 This is really a food for thought. Having a full thought on this, I will say 5.00 CGPA why? Cause one can get to improve more on their skills and acquire more skill set. That is one can work in any industry and acquire more pay.
But with 5 BTC one will just have just a fixed number, what i mean is, any time btc goes up or down that's the whole amount you  have but with a 5.00 in a good field you can tend to grow what you earn.
 However, I still think this is not something that is debate-able for those in my country, especially in this trying times where we are seeing a hike in inflation and economy crisis. I’m sure majority will go for the 5 btc without hesitation the economy has guard up our survival instincts to a whole different level. The system has made us to believe that you have to go through the educational process to get a good life and be responsible. Good thing we have a lot of prominent people who do not have a degree to determine their wealth, we now have a lot of young people who are ready to give  up going to university or college, if they have a paying idea or skill or what ever that makes them income.
 Although, this does not dispute the fact that education is ìmportant, we should give credit to the smart and intelligent ones because, their time and effort of being the best should be rewarded accordingly. Well, which would you rather go for if you had the chance,  would you rather chase a degree, get good grades to work in an industry or quit school and accept 5 BCT, what's your opinion?

The question here is: Is everyone interested in those grades? There are people who are obsessed with academics and want a good grade because they believe that with such a grade they can achieve whatever they want in life. That works for most of them. 
 
There are also people who are focused only on learning how to read, and chasing those degrees is not that important to them; they are more focused on developing themselves with skills that can be beneficial to them. They believe in practicality rather than going for those grades, which they don't see as necessary. We are all out here for different dreams that land on almost the same goal.
 
So if you are to ask someone who only needs to build up their life, develop a skill, and chase their career, they will choose the 5 BTC because it will help them achieve anything they need very quickly. It's a lot of money to set someone up. 
 
Whichever way, one thing you need to know is this: getting a 5 CGPA as a grade does not guarantee you success; no company is looking to employ a certificate; rather, they are focused on who can bring in productivity and help them achieve their aim. You can have those grades but still lack the skills needed to fit in on today's labour market.

It depends. If I get 5 CGPA from a very well reputed university then it means I am really good at what I do.
I would get a good job at one of the FAANG companies and in a matter of few years I will be able to accumulate 5 BTC.
So having a high IQ would be my preference to secure both 5 CGPA as well as 5 BTC.

This has to be determined by the current situation at the time the option is presented. When bitcoin was first introduced several years ago, many people, including myself, would prefer to go to school, earn a good grade, and work in a reputable industry. Today, as it stands, and given how bitcoin has evolved over the years, I will not hesitate to go with the 5BTC despite its volatility because even after school, a good work is not guaranteed for you. As you mentioned, it may still depend on where you are from and the value of 5BTC when converted to your fiat currency. I know a lot of people today who graduated with good grades but had to settle for menial jobs because of bad economy of the country they live in. One does not need to even to go to universities just to acquire a skill set. Experience is your biggest teacher. I know lots of people who did not even graduate but are now very successful. Meanwhile, I do know people who had amazing grades but are working with only an average salary.

Your cgpa is the fixed number. Grades are only important when you are first applying to jobs however a few years after you graduate companies or employers do not look at your educational attainment as much anymore because they would rather see your experience in the field.

I am absolutely convinced that everything depends on the individual. For some, studying is simply necessary, because they will never be able to develop in their lives in any other way, other people succeed no matter what they do, and they are quite successful people who do not need studying. All people are different and an individual approach is needed here. There are many examples of successful people who have not graduated from any educational institution after school, but nevertheless they are professionals in their field of activity and earn a lot of money. @OP you are probably hunting for a job in your disposition.  I would rather have the 5 BTC and work on my entrepreneurial skills to set up a business and be successful in it.  It does look good with a 5.0 CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) but it will probably take you a long time to accumulate 5.0 BTC worth of cash (at least in my place) if you are only starting to look for a job.  While choosing 5.0 BTC instantly gives you around a little more than $250k at the current exchange rate.  This will enable a person to have funds or capital to set up a business.  In my place, this will settle me with houses, and cars, and still have a deep pocket for a business.  Having 5 BTC will allow me to live a comfortable life even if I don't work for a lifetime.

If someone quits school to take 5 bitcoin, but they can still earn enough in a job to get by, and wait a few years until bitcoin is up at like $200k and then start using a little bit of bitcoin each year to supplement their income to live a nicer higher cost-of-living life (say 0.1 BTC or less for 50+ years, with the economic quality of life of that person continuing to rise over the long term as the value of Bitcoin rises), that could be worth it. As long as what they were quitting on wasn't like their passion in life. Never give up your passion to take a lump sum of money. Life is about a lot more than having money.


In general though, earning potential beats assets, because earning potential earns you money to buy assets with. And 5 bitcoin isn't YET so much money that its a fortune. Since Bitcoin is a currency and not a "productive asset" you have to use it to access any economic value from it. For productive assets of course once the annual payout reaches your income that asset is far superior. But with Bitcoin the calculation would have to be "over the course of your life will it produce more economic value as you spend it than having a career would".

What`s preventing me from achieving both of them?

This topic has surfaced over the internet countless times, and yet there is no distinctive answer to it. For me, I will try to aim for both of them, and I will do it one at a time. According to your question, there`s no restriction against going for the other one after achieving one of them.

I`ll first go for the 5BTC, and from there, I can fund my academics and aim for a 5.0CGPA in a course that won`t be difficult or require 15+ hours of study daily. So it won`t matter if I go for medicine and surgery or if I go for fishery as long as I get my 5.0 CGPA, that's all that will matter.

I guess you mean 1BTC is equal to $50k+ and not 5BTC worth $50k+. Currently, 5 BTC should be around $254k+, which is a big amount of money that, if put to good use, can set one up above whatever white collar job you will be using that grade for. 
 
Like I said above, which also ties in with your point, the grade is just a number if the person can't defend it. You need to be equipped upstairs in order to achieve those high-paying jobs. No company wants to hire someone who can't help them skillfully. Those certificates are evidence of what you should be capable of, but if you're not equipped with the brain, then it's useless.

In a working society, attaining a CGPA of 5.00 is priceless. Such a person will be an instant target for many top organisations that are willing to offer automatic lucrative employment. In some higher institutions, such a graduate is given a job to lecture in the university. When one has a good or high-paying job, accumulating Bitcoin can be easier. Companies don't care about first-class degrees in most developing countries because such grades can now be bought by money to undeserving students. But you cannot say that a first-class graduate from Yale, MIT or Havard will not attract some of the high-paying employers. Most of these top universities combine both theory and practical learning and they keep upgrading their curriculum to suit the current global tasks.

Based on the condition I find myself in my country, I would prefer to own Bitcoin because good grades don't matter in my location. I would rather go for the education rather than the 5 BTC but you posed your question in a strange fashion... It sounded like you were saying what would you rather get (as in instantly) good grades or Bitcoin. Because if thats the case, I would prefer the 5 BTC over the free good grades. In fact, I do not care about the grades, nor the piece of paper that says I have a qualification for so and so. Without the knowledge and skills it would be worthless anyway. You could have a non-perfect score and it would still be worth the time you put into studying. Nobody needs a perfect grade.

It depends on your field of study. Having a 5.0 cgpa in non professional course cannot automatically open doors of opportunity to you. Like I said before, companies look at other things aside from grades when recruiting people. You chose to use MIT, Harvard, Yale as your base of argument, these schools have a reputation and even if you graduate will a average grade, you would still be able to get a good job.

There are too many factors in the middle of the two choices.  And many of the factors are heavily dependent on each and every one of us.  It is mostly all about risk taking and choices.

Some body may consider risking their entire future by using all their Assets to buy Bitcoin and hoping this will bring more Wealth than any form of education or job would.  This is not good nor is it bad.  After all it is our responsibility to pick what we want.

None of it is guaranteed however.  Is there an actual guarantee that a better form of education will bring you a much better living standard?  It may, but how long will it take you to recover all the 'loss' which is money spent on education.  What would happen if you do not invest in education but purchase Bitcoin now instead and wait for a few years?  Maybe it is better if you do this.

On the other hand.  It is possible that you finish a reputable form of education and you get a salary well above average.  That is the perfect scenario however.  The one where you have a salary so big you probably would not even care that much whether Bitcoin doubles or not any more.  That is very rare though and you have to be realistic.  From all I wrote above, only Bitcoin has shown a real cycle of previous record breaking Investment returns.  Every body who purchased Bitcoin and held are now more Wealthy.  Not every body who finished a good degree is now a millionaire.

Then there are people who do not even get to finish a degree because they already found a way out of the regular Joe life.  They do not own Bitcoin nor do they have a degree yet they make a ton of money and some of them are even younger than me or you.

After all.  In the middle of this all there could be fate too.  My point is that nothing is guaranteed.  You could purchase Bitcoin and something inevitable and very rough happens within the next year to Bitcoin.  Who the hell knows.  Some random guy invents the unthinkable and gets to compromise the security of Bitcoin.  There goes your investment.

Or you could get a degree and by the time you get a well paid job Bitcoin is over a million Dollars already.  Who knows!

Hmmm, yeah, I'll take the 5 BTC. I'd say it opens up a lot more opportunities compared to that 5.00 CGPA and can give access to more knowledge of whatever you need in comparison to what the school that gave you that CGPA does, though I guess it depends on what school. Might be the same though idk I never studied in a big uni except for CS50, which was a great course btw.

Anyway back on topic, even if you got the top grades at your school, you'd still need some luck to be able to even get a good entry-level job. And yes, you're a top student, but that doesn't exempt you from being only a choice among countless of choices. In a saner clime, people will most definitely go for education and they CGPA option but the world has left saner climes and its pursuing after success, so, if we deploy the current strategy and understanding of modern day society, we will say that the 5 Bitcoin is the better option, why, it can afford to send you to school anyways, it doesn't matter what degree you graduate with.

This brought me back to the primary school where they asked us to write an essay on "which one is better: knowledge or wealth". I always found it absurd that you had to choose between the two, why not both? But I have a few friends who previously had very good academic records and they are getting jobs with high incomes thanks to their high level of education. Ahh a perfect college grade score is nice, but it needs to be in a good field from a good college. Also it needs to be a masters much more so than a BA or BS degree. Finally you really need to have earned it.  Which means you are smart and dedicated to your school and soon to be job.

This issue of inflation and economic crisis is not only applicable to your country but almost all over the world. To begin with, I don't know why people like to compare things that are not related in anyway. This type of question is a thought provoking one and as good as asking someone to choose between knowledge and wealth. Yes, of course majority will go for the 5 BTC because the potential of BTC is much more than that of 5 CGPA. CGPA can actually lead you to some juicy opportunities like scholarship and job offers which in the long run could lead to financial freedom. However, I did some rough calculations now and I discovered that even when you are working in the highest paying company in the country with your 5 CGPA, your total income for the whole of your service year which is 35 years, is not up to the price of 5 BTC with the current price of $51,000. I know many of my friends who were good students and they have a better result than mine. They spend half of their life searching for a government job and only a few of them were successful. The chances of you getting a god paying job even with your perfect CGPA is still slim in some countries where connection is more valid for getting jobs than just the degree and certificate you have. GPA is not important, even graduating from university is not that important anymore. Many people don't even work in the field they graduated from. I don't completely deny what you two said, but if you think that you don't need a degree and can easily succeed in life, it's not as simple as you say . Just like many people always give examples of Elon or Bill Gate, they are billionaires who have not graduated from college . But I want to ask how many people in the world are like them and can do what they do? Meanwhile, if you have knowledge and a degree, you will easily find a job and save capital to prepare for a future career more easily than those who do not have a degree and have to do manual labor.

Furthermore, if you are not good enough, how can you achieve an advanced degree? People with a high level of education are not guaranteed to be successful, but they will certainly be better than those with nothing and have more opportunities .

This is really a food for thought. Having a full thought on this, I will say 5.00 CGPA why? Cause one can get to improve more on their skills and acquire more skill set. That is one can work in any industry and acquire more pay.
But with 5 BTC one will just have just a fixed number, what i mean is, any time btc goes up or down that's the whole amount you  have but with a 5.00 in a good field you can tend to grow what you earn.
 However, I still think this is not something that is debate-able for those in my country, especially in this trying times where we are seeing a hike in inflation and economy crisis. The system has made us to believe that you have to go through the educational process to get a good life and be responsible. The quotes A students work for C students is just a way to get traffic for content creators, in the current generation, grades is way more easier to get since every university is trying to make their university looks good for other people. How can people not interested to join an university that gives promise will give high grades without any pressure? they don't care with the knowledge, the student only care with the certificate that they will use to get a job.

Well  said mate, the greed doesn't guarantee you success and I think most of the successful people today didn't actually glamour when it comes to their grades in school and moreover the world today is filled with fucked up system that people are actually tied to, if am asked this particular question, I think the BTC would definitely be the easier choose to take because even with all the recession and hard economy five BTC guarantees you the comfort and I think the reason for people actually getting those grades is to eventually still work and earn same money so me having a lower grade with 5btc is still a win win situation 🤗🤗.

Definitely skills matter a lot. But I would say 5 BTC is also not a bad deal. You need to understand that Bitcoins are very rare also. Hence a time will come when the demand to accumulate the coin will be high, but the supply will be limited. I would be satisfied with either one to be honest. I don’t mind having the skills with which I can make money by using it. I won’t mind the 5 BTC offer also, as very soon Bitcoins are going to be reaching 100k usd.

Well, it's a good thing you have a good business understanding and capable of making double profits that would make you a millionaire in 5 years time like you said, but I've read everyone's reply and I've seen that the choice depends on the invidual, and the society they find themselves in. Everyone have their different opinions about the topic and while some would rather take the 5BTC and establish themselves with it, there are others that would prefer studying hard to get good grades and secure a good paying job or learn and improve their skills with the level of education they've attained and still make same 5BTC, in a long or short interval.
  Like I said earlier it all depends on the individual, there's a tendency that one could get the 5BTC and not utilize the money properly, they may lavish it on luxury lifestyle or lack business ideas like you do to double the 5BTC. Also there's a possibility that one could get could grades after school and lack the opportunity to secure a good paying job, vise versa.

As a student having a grade of 5.0 CGPA, is simply means a first class student and it merit by hard studies. It only takes extra miles to archive the grade among the other students, while 5 BTC is a place of business that highly value. I think 5 btc is an opportunity that you may not found again but as for education it is something that can be obtain at anytime.  This not even time to rush into school because education is now expensive . Depending on the rule of the game, if not one can still risk school go for the 5btc and when you have meet up all the requirements to get those 5btc you can always go back to school study and get those good grade you deserve as the fund from the BTC can really go a long way in serving you in your educational career. 5 BTC does not also give anyone success, if a career path is the discussion then obviously, the 5.00CGPA outweighs the 5 BTC but people do not live on a career path alone.  A ranked student or even a dropout can outperform the one with a 5.00 CGPA if the point of discussion is about skill application and the person with the money is the one who has the say over things especially if he owns the company, it does not matter if he is a 5.0 CGPA or a drop-out person.

So if you don’t graduate from a higher institution with a 5.00 CGPA, you can’t acquire skills? Lots of people went to higher institutions and graduated with a lower grade, but they are performing well. There are people who graduated with a higher grade, but they haven’t been able to secure a good job. If I am to select between receiving 5 Btc and graduating with 5.00 CGPA, then I will receive the 5 Btc, I don’t need to graduate with that CGPA, there is nothing bad about graduating with a lower CGPA.

I don’t know the country which you are from, but do you know what you can acquire with 5 bitcoins in my country? You will be living like a king if you have that amount of bitcoin, and if I have 5 bitcoins, I can easily convert 1 bitcoin to my local currency and look for a good business to establish with it. The remaining 4 bitcoins will be left in my wallet.
 
If you graduate with a CGPA of 5.00, there is no assurance that you will be able to accumulate the amount that 5 bitcoins currently worth. If you get a good job and you are growing your earnings, don’t forget that bitcoin also keeps on increasing in price, so your earnings are also increasing.

For me considering the current Price of 5btc and with Bitcoin recent performance I will rather prefer to quite school and accept the 5btc to chasing a degree, get good grades to work In an industry. Considering how bad the economy is having a good grades in sch doesn't guarantee getting a good Paid job. there are a lot of first class product or even more educational qualifed person without a good job, so for me I choose 5btc over Good grades and working in a good Paid job. Why with my 5btc can be able to have different kinds of investment.
