First of all, getting 10x on single try/bet is risky and I myself is not that type of gambler.
I have to say that I will prefer to use my remaining balance to hunt 100x or more but I can bet 10% of my remaining balance.
Simple example: I started with $100 and I'm down to $10, in this case I wont use my last $10 for single bet but I'll use it to make at least 10 bets ($1 each).
The game(s) that I may use to recover my lost with that 10 bets can be:

I'll go with slots, actually I have done it before, down $1000 dollars, one like big shot for me, I have $100 dollar left on my bankroll. And so I did $10 spin, I didn't get into the bonus round, but I was able to hit 3 wildcard reels and it give me also $2000. But I did continue to gamble, left myself with $1500 and something inside of me telling to continue, however, I got into my senses and decided to went home at least with still a win in my pocket. Although for sure you know what happen next, I gamble it all everything in the next couple of days and lost everything.  . Why slots? just like that, it's a risk, but if luck comes into your side that time, then you can recover and hit some.

I think the best resort at that time is to quit for the day and probably come back another and hope to be lucky because if you are to move by that same mind to want to recover, you may be chasing losses and may end up not been able to recover as intended, when once you begin to chase losses it's very paramount that you will most definitely begin to gamble irrationally.

I would choose betting and a multi-bet from outcomes that seemed reliable to me.
Purely mathematically, a multi-bet probably has an even worse return percentage than playing slots or another most unprofitable game in a casino, but subjectively, the ability to choose the outcomes yourself creates the illusion that something depends on you. I think it's hard to get 10x in one game. I prefer to double my remaining balance in house edge games, I usually choose crash or plinko to double it. For live casino game I would choose blackjack. If we are lucky, sometimes we can recover all losses from the last remaining 10% of our balance. But this was a reckless act of desperation. Slots game can be only solution for big winning. but there your losing possibility will higher. gambling will not guarantee you profit in any ways or any situation. so everytime i suggest same thing that you shouldn’t use gambling for earning purpose if you do it then it will attract you too much and a lot of greed will work in you so you will become emotional. but if you use gambling as fun purpose then you can use any type of game then it will doesn’t matter how risked that game are

I agree with you on that,  because if he is already down by 90% it then means that he has gone all and lost for the day and the best thing to do is to take a break,  but then we have some gamblers who already have the mindset of existing they entire balance so for sure they will want to stake the last cent in the account,  and for sure we have this mindset that there will be a better chances if they risk more into the bet they could have one final chances of hitting the biggest win of their life.

Some time,  the gambler get lucky to win the bet and make a good turn over and other time he will still lose the last remaining balance and go home with zero balance.
