Welcome to shuffle.com, we are pleased to announce 2nd round of Betting Contest for our Bitcointalk community.  It's live and it's going to be a fantastic ride.

Feel free to create an account if you haven't yet.

Total Prize- $500
1st - $200
2nd - $125
3rd - $75
4th - $50
5th - $25
a. Highest winning odd- $15 (Must be above 2 or higher odd)
b. One random contestant will receive $10 (You can’t win this if you are a winner above. This is exclusively for the contestant who couldn’t win any prize, and must have followed the following rules.)

Rules & Requirements
1. Place single bets with 1.50 odds or higher on any sport.
2. Post your winning bets here with the bet id and screenshot of the bet(image link will be preferred).
3. The minimum amount of bet is $3 or equivalent.
4. Make sure the bets are settled and posted here by 10th January 2024 at 23:59:59 UTC.
5. No duplicate bet on the same match. 1 match = 1 bet.
6. The reward will be directly credited to your Bitcoin address.
7. In case of a draw, winners will share the pool equally.
8. No multiple accounts.
9. 1 prize per winner.
10. Must have 10 winning bets to qualify for the prize above.
11. Rules can be adjusted by shuffle and me but if the adjustment makes sense only.

If we look at rule number 10 it means a minimum of 10 bets won, if you don't have it then you don't meet the contest requirements

Additionally, the 10 winning bets must have odds of at least 1.5 or higher. So if you already have 10 sports betting wins but the odds are below 1.5 then that also does not meet the contest requirements

Yes now I understand, I've done more than 10 single bets but that's still a lot of losing, so to chase 10 winning bets is still a little difficult.

Little Mouse, a little advice for the next contest, whoever bets the most he will win first place.

A little disappointed also in the French League match, PSG was ahead but had to concede at the end and the score became 1-1 with LOSC, yes what else can I do, the bet lost.

Because is i want to be tactical, latter would mean that gambling with 3$ bets wouldn't most likely bring us near top prices, as one wealthy player could just move to the top with few high roller $1000+ bets. So if rich high rollers are most likely rewarded, it would change my tactic. I just wanted to make sure that if this is the case?

I placed a $3 bet in TRX and won 2 single bets, but for some reason I checked just now the bet became $2.93 is it because of the influence of the TRX price dropping?

If so then this is not included in the minimum requirement of $3 bet, right?

It's the number of winning bets. Say you win 20 bets worth $3 each while some other have won 19 bets with $6 each. You are the winner.

Plus wouldn't it be better for the contest if the users post their bet slips only after they have already made ten winning bets? It wouldn't make a difference and I know I'm nitpicking. Haha. But it would make the thread look cleaner in my opinion.

Posting after 10 winning betslips? I think posting the progress helps others to see the necessary amount of bets to chase.

I have not owned an altcoin since I believe 2020. But if the fees remain very high, I might be forced to use Litecoin temporarily. It's purpose and utility is starting to be truly noticed by the people like me who rejected it. Hahaha.

This is good for bettors like me who just recently find out about this contest, I need to make more bets now even on live betting on the same game just to make sure I'll get the minimum. See this. You may have some pending bets which can be settled at the last minute or close, you may have missed submitting them. None of your bets placed after 21st December 23:59:59 will be counted as valid. But you have 48 hours to submit your winning bets which you have placed today.

I'm sure LM will make an adjustment next time to make this contest more interesting, but as of now, we need to play with the rules.

Had it not been for that 48hour rule, the landscape could be different by now, imo I think let's make the game easy for everyone going forward by doing without that rule in future rounds to remove the uncertainty and stick to time posting...

Already looking at the current state of affairs in the thread, change only happened in the next ~20 minutes after the deadline which shows most of us play within the 7day running of the competition.

Haha, sorry mate, not my intention to put you in the 4th place.  Good thing LM brought this to gambling board discussion, otherwise, I woudn't see it. When saw this and I got interested, right there and then I funded my shuffle account from my stake balance. I just got lucky I guess but I'm pretty sure the next round onwards will be a tough competition with you guys.

Yes the second round will be even tighter, I don't think this contest will have whales with large amounts of bets like you, but obviously at the end they take out all the betting ids which is quite a lot.

You got a point, and I forgot about that rule since it rarely happens in the games and rounds section. Now that the fees are shifting down, we probably don't need to switch to altcoins.

When it comes to duplicate bets, is it going to be possible to place a bet in the form of (A, X¹) and (C,X²) X representing a game with different markets that a player gets say Full time winner and other market being a handicap bet..will this count as a duplicate bet or both stand as a valid bet towards multi bet battle?

That's the NBA regular season experience for you. Betting on slight favorites is sometimes similar to betting on a coin flip and can be a trap.

Earlier today, I got destroyed in the La Liga matches and went 1/3 on my bets, thinking every team could score a goal.

If you want more soccer matches, I suggest testing the waters on the lower leagues (Championship, League One, Serie B, La Liga 2, etc.)

I'm not really much of a sports bettor. I have to compute how much I should lose while trying to reach the ten bet minimum, and how high I might place in the contest. Trying to win 50 bets to get first place will result in a loss, and a risk that the prize will not make up for that loss.

I'll try to show you more than 60% winning strategy for basketball in Round 3, plus for the minimum required amount to bet, I will experiment with the strategy before the official round starts.

It's more of a strategy to win the contest by accumulating winning bets than an efficient strategy to actually win in sports-betting. The odds will be low and near the required 1.50, but it might give a higher probability of winning than merely betting the favorite.

Problem is many of us aim for the 1.5 odds and after two losses back to back then you are thrown off your game.. sometimes bet bigger to recoup your losses and you will survive longer but don't take my word for it...

You're right! I didn't consider the difficulty of recouping losses from 1.50 odds. But it's also a little harder to find winning bets/games that are 2.00 or better. Some luck plus a bigger amount of betting capital are definitely needed to be a winner in the sports-bets AND the contest.

I mean, if we really want to win, we should keep betting, and honestly, I don't use any analysis on my bets, I just put a bet on all games available with 1.50 up, but my average odds probably was 1.90.

Let's make it more exciting in the 3rd round, make it a bet difficult and yet not time consuming.
