And do you feel this heat really warming the room? Or do you think it won’t be as efficient if the space is a little bigger?
But for where it is now, no there is no way it could do ANYTHING due to the size of the room where it is. Running it in the small back room of my condo it did do A LITTLE bit but you are talking about early spring temps in a 200 square foot (18.5 square meter) room. I can see it in places like that, or where there is a little chill that a hundred watts and change can bump up the temp those couple of degrees to make things more comfortable. Personally, I put my Nano 3 on the desk from time to time, pointed at my hands that might get a little chilly in autumn / winter. It's a nice warm breeze, but even at 125W it will mathematically just never significantly change an entire room's average temperature. Now on to replying to some more recent stuff.. sorry for jumping over more than 10 pages. FYI the fan clips onto the PSU to help cool it. Thing is - the fan needs a USB-A power source to run it...
Yeah, I was very surprised when I opened my package. I had heard about some 'early bird thank you gift', but didn't know what to expect. This is just funny: a keychain to mess up your opsec and a fan that needs USB-A which is nowhere on either the PSU or the miner.. For what it's worth, I don't think the power supply really needs active cooling.

Here’s a tip for those who want the fans to operate at full speed and aren’t concerned about voiding the warranty: you can open the unit and carefully cut the yellow wire connecting the fans to the control board. This modification will force the fans to run at maximum speed, which is great for optimal cooling. Be aware, though, that this change is not easily reversible. It will make the unit significantly noisier, so it’s best suited for situations where you’re not using it for heating and can place it somewhere out of the way. Proceed with caution!

honestly no one having issue with unable to log back to webgui??
I had an issue logging in via the web gui after my unit was hacked. If you wanna reset your miner to default settings & password, then open the Avalon remote app and remote the miner. Disconnect the miner. Then power it back on and press the FUNC function key (before the indicator flashes red), for five seconds until the white light flashes to indicate success. Then press RESET or disconnect the power to restart. Then add back all of the network credentials via the app, then connect to the web gui. You might need to a couple of factory resets for the login credentials to revert back too root/root I bought a couple of these to dip my toe into bitcoin and to replace the space heater running in my basement. I'm having a lot of trouble with one of them...I believe I reset the password for it using the phone interface with a password beyond the character limit and it got corrupted. I'm trying to hard reset the device using the instruction quoted above and it doesn't seem to be responding properly. Holding down the top button when I plug in the cord it power cycles until I release the button. If I just hold it in for 5 seconds it boots normally. In an hour of trying various combinations I got it to forget the wifi info once but it still had the bad password.

A little help with the Nano 3 please.
All hooked up and connected to my Wifi
Setup my pool etc
Display keeps showing the Please Check Internet symbol, but all is good with my system and the Nano 3 appears on my network, etc.
I cannot get it to mine on any pool.
Mining Status is Fine / Green circle but Network status is 0 ms and red circle, says no active pool or workers.
I can control the miner from the GUI and a IOS app so it is clearly connected.
Any ideas?
I had the same problem with Starlink. A quck fix is to run through a VPN How does that work? I have the same problem Network status is on 0ms. Can access the miner through the GUI and app. Also no active pool or workers. Did anyone ever figure this out? Same issues. My bitaxe miners connect fine. I just keep getting the no WiFi icon even though I can connect locally. Could it be pool info? My syntax entering pool information? Any help would be great. Pulled the trigger on four of these and starting to get a bad feeling about it.

Is the bitaxe also wifi? If not then check your router to see if it blocks mining. Seems that several do by default, if that's the case you need to tell the router to allow it to work.

You have to have the port "3333" in there or it's not gonna mine. I put it in there on the app but it deleted it. I had to go in and add that. All is good now. So if you stuck with no network icons check how you entered the pool addresses.

I'm considering one (or two). It usually gets down to -20F where I am and I need a way to heat a garage (2x S19k Pros isn't enough). At 140W and as low as $130 USD, seems like a good idea. Except that I am concerned about it's 'openness'. Looks like I'm getting a very locked down device. A literal "black box" in this case.
Is this the experience from most people? Does it lack a web UI, is it app controlled only? Does it phone home?

There is a web interface. That's what I mostly use unless I just want to make a quick change...I had to use it to put the pool addresses in correctly due to the app removing my port numbers...but I have limited experince since I just got it going. Mine are in a server room that requires a least a jacket to go into and they seem to hash a little faster than the numbers I've seen here just on medium. Not sure I want to go to high mode but I might. I'll probably break them down tomorrow and shoot a thermal gun on them and see where they need some help and put some heatsinks on them. Then I may crank it up. Good luck

These are desktop heaters, good for warming your hands if your office is cold. They won't put out anywhere near enough to heat a -20 garage, especially if 2xS19k Pros aren't enough. Think of the wattage in relation to a traditional electric heater - they may be 1500w, so a 140w device isn't going to get close to the same amount of heat. They do have both a web interface and the mobile app to use. AFAIK it only communicates with whatever mining pool you configure, but you can access the logs to see what it does.
