Good morning my country people, today I wan talk about skills wey fit change our life, because education alone is just not enough if you must succeed, you know say you don't have to go to school to be successful, but need to go to school to be enlightened.
See eh, the way tins dy go, even as a graduate, if you no get high paying hand work or skill, e no go easy for you, regardless of ur educational background, so e dy important say if we want live well for this naija wey we dy, try your possible best to learn a high paying skill like trading, coding, web designing, online marketing skill, learn how to sell, you fit no be the richest, but I believe say if you dy good in any of them, poverty no go knock your door, make ona reason am.
The importance of having a formal education cannot be over emphasize, an educated society is a society that has already been employed, whatever each individual wants to do with that empowerment is up to him or her.
We shouldn't play down the importance of formal education because of the deformity we have in our Nigerian society, education teaches you how to be an entrepreneur, it teaches you the ability to pass on intellectual knowledge to the next generation, we shouldn't forget the slogan that says, education is the bedrock of any society. We are neglecting the core fundamental application of education to a society, that is why we are here today as a country going through complex issues.
Informal education is what your trying to tell us OP, which is also Incorporated into a society with formal education because both of them go in paribasu. however you cannot run a society based on informal education only, whatever skill, knowledge and empowerment that you need is all captured in format education.
Just imagine somebody asking a medical doctor to go and learn another skill after spending seven years in the university studying, because there are no job opportunities to absorb the person. that is an absurdity of a dysfunctional society and if not addressed even the informal sector will be affected in a long run.
