This just released with a date of 3/28/2014

https://vip.btcchina.com/page/notice20140328

Looks like alternative options for funding available and different user accounts for mainland china and international bank acccount holders.

Which user account type should I select?

If you have a bank account opened in Mainland China, please select Mainland China account. Otherwise, please select International account.

Please note: Once this is set, it cannot be changed.

What is the difference between the two account types?

Mainland China account can:

Fund through: 1. Yi Jin Dong 2. Bank Transfer 3. BTCC Voucher

Withdraw to: 1. BTCC Voucher 2. Bank Account

International account can:

Fund through: 1. BTCC Voucher

Withdraw to: 1. BTCC Voucher

Note: For CNY fund/withdraw assistance, please email us at voucher@btcchina.com.

Are the BTCC Voucher for the two account types the same?

No. The BTCC Voucher withdrew to Mainland account users cannot be funded into International account users, and vice versa.

I'm not sure what this means exactly, but it looks like a response to the PBOC issue... someone correct me if I'm wrong.

At the very least.. it CLEARLY says

Mainland China account can:

Fund through: 1. Yi Jin Dong 2. Bank Transfer 3. BTCC Voucher

Withdraw to: 1. BTCC Voucher 2. Bank Account

THIS SEEMS TO VERIFY THAT BANK ACCESS WILL CONTINUE TO BE AVAILABLE FOR MAINLAND CHINA ACCOUNTS!

Could this also be a way of culling their client base into two groups, which would be a necessary first step in dealing with the ban if it is real?

Nice of you to give us advance notice. Is your savant friend skilled in remote viewing, by any chance?

This is actually good news.
Finally they found a way of stopping renminbi leaving the country and dollars goes into the country.
Everybody wins.
BTC can continue to set higher records.

I just noticed that neither account type lists the option to withdraw BTC. Not allowing BTC withdrawals would satisfy the government's concern about capital flight, but would make it totally useless for buying BTC. Could they really be planning to disable BTC withdrawals as part of their business plan adjustment?
