites, but not this. However, when I opened the forum through the Tor browser to be specific, or at times with VPN, I experienced such once in a while, especially if I wanted to load more pages as you said. The obvious difference here is the privacy of the browser.

Why didn't it ever happen when I use a normal browser with my normal IP and it happens often when I use a Tor Browser or VPN?

I think maybe you didn't understand what the OP said was happening. He was not referring to normal use of the forum.

Click on the link, and you will see how the message mentioned in the OP will also appear. It appears to all users, regardless of the browser they are using, or any other characteristic of their connection.

What the OP mentions is that sometimes this process takes longer than other times. And this happens, because of the size of the topic (the bigger the topic, the longer) and based on the user's type of internet connection.

The forum is really fast and everyone usually enjoys a good browsing experience. Only, when you choose the option to see all posts in a topic, the OP's message appears and can cause a greater slowdown in the response.

Thank you for taking the time to explain this and know that I fully understand what you are saying and I also understand what the OP is saying, and regardless, my responses are valid with the situation as well.

Because of this, I've tried many "All" options on the forum, including the link you posted and none of the options clicked directly on the forum behaves the way the OP explained, but only the one you posted above (which also loaded within 3-4 seconds, not for the slowness of the network but for an automatic verification). By the way, that is on my normal browser with the real IP. Again, I tried the "All" option on the Tor browser just now, and it referred again to what the OP is saying.

Is it not clear already? And the reason for my advice is for the OP to probably know the cause or part of the cause. I am sure he will not experience that if he perhaps stops using VPN or those private browsers. But if he can't, he would know that it is partly responsible for it.

When there is a load on different servers of BitcoinTalk, it often comes with me, not only through this website but also through some other websites through which I get these hustles when I open the websites. Also, when I tried to open BitcoinTalk on my Google browser, it did the same. But there is another problem regarding the matter of BitcoinTalk websites.
 
When I open through my PC, it opens very fast, and when I try through my mobile phone, it does mostly the same. Also, I cleared the catch on Google, but it is doing the same. I hope some users will find a solution to that. 
 
I have tried sometimes through the VPN on my PC, but it is doing the same. I hope this will not be an issue due to my PC. I think that will be a server issue sometimes.

Maybe it's not a problem when vpn is used maybe page load looks like this.I also faced the same problem today but I clicked the verify button first and then it was fine.

Your concerns, I will split in two ways.

1. I do not know what exactly triggers this population or even why it sometimes take you to another tab on your browser when clicked either intentionally or mistakenly but I've noticed the same.

2. The idea of delay in loading is not unconnected to your network efficiency. A lagging network speed can cause the delays and keep it loading for longer than supposed to.

Get a better network so it doesn't delay next time

Internet, check your internet provider, although bitcointalk's not banned in ISPs anyway, but I'm guessing you can look into that as well. Also as some people in here have already pointed out, longer wait times happen because of the topic size (how many people interacted with it). I often experience this myself when I'm visiting topics with more than 20+ pages of replies. So I guess you should look into topics that aren't so much congested if you want to immediately get into posting/replying.

Oh, sometimes the site's wonky too, I believe we already had a couple site-wide outages in this year alone, and we might experience a couple more since the site's pretty much the same as it was from 10 years ago with minimal changes.

Obviously, the forum uses DDoS protection developed by the company Cloudflare. The most common reason when a user is asked to fill out a CAPTCHA is that you are using an IP that previously had suspicious activity on the network. The simplest solution is to use another VPN connection.
