Crime harms individuals, families and communities. It causes loss of life, physical and mental injuries, property damage and financial hardship. Crime can destroy trust in society, creating fear and insecurity. In fact crime has been a part of human society for as long as humans have existed on earth. As long as there are individuals with different interests, there will be conflicts and transgressions. Although we can work to prevent and reduce crime, it will likely continue to be a part of human existence in the future. Our focus should be on tackling the root causes of crime and creating a fair and just society for all.

The crime trend is increasing day by day all over the world, maybe this crime trend will never be removed from the world. As long as people live on earth, this crime will exist among people. There are various types of criminal tendencies among people, one of the crimes in our society is juvenile crime. In society, depression, lawlessness and poverty are the main causes of juvenile delinquency. If these uneducated children are given the opportunity to be educated and fed, then maybe the juvenile delinquency will be reduced to some extent

How I wish there's zero tolerance on crime rate everywhere in the societies, people will have to engage on their daily businesses without the fear of what danger may befall them through the societal influence, also, many financial and economy activities of the people would have been controlled and well coordinated, there will be less security threat or challenges, and the rate on loss of lives and properties would have also been dealt with if the people are determined to living a free life without crime.

Never seen such topic which says crime is positive ? I mean how can someone say crime is necessary to bring in social change ? It's a common sense that it's either greedy or circumstances which forces people into committing crime regardless of circumstances crime cannot be justified and rather we should focus on controlling the crime and eradicating it by figuring out the root cause. Some study should be conducted to know what is pushing them to commit crime and then hold the relevant department responsible and work around to fix it. Crime is never good it's evil.

Crime can't be justified and to give reasons why people commit it. Crime shouldn't be seen as something good, and I don't think that there is any benefit in crime, and this was why the law was made because crime has been a disadvantage to the society and threat to human lives. OP, can you tell me where Arm robbing, kidnapping, killing and raping has a positive effect on the society. Anything crime is evil, and it is not of God but of the Devil, because the bible let us to know that the devil came to steal, kill and destroy.

It's very hard to see any thing good coming out from crime. In fact, even if there's positive impact of it in our society, it doesn't worth discussing considering the damages it could caused. I understand the Op point because I remember reading somewhere that the presence of crime help to improve the security measures in our society but I don't see that as a valid reason or as a positive impact based on what it takes to intensify the security system and what it'll cost the society.

We can not refute the fact that after crime security measures are being intensify but that alone is a negative impact on its own because it will cost the victims emotions and finance to improve the security. Fear will be created in the society and people would feel unsafe in their own society thereby affecting the living standards. Whatever angle one is talking from, crime should not seen as something that can impact our society positively.

A good example here is a man whose house can be taken away by the city and, seeing no other way, he commits a crime on a city employee who wants to enforce that order. By law it's a crime, but ethically the man is protecting his home and his family.

Crime is not always good or bad. In fact it rarely happens that someone is deprived to the core and attacks another person because he feels like it, wants to calm his rage down, or is interested in financial gain.

There is No way, crime can have positive impact in any society rather it will diminish,impact negatively, cause dangerous effects and will take away peacefully coexistence in society . I think society and crime are so intertwined.As long as there are people there will be society and as long as there is society there will be crime. Every society has criminal tendency but this criminal tendency has a negative effect on the people living in the society.

Criminal tendency may never be eradicated from the society but it can be curbed and even reduced. If we didn't have crime trend in every country in this world then people of every country could live very peacefully. In the society, people commit various types of crimes like theft, robbery, terrorism and fraud.

There is no justification for crime in any society except in the case of mental instability . The state created the instruments of the state for correction  , the social system or the state system is organized in a way that, without been told , individuals become aware of principles of social conduct.

The family and school teaches these social conducts and the instruments of the state for correction and sanction. Therefore, individuals do not need to commit crime to notice or discover that certain crimes are actually crimes  or that bad things done to others are actually crimes.

OP you see even though crime cannot really be eradicated totally from the society, crime shouldn't be considered in any form at all because if you know the consequences with which crimes pose to it's victims, then you will certainly understand with me that crime shouldn't be welcomed in any form and whoever involves their selves in crimes in other to cause panic and uneasy to the society deserves some high level of punishment.

According to richbased op you really need dig deep about crime and it's effects on the society because consequences of allowing a drop of it not fighting it in all aspects is very dangerous. So far as their is greed that exist in the life of human crime will always exist,  so far as human have the ability to covet crime will exist.  Anger,  greed, unforgiveness, and so many more exist crime will exist in the world . Some people commit crime just because of anger, so I think crime is something that can be eliminated from the world. What would have been good as in a society and the people are living together without the fear of being panic for crime, this reminds me of the olden days when our parents will have to display their market items harvested from farm on the road, market or e even in the house without being there while they are attending to other things, but they will arrange stones to signify the price for each items and when the customers arrived, they recognized what each stones signifies and pay money there placing the stones on it, all because there's no crime and people trust themselves and live in peace together in the society.

Imagine a world without crime. A world where nobody is punishable because of any offense, because there are no laws either. A world where all the Citizens are well behaved. No fighting, no stealing, no rape and no embezzlement. Such a world would obviously be a perfect world. But since this kind of world does not exist, there's always a room for crime. But then I cannot clearly state the positive impact of crime in the society. Crime can never have any good effect.  Crime cannot have any positive effect on the society. It is completely wrong idea.  Crime always brings something bad. I understand your point OP and what you’re actually getting at, but don’t you think if that is allowed without a strict penalty publicly issued for criminals, people will use it as a gateway to commit more crimes? Crime should remain unjustifiable no matter what. Crime is bad and very dangerous to the society and if in anyway the law wants to acknowledge crime is some way because of the positive social change it can bring to the society, it will escalate one day and cause more problems in the society. For those that have found a changed them through the crime they’ve committed, it is good for them and for those that won’t change despite how many crimes they commit, they should be penalised continuously for it and serve as remembrance to those wanting to engage in such acts.

I am surprised by your explanation of crime being helpful to society. Crime is anything against the rules and norms of the society.
For a social change, the thinking processes and perspective of the society should be changed, crime will negatively impact the society. As far as the testing of society's tolerance is concerned, it will be tested and reflected by the laws they have and the rule of law.

OP, I don't see any useful impact of crime to the society, crime, social vices are the major problem of the society, the chaotic nature of crime in the society can lead some people to early grave, some people has never recover from the shock they got from crime till this moment, I have done many research about crime I don't see any advantage of crime to the society, do you you know that in most under developed world, there citizen has suffered so much because of crime.

Such mindset should be delisted by you, it is not applicable anywhere, the negative impact of crime to the society is so enormous to the extent that the affected place will start initiating what we call community police that will he in tackling it to an extent.
