Omo! this matter dey pain me, why e be say, when dollar dey increase, people wey buy goods when dollar never increase dey immediately increase price because dollar don go up, but now wey dollar dey come down, the price of things no dey come down. I know say some people go say, "eh they bought their goods when dollar dey high" sometime na lie, most of them no buy anything when the dollar been dey up but them still increase their prices. Imagine mango wey dey grow for my backyard na somebody dey sell 1 for 200 because things are expensive abi na Garri wey be everybody food before don turn rich man food.

I want make the government take up this matter and make sure they follow up with all these manufacturing companies  wey they produce these things and make sure they reduce their price. When I go market, the retailers go say na the people wey dey produce the thing na e be the cause of the high cost that's why I want make the government face the manufacturers first. If the government no put mouth for this matter, na so everybody go just adjust to this broad day light robbery and it's very painful.

We no fit even differentiate the market prices of locally grown products from those of imported products Dem come the make the country unnecessarily hard in all areas. People will not always coordinate themselves as long as they have the privilege of not being controlled, all because they wanted to take advantages of making money on others, same way the same people will experience with their own encounter with the other people when they also go to buy goods, making profits is not idea that we have to do such in an illegitimate ways, we need to considers others and be sincere, you cannot imagine a trader having an old stock in the market and selling at the current inflated price because of making profits, before the general price of items in the market could come down, the government needs to boost the economy and handles some important aspect of it that might cause a sustained inflation.

Without government, I don't think we have the power to fix the price of commodities in Nigeria and, nobody will listen to you in that aspect but if government really mean it that they want to put an end to high cost of living in the land, they can use their tasks force to force people to follow the instructions of the government.

The manufacturers are using diesel for manufacturing. Also that the price of the raw materials used for manufacturing could have gone up. So if diesel and the raw materials used for the manufacturing have gone up, you should expect increase in the cost of the goods manufactured.

Retailers go complain about transportation cost, transporters go complain about high cost of PMS or diesel, wholesale distributors nko, them own be say dollar still never come down reach, plus high cost of shipping and delivery and payment charges, so them go continue to sell at the current price until everywhere don calm, but e no dey always dey calm sha.

To regulate the prices of goods and commodities, this actually lies in the hands of the federal Government to do so, and through its regulatory agencies. Now the dollar exchange rate has dropped against the Nigerian Naira, and yet when you go to the market, prices are still way too high like of when the rate was on the high side, and we are yet to see the appreciation of Naira over dollar to get priced in the market, so this is government duty to regulate prices, still they don't play their role in helping the masses, whereas they leave the manufacturers, importers, and retailers still taking advantage of then increased dollar rate.

Dollar increased to almost 1900 naira and the price of goods and services also increased. Dollar fell from almost 1900 naira to 1260 naira and you said dollar is still at high price after 1.5 times that naira increased if compared with the dollar. You later said goods can be costly as usual and you gave reasons and also said it may not calm but continue to be costly and also said it will calm which is contradictory. Which one are you saying? If Naira increases in value more and things are more expensive, what is your gain or how is it good for the country?
