Greed when it comes to gambling is what attract losses a lot even when you are lucky, greed will make you lose it all because you will not be satisfied with your win and you will continue playing and get bankrupt.

Greed will not allow you to know when to stop the game because it is either you are chasing your loss or you are not satisfied with your win, such people becomes money making machines for the casino because they have allowed greed to take over them.

So it is important to control it, greed comes from your emotions, which will make you constantly want more than what you have won.

But I don't agree that chasing losses is greed, it's a different context in my opinion, it shows more that people are in addiction, or he wants to get money back because he used money that he couldn't lose in gambling, so he is chasing money that has been lost.

Gambling can be fun and also become a serious problem if not done appropriately. Alot of gambler get themselves into problem because they gamble anyhow and anytime. There are some times you should take a break in gambling so that you won't become an addict or give yourself problem. Time you shouldn't gamble includes:

Some people gamble the most when they are in need of urgent money. They use the little in their account to gamble believe they can double the money in no time through gambling to do what they want to do. This most times go wrong making them to lose the little they should have save for that purpose

That’s the big mistake some peoples are talking when coming to gamble if not how can someone using his last card from his account and use it for to gamble just because is in needed of money urgently. Apart from emotions, I think the most influencing factor for a gambler to apply greed in their gambling session is because of the increase in confidence and hope in their mind which usually happens in a winning situation, the mistake is that they are too ambitious in responding to the victory so that it triggers an increase in dopamine levels in the brain and makes them take much more aggressive or risky actions without any hesitation at all.

Another thing, of course, I think I will also agree with you that chasing losses is not an action based on greed, it is more directed at the inability to accept the fact of previous defeats where most likely as you said that they gamble by betting an amount of money that they cannot afford to be responsible for.
We must understand that greed and chasing losses are two different things, but the impact is almost the same, namely it can lead someone to a situation of significant regret and lead them to a situation of losing a larger amount.

Honestly, it is very important for us to know when we are not expected to gamble, because there could be some vital reasons in which may back this up and everything will still point in our own favour at the end, we have to know more about the way we are expected to gamble as well as when we should not gamble for some specific reasons, a good example is at work place, inasmuch as we know the right thing and still go after doing same, we are gong to have no issue concerning the pattern of of lifestyle in gambling.

There are about three times that I can never advice anybody to gamble.We are aware that gambling normally has a way of getting into our emotions whether you like it or not, Gambling must be taking with caution,and it must be followed carefully,else,it has the ability to wreck your life.
Therefore, because of all these,I have known the best time to gamble,and the worst time to gamble.The worst time to gamble are:
1-it isn't good to gamble when you are angry.
2-Its isn't good to gamble when your mind is on another thing.
3-If isn't good to gamble with pressure.
This and many more are the times I know it isn't good to gamble.

I agree with that, indeed the chances of losing are greater than the chances of winning. So what is certain is that as often as gambling is done, losing money will happen more often than making money. Gambling only once may not be a serious problem, but when gambling is done more than once that's where the problem begins, especially gambling with the aim of recovering losses because the previous gambling ended in defeat. 

That is what people still don't understand there is no way you could have more numbers of winning than losing but they just choose to ignore the losses and give themselves more hope that are going to win, and if it is about gambling there is not certain, you will only get to smile once in a while from gambling, and if it about the aim of recovering the money you have lost then the person should get ready to lose more money, how is that possible getting back what you have lost its just as if you want to pack water that is already on the floor its impossible and if you lose money its your choice to adjust or not.

When gambling is out of control, it's best to stop gambling, because if it continues, it can make us lose self-control which allows us to do anything, even using money that shouldn't be used for gambling can happen as you said by using the savings you have. This must be avoided as best as possible. Remembering that gambling is not just about winning and losing, but the role of our self-control also determines everything including our own thoughts.
Avoid gambling when gambling is out of control because this is where the problem begins and with the many cases that occur, I think it is caused by such incidents.

They won't want to stop or even listen to you we keep having the same problem with those who are addicted because they have refused to listen to those giving them advice if gambling is not in your favor you should just quit but they won't even listen they will continue to gamble until they get tired of the whole thing, very simple have self-control you must not gamble every day that energy of gambling every day should be channel into doing another thing,  the moment you can control your self everything is then settled because you won't push your self to gambling, it shows how important gambling is.
