I guess it depends on what rate your are gaining profits. If you are growing the pot slowly, it's harder to leave, but if you get one jackpot, it's way easier. You can see this all the time in altcoin investors. They are waiting to profit more so they can't leave even if they have slowly gained 10000% profits at the peak of a bull run, they still have fomo, and would feel stupid for missing out more profits.

Well I quite agree with the analogy you gave here, chasing losses is like you are chasing an invisible wind, in the sense that victory is always unpredictable when it comes which makes them most likely even experience an increase in the amount of loss. They really needs to have gambling managements so they don't chasing the wins or recover the lose because that can makes them lose more money.
