Definitely, you should not choose between them, and consider them both. Ether  and NEO are good. A bit different in technology. Just the number of airdrops on ETH is several times greater than on NEO, but it's a matter of time and NEO will soon gain momentum.

Neo disrupted eth smart contracts and made very simple if u compare with eth smart contracts with neo smart contracts both the similarities but neo is much easier than neo

If we talk about airdrops there are more good airdrops who make payments on NEO as I see - too much scam on ethereum. Also I think NEO can do better, and maybe if it will be upgraded soon there will be more projects on neo and this platform can become more popular
