(RESOLVED) FREEBITCO.IN SCAM, DEPOSIT NOT CREDITED

WHAT HAPPENED

On September 1, 2023 (01/09/2023), I made 2 deposits of - 0.02323614 BTC & 0.00323868 BTC into my freebitco.in account, however only one of these deposits was added to my balance on the website.  Here is my transaction hash - ecf4659f060045db0c59e566b360e5773279d9fb641dbb6cb06f5ab3287a3058

There are 2 deposits made to my freebitcoin address - 1BEgLs5kk9SBHWURfgnkAz9wWzscwD6nAw
- 0.00323868 BTC (No. 15 on the transaction list)
- 0.02323614 BTC (No. 76 on the transaction list)

I was credited the first deposit of 0.00323868 BTC but never the second of 0.02323614 BTC.

It is noteworthy to mention that prior to this I had used freebitco.in seamlessly, since 2016. I had never had any issues with deposits or withdrawals as everything was always done promptly, hence I had also never had a reason to reach out to support for any complaints whatsoever.

Since I had used the platform without any major concerns I didn't think it should be a major issue, maybe just a slow network so I hung on hoping it would be automatically resolved before I even had the chance to complain.
Unfortunately that was not the case and after seeing that the transaction was long confirmed on the blockchain network I decided to reach out to the freebitco.in support team... The attached images show screenshots of my emails to freebitcoin support from 05/09/2023 (4 days after the transaction was made and still not credited to me on the website). Mind you I had also earlier sent a complaint using the contact form option on the website (Didn't think it will get to this so I have no screenshot proof of that).
I received no feedback whatsoever from freebitco.in, weeks turned into months and not as much as an automated response confirming that my complaints had been received and being looked into, so this triggered me to do a little research using google. In the middle of researching to find an alternative means to connect with freebitco.in support I came across TheQuin & Wetsuit's profiles on this forum and that genuinely was relief. I immediately signed up and reached out to TheQuin, sending a personal message as well as quoting a few posts to get his attention.
It took another 2 months (December to February 20) before TheQuin finally responded to one of my quotes, requesting that I resend the PM as he must have missed it, which I immediately did.
At this point I was more positive that my complaint would be resolved quickly but that was not to be the case, TheQuin responded to my personal message on February 21, asking me to include my account ID in the subsequent reply (screenshot also attached above), I responded after with my account ID but then he became less and less active on the forum, coming online less frequently (sometimes once in 2 weeks) without addressing my complaints or responding to my personal messages.
I decided to mail freebitco.in support a couple more times, but that again turned out to be of no use as I got no response per usual.

I kept posting in a freebitco.in gambling thread section of the forum, trying to find out what other users' experience was like with freebitco.in support and if anyone had previously had a similar problem to mine to know how they got it resolved. Unfortunately, a lot of the responses were far from encouraging as many users stated their terrible experiences with contacting the support of freebitco.in. I reached out a couple of more times to TheQuin, sending PMs and also quoting some of his posts, I never received a reply from him.

I kept posting in the gambling section thread asking for help on how to best get this issue resolved and some of the users asked me to create a scam accusation thread. I am hoping that this can help me call the attention of the owners of the platform freebitco.in and also aid in the recovery of my funds, as TheQuin has been online quite a number of times in recent times without paying any attention to my case or responding to my personal messages. It's been well over 7 months of trying to get in touch with this platform to have my complaint resolved and absolutely nothing has been done about it. PLEASE HELP!

Hello, thank you very much. The problem is that since I hadn't previously experienced any issues with the site I kept making deposits into my account, all of which were credited seamlessly by the way. As of today my history does not contain stats from as far back as September 2023. It usually just shows last 25 deposits and I've made even more that after the issue happened. I was confident it would be resolved since I read somewhere in the T&C that it usually takes up to 8 weeks to resolve transactions. My main concern however was that I never got any response to any of my emails.

If everything you wrote is correct (and it seems that your request is quite legitimate) then it's really strange that no one has been able to solve it for so long. I have used the platform freebitco.in since 2016 and not once have I ever had problems with deposits or withdrawals, it's always been seamless until this. I just want this resolved as quickly as possible but it seems no one from their end is willing to help solve this case. I have sent numerous mails to the company support, none of which was responded to or in the very least acknowledged. TheQuin continues to come online frequently and ignores all my PMs. It's sickening to have to wait almost 8 months to get a simple issues such as this one resolved. In all honesty I have lost faith in the platform and its owners.

I want to believe that there is a good explanation for what is happening to you, but this kind of thing should not happen to someone who generally has a very good reputation as freebitco. Even if your deposit ended up on another freebitco account due to an error in their system or something similar happened, that is no reason to ignore someone for so long instead of answering and returning the funds.

I don't want to believe that your case is unsolved just because you are new to this forum, but I'm pretty sure that something like that wouldn't happen to one of the older and more famous members of the forum.

Can you tell if the scammed amount is your largest deposit? It might have the reason for them to become suspicious on their own.

Actually no, I have made much larger deposits than this one. I have used the site from 2016 until now without any issues or complaints, this is the first one and it's really sad to see that it has lingered for so long with no response or solution from the admin end.

I've also been following this case since the beginning when the user @jper3009 started posting his complaints at freebitco.in's official thread. He actually waited for too long to start this thread, because he was trying direct contact with support, without success, unfortunatelly. But I hope now through this thread his case can get more recognition and attention from other members of this forum who can help pressuring freebitco.in for a reply and solution for this issue, which is going on for incredible 7 months so far, as stated by OP.

I'm supportive to the cause presented by OP, in legit case, because it's really painful to seek for a solution for so long, while talking to the walls without any replies or solidarity from other people who just keep ignoring you. Especially now that we are in bullish market and OP could be using his deposit (which isn't a low sum of money) to profit from the increasements in Bitcoin's price.

To freebitco.in, I would say to not see this thread as an attack against their reputation, rather as a desperate request for a more active and attentive support towards their community of users.

There has been a noticeable decrease in quality of their customer service in recent months. There was the issue where tokens went missing from our accounts and buying/selling was disabled for more than a week. They never gave an explanation for that. This was followed by a long outage which they eventually said was caused by a DDOS. There was also the previous lambo winner who waited weeks before receiving his prize because he couldn’t get in touch with them. Their signature campaign is now paused for the first time in years from what I can remember because of delayed escrow top ups.

All this coincides with The Quin having long absences from the forum. I hope there is nothing wrong with his health. Whatever the cause may be for these issues I hope they can address these concerns and resolve your case. I believe your issue is more likely caused by a technical error in their system rather than intentionally scamming, but nonetheless it is unacceptable to wait this long for something which can be fixed easily by verifying whether an amount was actually credited or not.

Believe it or not, what I have seen years ago is that freebitco.in has terrible support, regardless of this forum or at all. One got the impression that users just hope that no issue will arise because the process of solving it is more than complicated.
Maybe they enjoy a lot of trust, and they have been in business for a long time, but their customer support is one of the worst in the industry.

The silence of TheQuin is a bit strange now. He is coming to Bitcointalk forum regularly, but not replying to any inquiries and PM. The betting system of Freebitco wouldn't work without his presence as he settles the payout manually. We have seen a good number of complaints regarding various things of Freebitco in the last few months except the betting system payout. Now I'm wondering why he isn't saying anything here while he is doing his duty (bet settlement) actively on Freebitco. The sig campaign of Freebitco has been put on hold after 211 rounds for the inactivity of TheQuin or Freebitco team.

In the past they’ve said FreeBitco.in is a 2 person operation with some assistance in marketing and coding. TheQuin also handles other duties so customer service is only a part-time thing. For a website whose user base has grown massively reaching tens of millions of people each month, according to Semrush, it no longer seems reasonable to rely on such a small team. For them to be giving away lambos every few months it clearly shows they have the budget to invest more in their support.

We get some help from a PR consultancy for the marketing, social media etc. and a friend of wetsuit's who helps out with the HTML coding and page design. Other than that it's just the 2 of us.

I am really fed up, fighting everyday to get what I have lost back and still there is no acknowledgement or any kind of response from freebitco.in or TheQuin. This is a helpless and potentially hopeless situation. TheQuin and Wetsuit could easily be billionaires but somehow it skipped the top of their heads to employ a customer support team for their platform, they have chosen to run a platform of millions of users as though it is a family of 4 with no investment in customer feedback and support. This is a nightmare, several users have confirmed that there is no form of response from support when they try to make contact. Ideally, I should not be on this forum trying to get in touch with support@freebitco.in, I should only have to send a mail and receive an acknowledgement and or a personnel to help look into and resolve my complaints.

It is possible that both people who can solve these kinds of problems somehow got into life situations where they had to put their life problems before the work they lead. Of course, this is not something that will satisfy you and others who need customer support, but as long as the whole thing is operational and online, you should not lose hope.

That amount stuck on their site is not too big, and on the other hand, not insignificant either (it depends on where you live), but if it can be a consolation for you, most of us have lost some funds on similar things at some point, especially in the beginning when we were young and inexperienced.

In truth, I am not the only person to have experienced an issue like this, there definitely are others who keep helplessly sending mails across to their support team with no response. You see a lot of people would not go as far as signing up on bitcointalk just to get support assistance from freebitco.in. I strongly believe that the minute any customer has a similar problem to mine it is over, because the support team responds to no one (If you doubt this go and ahead and send a mail to support@freebitco.in, you will get no response, guaranteed).

I may never get back my funds (I have made peace with that), but what I promise to never stop doing is calling the owners of the platform out. It is foolish and thieving to have a website of millions of users with no investment made on quality customer support. For all the money TheQuin and Wetsuit make, give me one reason why they cannot employ extra hands to effectively run their customer support if they are not being stylishly fraudulent. They know it is impossible for 2 people to continuously handle that amount of work, still after 10 years+ in business they think it's irrelevant or not necessary to hire a support team, that says it all for me. You see the irony of life will hit everyone at some point, I will continue to call out freebitco.in no matter what anyone says. I have nothing against the platform, I speak my truth. Although I'm not sure, but I think they have to give the full access of Freebitco to the person who will be hired as support agent with the permission to view user account. To be frank, Freebitco support quality has decreased as the time has passed. Where their reputation has increased gradually. They have invested money to create other casinos (dPlay, ClubRiches), where the live support system is available on dPlay casino.

Maybe you can try to get help about your issue from dPlay live support team as the casino is also owned by Freebitco team. It may not be effective, but it is the only hope for now as the support system of Freebitco is unresponsive.

I read your posts regarding the issue that you had with Freebitcoin support, and I am very happy that your issue was resolved.
I am faced with the similar problem, albeit, somewhat different. I deposited over 0.067 BTC and have not received them in my account over 36 hours. I cannot reach any support from them, they simply do not reply.

I tried sending emails to  info@freebitco.in  and support@freebitco.in without any reply.
Are these the correct emails? do you have any other emails that you communicated with them?

I also direct messaged TheQuin in bitcointalk.org forum, and did not got any reply. I am worried that I have been scammed and lost my money.

Since I saw you were in the same situation, I was hoping you could help me with some directions how to deal with this case.

I have used the FAQ in freebitco.in site to send them a message, and not received any reply.

I am really hoping that it is some "network issue" or some internal issue within Freebitco.in because of these address changes, however their lack of any responses is not giving me too much confidence.
And I am worried that, due to after several hours after depositing, the address was changed back to the old historical deposit address.

Firstly, you should have made this post in the ANN thread of Freebitco instead of this thread. Because OP's issue was different and it has been resolved already. Otherwise, you may create your own scam accusation thread by describing the issue.

BTW, I haven't seen any notifications on Freebitco regarding the change of the deposit address. Or maybe I haven't checked the notifications properly in the last few days. Another user has complained about the same thing a few days ago (see here). TheQuin hasn't replied to him yet. Perhaps, Freebitco team is indeed working to update the deposit address.

I was on a break and now that I have returned the first thing I did was to check this thread and track the status.
I am so happy for you. You have finally won the battle. Although it took a good amount of your time and patience, it was still worth it.
I am more than happy because I can now say it again that freebitco.in does not have any unresolved queries or scam accusations agasint them.
