And with the internet comes bullshit such as "PayPal Business" where they will steal your money and rob you out of your hard work and other worries that weren't previously even possibly a thing before the internet

It’s not just about TikTok, you have to generalize it. TikTok, Facebook, Instagram! Are really the negative sides of the internet. A lot of people fake their lives just to be called an influencer. And then they cause depression for those who can’t afford it and can’t be content with what they have either. This has led to people committing suicide, and even being unproductive because they think they are not worth enough.

lets not look into the bad things only because as I believe in other countries there are useful things about social media site that you mentioned , like the market place in facebook that there are lots of people who sells and buy their needed things and TikTok store in which like alibaba that sells product local and imported .
so lets not look in bad side only but also in the brighter side.

Lol . maybe you don't know what Online store means that's why you are only looking in the bad side , don't you have social media account? physical stores? not all people have enough time to look for the things they need in physical stores specially those items that is not available in every usual stores.

Well that is what other people calls entertainment but I do agree with you that Tiktok and Reels  in facebook are making people like retards , like in my country that those tiktokers and reelers are doing anything just to earn views and stars to make penny .
and it sucks seeing those in my wall that sometimes I am blocking them just to leave my wall.

This generation and the older generation has experienced different kinds of hardships. We can't exactly compare the hardships of both generations considering the times were very different. Both generations have developed a different sense of tolerance in terms of hardships maybe that is why something as simple as a slow internet connection is already considered as a nuisance for this generation.

Earlier when there was no availability of various technological devices and the internet to know about a subject or to collect any information we had to go to different libraries to find and read books on that subject. But with the current information and technological development we are now getting at our fingertips, I can read what I need right now from Google. The time saved in this we can spend on other good things and learn more which was not possible before. But it is a very simple fact that people are diverted from hard work by technological development. Yes that's the benefits of the Internet, if there was no Internet during the pandemic would he have been able to become successful through selling products online?, no matter the disadvantages of the Internet, I see it as a means to solve human problems and it's advantages have surpassed the disadvantages because over the years new ideas has emanated from the Internet and human knowledge keeps increasing due to technology and things that is being learnt on the Internet.

Talk about online stores and I don’t need tot tell you that those market place can never be compared to Amazon, AliExpress, and some other big online stores. And irrespective of how big the marketplace you speak of is, the way you weigh the good/importance is subtraction the bad from the good and see if there’s anything left. When you do this with the popular social media platforms, you’d see that it’s best we buy in physical stores and call our families to get updates from them, than use an app that sucks you dry of every data possible.
