IMAGES OF THE YEAR 2023   

An old proverb says that a picture is worth a thousand words. Based on this, I am pleased to announce the first TalkImg Awards - Image of the Year 2023.
I therefore invite everyone to participate and share the image that marked your year 2023.
It can be any type of image: drawing, photography, image generated by AI; in short, any image that represents the year 2023 for you.



  CATEGORIES  
There may be 3 categories in competition:

• Drawing: A handmade drawing, in charcoal, Indian ink, or other type of material. It can also include digital works, made in Photoshop (or equivalent), as long as they are created by the user themselves.
• Photography: Photograph, preferably taken by the person himself (or clearly identified the author of it).
• AI Image: Artistic work developed using AI tools

Update 13/02/2024: Since the number of participations was low in all categories, the images will all be voted on in a single category.


A category will only enter the competition if it has at least 3 participants. If there are not enough users for the three categories (I hope that doesn't happen), a single category will be created that will include all entries. Participations from a category that does not enter into competition may be replaced in another (after analysis), for user voting.


  RULES  

• Any user registered in the forum for more than 120 days, and who in the last 120 days have received at least 15 merits, will be able to participate.
• Only images that are hosted on the www.talkimg.com service are accepted.
• Each user can participate in the 3 categories, with only 1 image for each. If the participant submits more than one image in a category, only the first image presented will be accepted (unless specifically indicated by the participant).
• If an image clearly violates copyright, it will not be accepted.
• The participant may indicate photographs by other authors, but must clearly identify the respective author, but it must be licensed for public use, or the participant has prior and proven authorization (if requested) for use.
• Participations, before being put to vote, will be evaluated by the promoters, to check that they do not violate any copyright, using various tools they have at their disposal.
• The organization may change/adjust these rules at any time. Promoters can accept or reject any image/participation based on these rules and copyright and privacy protection criteria.

  HOW TO PARTICIPATE  
If you meet the participation criteria, to participate do so as follows.

Registrations that do not follow this standard may not be accepted.
It is not mandatory to give a title, but it will be appreciated.


  CALENDAR  

• Registration until February 4, 2024, at 29:59 (WET).
• Between the 7th and the 12th of February 2024, voting will begin for +/-30 days.
• Days later, at the end of voting, the winners are presented.

This topic is for registration and debate, then a topic will be opened just for voting.


  PRIZES

  ^{Note: It should be noted that printing on canvas is low cost for me, because it involves my work. However, if the winner does not want to receive the screen print, the prize is converted to $40 in bitcoin.}
• BC.Game Provides: Offer of $100 in bitcoin to the author of the most voted image.
  ^{In case of a tie the amount will be divided.}
• Icarus Provides: Offer of an Icarus Card with the print of the image with the most votes, to the author of the work.
  ^{Prize processed directly by Icarus.}

Of course! I have been a photographer for almost 10 years I don't really have a problem with any of my metadata being saved, I am used to it. Nevertheless, I have trimmed out all the data I wanted to remove.

To be honest, most of the time I require my metadata to be uploaded to claim ownership. Of course that's not the case here.

All metadata is deleted whenever an image is uploaded to TalkImg.

Alright, since people are worried about their privacy and whatnot, here are some tips:

Once you take a picture, no matter if it has meta data or not, here are the methods used to geo-locate you from a picture:

Natural landmarks, trees, plants, mountains, sky, stars, clouds, angle of sun rays, color of soil, rocks etc.
Buildings, streets, logos etc.

Those are outdoors, for indoors :

Paintings, position of light bulbs, door size, windows size and position, wall size, what kind of materials used, furniture, type of your clothing, kitchenware, home appliances etc.

From all of the above, they can locate you, so quit being paranoid, the people you are running or hiding from, those you are afraid of, already know everything about you. I only know one true master of incognito, aka satoshi, the rest of us are more like jokes for the deep state cabal. 😉  

The ways they can use to identify you online, is beyond your understanding, lol btw, nice job on the service sir josue the joker.
