Satoshi Nakamoto talked about the importance of decentralized mining in his whitepaper. We want to create a blockchain that anyone can do mining easily without any entry barriers.

• CPU mining only:
  • YespowerShuga (based on Yespower 1.0.1) is only for Shugacoin, not compatible with other Yespower coins.
  • The minimum difficulty (powlimit) is set low enough for two reasons. The first is to handle fast block time; The second is to allow mining on slow CPUs.
• Mining efficiency:
  • According to the test results, the most efficient is using 8 threads on a single CPU.
  • YespowerShuga is more suitable for older CPUs, because it is essentially a multi-threading resistor. Suitable for smartphones and raspberrypi.
• NO GPU: GPU mining is not possible.
• NO ASIC: ASIC mining is not possible.

Native segwit (Bech32) address built-in by default: Starting with shuga1q...

I don't think smartphones nor RasPi units are capable. What kind of hashrate can an RasPi make with Yespower?
I suggest you rent, if you can't mine. (I will try with my old RasPi3)

BEWARE: Was mining this coin, Used web wallet to get started quickly.  Had 17,000 coins.  Woke up this morning and I now have 0 coins in web wallet.  I know...using web wallet was my first mistake.

Thanks for the info.  As an update... They must be having computer issues.  The coins are slowly coming back one transaction at a time.  I am back up to 10k.  I am going to transfer out of the web wallet as soon as they are all back.

There does seem to be a problem. Using web wallet also and mining, two deposits  7.6 coin and 180.5 coin, but balance only shows as 180.5, it should be 188.1 or so:

No point in mining more if the total wallet balance is not accurate.

Another interesting point SUGAR difficulty is .00083 and SHUGA is .00099 so it's actually more difficult to mine than SUGAR coin is, plus so far seems to have no exchanges it trades on at all. It then makes more sense to mine SUGAR as it's easier and also trades in several places. I see as well, the only wallets are 64 bit windows or linux, nothing 32 bit for older machines and no Android wallet either which seems odd as it appears to be designed to be far easier to mine and made for older cpu - most of which are 32 bit.

EDIT Update : Weird, the mining pool is showing as follows:

about 15 hours ago   7.62 SHUGA
It seems the web wallet is showing total balance as a deposit received amount each time a deposit is made, not the actual deposit amount in the transaction history and then total as wallet balance. Logically it ought to be saying second deposit amount was 172 and then total is 180, but shows as receiving 180 and balance also 180.

Maybe you are talking about Sugarchain, which uses the core of sugar and does not require such a large block.
