This dusting attack is very troubling for both new and old crypto users because by neglecting to send the token dusting attack can take over the wallet and damage the assets in it including being able to send to another address by remote control. I haven't found a dusting attact for bitcoin because most of them are like altcoins that are unique or worth thousands / millions of $. You are still safe if you don't tokenize it, but if you have a fee you can create a new wallet and move it.

My principle is not how much assets you have but a sense of order and countermeasures from crime is the main thing. Indeed, I used to be like that and lazy to change my wallet but if it has become a habit of anticipation is an easy thing so you will know what to do with your assets. Don't panic.

You are free to choose the wallet you want because bitcoin support wallet with the one you are used to using in your app store, including electrum.

The deposit was made on Monday, and I check it this morning, it was still 3 dollar worth of Bitcoin, and the transaction history their is no indications of a new transaction.

Sorry it wasn't clear to me but did you mean there is no trace of the new supposed 3 dollars in your transactions? You could also check this on any block explorer e.g. mempool.space

Because perhaps there is a new feature and trustwallet was merely marking how much of your balance was a dust amount and in this case all of them, hence:

*Available balance: three dollars btc, and the second is,
* dust: three dollars btc.

So for instance if I have 100 bucks and out of this balance, the 3 bucks is considered dust by my wallet, it will be like:

Available balance: 100$
Dust: 3$

It doesn't mean I now have 103 bucks but rather telling: among the 100 bucks worth of bitcoins, there is 3 bucks worth of dust.

I want to thank everyone that have shown concern about this whole situation, and I also want to inform everyone that the situation has been resolved.

What I did was that I contacted the trust wallet customer support, after explaining everything to them, they said it is a dust error am seeing in the wallet, and it's from the Blockchain network due to sending small amount of Bitcoin with a higher transaction fee, but as of now, my total balance is now 3 dollar worth of btc, unlike before that it was 6 dollars in total, am really grateful for all your concern, I really do appreciate 🙏🙏🙏

Good evening everyone, I believe that anyone that ask questions can't miss his or her way, that's why I brought this here if anyone can help me out of this.

This afternoon I check my trust wallet which I was having three dollars worth of Bitcoin in it, as it opens, I discovered that it's no longer 3 dollar worth of Bitcoin, but 6 dollars worth of Bitcoin, I was surprised because I knew I never did any transactions, so I click on the Bitcoin to check my transaction history to check how come about the extra 3 dollar worth of Bitcoin, I discovered that the total of 6 dollars was divided into two, the first one is;
 *Available balance: three dollars btc, and the second is,
* dust: three dollars btc.

I have heard about dust attack before, and how it being use to track what  goes in and out of that wallet, but I don't know what I really should do next about it?

Please I need your help, please.

The most important thing is that your still at the safest side if it, since you have not click dust, take to your money and change your wallet allot of Link is already on ground for this purpose I don't want to repeat those links. That is why one must always be care on anything that requires privacy, mostly one income.

I want to ask you how long ago you made your wallet? If you have created a wallet long ago and done something with that wallet address, it can give you some amount of bitcoins. Also as per my knowledge now no dollar will be given to you as security when new wallet is created. I am very skeptical about your point, you can better address it here.

Your available balance which is $3 is the only Bitcoin you have. Just forget the extra $3 because you can't withdraw or use it.

Keep checking your wallet because is some other days that dust $3 can't be found. Though I have not encountered such an issue but of course, we will wonder why it increases knowing that we don't do anything or buying/deposit transactions. If not a bug, it is a scam but to be safe, don't make a deal with someone who claims about it instead, have it verified with the Trust Wallet support.

Seems like a joke post from you, OP. You need to understand that Dust attack is when someone sends you some shitcoins or USDT and try to replicate your withdrawal addresses which is also known as address poisoning. Also, you do not have to worry about $3 I guess. And best for you, move your funds to an exchange. The chances of you messing up by being your own bank is way more than getting scammed by an Exchange.

The 3 dollars of dust you get is just an inducement for you to sell it, I am also a tustwallet user and I have received a lot of dust tokens. If you don't participate in the airdrop event or whatever then stay away from the token, don't try to sell it. The dust token sent will be a trap that will result in the wallet being hit by a drained wallet attack which allows hackers to send all your assets easily using bots. Be more careful, and if you fall into this trap, don't use the wallet, throw it away and make a new one.

You're using a close source wallet so am not surprised it's very easy for hackers to penetrate using a dust attack. This could be intended to steal your wallet informations and  to monitor your future transactions to know how much worth of coins comes in and out of that wallet. My advise for you to abandon that wallet take out your $3 worth of BTC and create either a blue wallet or electrum wallet for your use and keep your private keys secretly safe. You can read for more ideas on how to rectify your challenge  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5179552.msg52290743#msg52290743

Being closed source has nothing to do with it. People can send dust to any address regardless of which wallet the owner is using. It is a rather harmless attack if you leave the dust alone. Unfortunately, Trust Wallet doesn't have coin control so the user will have to import their backup phrase into a wallet like Electrum if they wanted to move the $3 without the dust UTXOs getting added to their payment.

The question is when did you buy your bitcoin I guess it might increase due to market volatility, ideally you can scan the address number of BTC into the mempool or blockchair so you can check it out like the others say it a dust, there's a lot of happen airdrops like in the Solana there's a lot of coins dropping by to your wallet and then pretend to have a value, ideally is to don't touch anything if you receive some of this, this is an attack could drain all your funds, but with 3 dollars i guess they cant even get this because of the minimum requirement of the withdrawals.

You could have just posted your bitcoin address so that others could verify the address and give you a better response.
Instead of speculating how could you have seen $6 you should just post the Btc address instead.

I think he is saying the wallet is open source because it's an error from the developer and if it was open source, it will be easier for other develop to detect the bug and release a latest update of Trust wallet and patch up the bug, you can see that the OP has said that he reach out to Trust wallet support and he was told that the double transaction was a bug, it wasn't a dust TX as he indicated from beginning.

The next way to avoid this reoccurrence type of problem is to make sure that your wallet is open source so that when this happens, you will get I tail quickly from other people that used similar type of wallet and then you can also download the latest update. Since OP is using Bitcoin for transaction, I recommend wallet like Electrum wallet, there is an pc version and mobile version and he can check Blue wallet as well.
