Education and the development of skills

Though both are highly useful, I believe that education is more important than skill acquisition. What do you think about this in today's world, and which would you let your brother, sister, or kids to pursue?

The importance of skill along side with education can no longer be over emphasis they are both important and useful in our society today first skill is part of education itself because it also has to do with a learning process. However, considering the nature of society today it is very important to have the both if possible to enable you have a better chance of having different streams of income such that when one is may not not be needed the other might be needed and there is absolutely not wrong having different streams of income flow.

Both are needed not only if the education is acquired but after the education as well as skills are needed. Knowing a lot about a lot of fields along with real education and having a lot of skills that you can turn your hand to any endeavor will ensure that you are always in demand. Having so many subjects to draw from has a surprising advantage: it allows you to look at issues and problems from different perspectives.

If I would tell anyone close to me to pursue education or skill,I would tell the person to pursue education.Education is light.Education creates several series of exposition.Skill or education all are ways of acquiring knowledge.An educated person can also learn several skills if he/she wants to.Education is valued and prominent in the society.For the fact that I know the value of education I would also tell everyone around me to pursue education and after being educated you can learn any skill you like.

Education is a very important thing in human life. No country or nation can ever prosper without education. So according to the philosophers, to destroy a nation, its education system must be destroyed. Again, without formal education, you can't even get a certificate. And without a certificate, you can't show your educational qualifications in the job field. I will say that no underdeveloped or developing country has a low literacy rate. But the number of unemployed in those countries is increasing day by day due to lack of proper training and modernization in the sectors where employment is limited and skills are not modernized. But skill does not only apply to education, but if one can be practically skilled in any work, there is no dearth of work. For example, if someone is good at driving or cooking or any work, there will be job opportunities for him in the country and outside the country. Nowadays even the less educated are earning money by using the internet or by improving their skills here. So I would say education and skill are both equally needed.

I will give my own opinion based on what is happening in my country currently. I could remember way back during the 80s and 90s, education was the highest in the country and whoever goes to college is highly respected and gets a good government job. Then whoever goes to the university, on the day of his graduation, foreign companies will be lining up waiting to employ him, and send him abroad to train him on the skill aspect of what they want him to know.

These days, it is the opposite. The people that graduates from the university don't have jobs, and government is not doi g anything about it. If that graduate did not learn any skill, he will be forced to learn a skill so that he am survive in the country, or he will be doing odd jobs to survive. The people have are skillful are the ones enjoying in my country, because people will always need their services.

Now that inflation is very high in my country, and the price of commodities are 4x the initial price, the skill people will also increase the cost of their services to meet up with the high cost of commodities in order for them not to feel inflation that much. While the government workers or company workers salary will not be increased and inflation will hit hard on their income making them to live a low standard life compared to before.

In my opinion, I will say the two has their own value in today's world, but I will to choose education for my loved ones because education offers both knowledge and ideas of skills acquisition, although skills is also important as it can also serve as a means of employment to oneself or to the society but a solid or a very good education will help someone to make informed decisions which can open doors for opportunities because we don't know where help might come from and education its also good incase we find ourselves in a foreign land, which skill acquisition can't especially if we can't frequently speak or write, it's important to learn skill to because it's not everyone has the brain to go to school. So I will like to also say that, any side an individual knows he or she can do well, should just do what he or she knows how to do best, be it education or skills because what favours one, doesn't mean it will favour others too.

Both are required in today's time if the opportunities are limited. But what's good with these two is that you can also learn both of them, you'd learn to have that education and the same goes for the skills that you may want to acquire. I'd personally say that to my siblings to acquire first their diploma and earn that bachelors that they are taking as that will set them before they go into the real world. They will discover more of themselves and where they are interested with and good at.
As the time passes by, they'll learn new skills, they'd develop it and will see if they can go on with the other competitors if ever they get into the job market. But beyond these two, I'd tell them that there's one that will surpass both of it and that's what many employers are looking for before skills and that's all about having a good attitude. The naturality of having a good attitude will make the company want to hire you more and even you go into a business, having good attitude will bring you further than what you can imagine because you're coachable, you're humble, people will not go away from you but instead will bring more opportunities to you.

See, education and skills are equally important things and there is no chance to deny the appeal of either. But when it comes to consistency, learning comes before skill acquisition. Every person in the world is engaged in productive work and one of the main objectives behind this is to carry the responsibility of self and family also maintain the continuity of economic development. Hence, both education and skill are equally important for engaging in any productive work.

Education and skills are different thing entirely but many misunderstood the two days, in our today world, you will believe with me that most successful people in this country are business people and those with skills. Let me use Nigeria as a case study, After your years in school and Bagged that certificate then graduated you will still come back home hunting streets here and there just to seek for work but one who has a skills will be making lots of money through that skills he/she has

Am not saying going to school is bad but as you are going to school also learn skills that will be fetching you money so that you will earn your ends need and will not be useless to the society, you will see many youths today in our society engaging in all sorts of criminal acts just because there's no job to Carter for themselves and their families.

my brother country is very corrupt and instead of me to involve myself in university taking 4 years of my time to study and graduate it is better for me to learn a skill within 1 year and 6 months so with that scale I think that I will be earning more than someone who graduated with Fs class so it is left for every person to make it own choice I choose skill more than education because there is no employment in my country
