⚠️PEPEPOW Mandatory Upgrade – Hoohash Hard Fork

The PEPEPOW network will perform a mandatory protocol upgrade introducing the new Proof-of-Work algorithm hoohash-pepew.

📅Hard Fork Schedule
Block Height: 4354200
Estimated Date: April 10, 2026
UTC Time: 18:00 – 19:00

Nodes running earlier versions will no longer synchronize with the network after this block height.

Required Software Version
All operators must upgrade to:
PePe-core v2.9.0.2

Release page:
https://github.com/MattF42/PePe-core/releases/tag/v2.9.0.2

Masternode Operators
After upgrading and synchronizing your node, restart masternodes using:
./PEPEPOW-cli masternode start-all
Failure to restart may cause the masternode to expire and stop receiving rewards.

Miners
Mining will transition to the Hoohash algorithm. New mining software is available:
hoo_cpu
hoo_gpu
hoo_gpu_amd
hoo_cpu_arm
Download:
https://htn.foztor.net/
Miners should switch to the new miner only after the fork activates.

Pool Operators
Mining pools must support the algorithm hoohash-pepew.
Reference implementations are available at:
https://github.com/MattF42/PePePow_multi-hashing
https://github.com/HoosatNetwork/hoohash

🧪Testing on testnet before the mainnet activation is recommended.

PEPEPOW has completed the Hoohash upgrade and the chain is stable.

After a brief post-fork stall, the community released several miner and core fixes. The network is now running normally, with further testing and optimization still ongoing.

### Miner updates
Downloads: https://htn.foztor.net/

* **v1.4.7** — fixed valid-solution difficulty bug
* **v1.4.8** — fixed `--cpu-affinity`, added 65536 difficulty multiplier
* **v1.4.9** — PEPEPOW-only release, correct `xtranonce2`, better DevFee stratum selection, duplicate solutions removed

### Community pool
https://community-pool.pepepow.org/
`stratum+tcp://stratum-eu.pepepow.foztor.net:13232`
`stratum+tcps://stratum-eu.pepepow.foztor.net:13432`

### Supported miners
* `hoo_cpu` — x64 AVX2
* `hoo_gpu` — Nvidia Maxwell+
* `hoo_cpu_arm` — ARM64 / Termux / mobile

### Core update
**PePe-Core v2.9.0.4**
https://github.com/MattF42/PePe-core/releases/tag/v2.9.0.4

Required for **Windows x64** and strongly recommended for Linux.
Includes `openlibm`, stricter FP64 flags, and checkpoint `4362478`.

### Status
Community Pool, zpool, and Mining4People are all online:

https://community-pool.pepepow.org/
https://mining4people.com/pool/pepecoin-pplns
https://zpool.ca/algo/hoohash-pepew

Thanks to everyone who upgraded, tested, reported issues, and helped stabilize the chain.

PEPEPOW Mining Status Update

PEPEPOW mining continues to improve following the transition to the Hoohash mining ecosystem.

The chain is stable, blocks are flowing, and miners across the community are actively helping test, optimize, and improve mining performance.

Current progress includes:

- CPU mining is working well
- GPU mining is now active
- Miner efficiency is improving
- Compatibility across different setups is getting better
- Pool-related improvements are still ongoing

There are still some bugs and rough edges to improve, especially for newer users running miners on Windows, WSL, HiveOS, and different CPU or GPU hardware.

The community is encouraged to continue sharing useful feedback, including:

- Bug reports
- Miner logs
- Hardware specifications
- Operating system details
- Pool settings
- Hashrate and power usage results
- Overclocking and efficiency settings
- Beginner-friendly setup instructions
- Suggestions for improving usability

When reporting miner issues, please include enough details to make the problem easier to reproduce, such as miner version, hardware model, operating system, pool address, command or configuration used, and relevant error messages or logs.

Plain-language guides are also very helpful. Clear setup instructions, screenshots, troubleshooting notes, and simple explanations can help new miners join the PEPEPOW ecosystem more easily.

Special thanks to Foztor and everyone contributing through testing, debugging, optimization, documentation, and community support.

PEPEPOW continues to grow through community contribution.

PEPEPOW Explorer Update

The PEPEPOW explorer has been updated.

The main explorer domain now points to the improved community-maintained explorer:

https://explorer.pepepow.org/

The common explorer paths should continue working normally, including:

/tx/...
/block/...
/blockhash/...
/address/...
/richlist

This means existing explorer links should remain usable without requiring major updates from users, exchanges, or services.

The updated explorer also includes a PEPEPOW-themed background and improved visual identity. The design direction follows the PEPEPOW visual reference style, which emphasizes a futuristic, constructive, community-driven Proof-of-Work atmosphere.

Some differences may still exist compared with the previous explorer. Certain pages or features such as masternodes, info/API page, claim feature, orphaned blocks list, and whale-movement tracking may differ or be added later.

Thanks to Profit King and Foztor for coordinating the server setup, DNS update, Cloudflare routing, IPv4/IPv6 configuration, and monitoring.

Community members are encouraged to test the explorer and report:

Broken links
Missing pages
Display issues
Slow loading
Unexpected errors

PEPEPOW remains a community-driven ecosystem, built through ongoing contribution, testing, and improvement.
