I might be called stupid for this. but do you guys have any Idea if the website "bitcoin-wallet.org" is legit? I saw this website on this post([1]quoted below) that necrobump a ten-month-old dead thread. the website sounds extremely familiar yet upon visiting it I have no recollection of ever visiting there or have ever seen the design of that website. even checking on this forum the only reference I found about it in the forum is that the domain is being sold here in 2014([2]). he/she also, advertising his mixing service in that post.

I use wallets https://trustwallet.com and (snip)bitcoin-wallet.org I believe that they are completely anonymous, because no personal data is required during registration. Sometimes I mix bitcoins in a https://wasabiwallet.io

I only found the website referenced once on Reddit and on various trust rating sites with fake reviews.

It's very likely a suspicious web wallet. No source code mentioned, and the user just made the account that day, etc, it's a red flag. I do too not even recalled that site, but the Wasabi wallet link on the quoted post is legit.

I also have read about this wallet in another thread but didn't bother checking it out since there hasn't been a lot of discussion about that wallet. I did see it in other thread but only suggestion from a forum user. Well, I am not really sure if it's legit or not but what I can say is that I won't bother using or checking it out unless many people are using it and the reviews are unbiased.

not really. when I saw the link I immediately thought of bitcoin.org. It's probably because of the similarity with the name that's why I thought the name was extremely familiar.

Yeah, I noticed that post too. I would say it is 99% a scam. It's a brand new account which registered just minutes before making that post, and he shares a link to a wallet that no one has ever heard of, which is closed source, which invites you to enter your seed phrase in to an online website, while also claiming that doing so can create a cold wallet.

It was either designed by someone who does not have the slightest idea about good wallet security or what constitutes a cold wallet, or it is a deliberate scam attempt. I'd say much more likely the latter of the two. Either way, there is no way in hell anybody should ever use it.

There are barely any references to the site out there, and none that are meaningful in any way. I looked over archived versions, and came up with this (in summary):

The parameter is a random value, but who knows what it actually does. Searching the domain also gave me a reference that it is indeed a suspicious site[1]. I look further to the site code, they partially use coinb.in code and adding up some code by themselves.

Just look at the domain name. Do you think any legit service would pick up such cheap domain names with hyphens

I'm surprised with the donation address there, it has balance. Maybe from the seeds and hacks that were generated there? Better not generate any seeds or input any seed phrase there. It's better to just send them your coins if you are going to use that lol. It's not ideal to do any business with that. I hope no one got victimized by this.

I fail to understand why they collect some browser fingerprint (such as width/height) when the website is about bitcoin wallet. Whether it's scam or not, no one should use this website.

Maybe it's for web design purposes? I thought it was for design but after checking the website itself, it's not in any way aesthetic in design but clean.

They seem to be a high level of scammers who write scam articles and thus gain credibility, especially since some of their articles seem very old.
There are plenty of alternatives so unless the wallet is open source and has been reviewed by many trusted users then there is no reason for you to download it.

you may get some money from beginners who trust anonymous articles and first results on Google.

During the inspection, did you find anything suspicious in the code of the https://bitcoin-wallet.org ?

In March 2022, I withdrew a certain amount from Binance to their wallet (34WsWd6otLK49JMKJv74LW9wC1txK6tvG1) (significant for me, at that time about $3,500 at exchange rate).
I saved seed-phrase and keys ONLY to “favorites” of telegram messenger.

Recently I went into my wallet and my assets were not there. On March 18, 2023, scammers took them all out of their wallets. I tracked chain of transactions, they all lead to  MEXC address (33ze68qZoBE9R4uMtRQGNnvgFTYN4sPBUq), where they are accumulated and withdrawn. This address is definitely fraudulent and has already been written about:

The only way to get seed-phrase was to hack my messenger, but that didn't happen. Moreover, if this had happened, the scammers would have withdrawn funds from my Telegram wallet, this would have been obvious.

I have not been extorted.
Also, another hypothetical way is to hack my browser and copy the data from the saved login session into the wallet. As far as I remember, previously it was not necessary to enter the seed phrase every time I went to the wallet website.

So far, out of everything there is, in my opinion, the theft could not have happened without the participation of the wallet.
Maybe I'm wrong.

Pretty much! I can't see this being a legitimate service after reading this whole thread. However, I just wanna say that keeping a highly sensitive information such as seed online isn't a good practice. If you ever decide to get cryptos again, I would recommend a reputable wallet and store your seed offline.

I'm not sure if they're gonna reuse the address but try to see if you can add it on mexc blocklist. But you probably have to get mexc a police report to get them to fully cooperate.

I also wonder if the perps are being careful with the donation address. Unless I missed something, I only see two addresses where utxo's were consolidated:

That's the unfortunate bit, they won't do anything unless if you involve law enforcement and also have a court order.

This isn't all you should look for in a wallet, take note that just because a wallet has the 2fa feature does not mean it is recommended. I also believe that instead of creating a 2fa wallet, you should set up your own multisig wallet for better security, and without needing the services of a third party server, you can set it up in Electrum which is a well reviewed and recommended open source wallet.

While this Website in discussion has proven to be 100% a scam. as you can see all the posts above and comments on the Reddit posts,
But Storing your seed phrase and other sensitive data in Telegram is mere stupidity, what made you think that storing a seed phrase in Telegram is a good thing? now there are two possibilities, that your funds are either stolen by this wallet or stolen by someone else from Telegram, it is not necessary that the hacker withdraw funds directly from telegram wallet, if he stole your seed phrase he can open your wallet from anywhere,
you should really move on now. I don't think sending Bitcoin-wallet.org any msgs would help you. forget them and be careful for next time
