Your point is not that clear OP, did you buy bitcoin with $100 and traded it to make the $1000+ in profits? Where you holding the profits you got from the trading as you have been trading all this years ? How were you able to keep this coins and still get to trade? Your point is very confusing but to see how much you’ve made from last year to now is very interesting and one will like to make use of your method if it’s not all risky as yours to make some money. Trading is risky and nothing is not worth risking if it deserves it.

The title of OP is very different from the body of the thread. I assume that OP was holding according to the title of thread. But the time frame mentioned by Op wouldn't increase his holding that much, maybe he traded at some points. But trading and making profits doesn't mean you have arrived. You need to show your results in a long term to be sure you are still winning.

Nice trades, holding cryptocurrency could really give you profit, but we should never ignore the risk on trading or investment.
I believe that Bitcoin or crypto could help us achieve a better life or be successful, we only need to understand or learn how to earn from it, trading is not for everyone it requires patients, knowledge and skills.

It has given a lot of us a better life and that's not deniable. Those that have sticked to the market and held Bitcoin even if many have been bashing them, they never gave up holding it.

Some that have panicked that they're able to sold at a cheaper price. That still have given them good gains at that time and put into good use the money that they've earned from holding and selling Bitcoin.

But now is where the lessons are being applied. The longer you're holding bitcoin, the less worry that you'll get because this is how it goes when you've gained a lot of experience from the ups and downs of this highly volatile market.

I think it's his friend that's addicted to gambling and they've both started in bitcoin at the same time, I think that's what I'm getting at in this post. If OP was able to make a decent profit out of the 100 USD that he has started off of, I think that OP is already careful about his investment, that kind of profit doesn't really scream recklessness so carelessness is definitely out of OP's mind and to you OP, I hope you're going to get more profit in the near future, no big losses may come to you and hopefully you'll enjoy your trading journey with even more profits.

Congrats on your earnings. So you have increased your capital more than tenfold , but the Bitcoin price had increased from 15K to 70K USD in the last 2 years(which is less than tenfold). I guess that you are actively trading altcoins or maybe you are doing something else.
You can't turn 100 USD into 1130 USD just by buying and HODLing BTC in the last 5 months. It's sad how some people fall victims to their own greed, right after they have made a decent amount of money. Some people think that a good day trader can be a good gambler as well. The people shouldn't gamble with money they cannot afford to lose. Anyway, 1130 USD doesn't seem like a big amount, but I guess that you live in a country where 1130 USD is a decent amount of money. I hope that you will manage to multiply those 1130 into 10K USD.

congratulations mate , that is a good increase for 5 months  means you have earned more than 1000 dollars but sadly you did not add more capital to top it up so you might earn more on that for sure.

For me, trading or investing are both ways to make money in this market and each person will choose their own method of making money. I agree that holding is safer and easier but that doesn't mean we should stay away from trading altogether. Just because we can't make money trading, it doesn't mean others can't. In this case, if OP is capable and can make money from trading then there is no reason for him to stop. But when the amount has become larger, he should diversify instead of focusing entirely on trading as that will be quite risky.

It is undeniable that trading and investing is one of the ways to make money and everyone must realise that it only depends on our alertness in doing research and knowing risk management well.

In addition, there is also no prohibition on anyone whether it is to invest or trade they are free to do so as long as they know that they can be there but in this case my emphasis on trading is a situation where the risk is much greater.

If you really want to be there then that's fine but we also need to just remind that when beginners to be in trading without really qualified knowledge then it is tantamount to suicide so there needs to be another consideration when there is a beginner and make trading as one of the paths they will choose unless they want to learn hard about what is related to trading.

Ok. Even if the OP stops real gambling and still doesn't have the actual knowledge about cryptocurrency investment he/she technically is still gambling.
Having said that, in this current market we're in a $100 investment in Bitcoin and will barely make a good profit unless the OP is doing the investment simultaneously using the DCA investment method

There's no doubt that people who trust bitcoins and bought them when the price was under $20k are now celebrating and also they are regretting not buying as much as they can when the price was lower. Right now those who didn't believe at all and even support those who claimed that bitcoins are done for, are even more suffering from regret because they took the wrong path instead of taking the risk of buying it while the price was affordable to them. the same is the advice I give people who is new into cryptocurrency and who is also new into bitcoin trading and the Bitcoin investment instead of you to join trading that you don't know the rudiment of it it is better for the person to accumulate it Bitcoin because holding a bitcoin for long time will it be better for you as a beginner than for you to join a trading that you don't know the procedures of trading, holding of a coin especially bitcoin for long time you will be more advantageous than trading because there's every possibility that on the process of holding your BTC the price might increase due to the current demand and you make profit towards that time that is why it is good for someone to accumulate Bitcoin hold it for long time.

What I have noticed with most beginners nowadays, they're too adventurous. We are advising them the chill method of getting into Bitcoin and that's through buying and holding. Yeah, any amount of gain is a sound investment for him and he just need to be consistent. We all want everybody to profit on investing in Bitcoin but we're also giving advises on how careful they should be and just like me, I am not a good English speaker and that's not my first language and a storyteller but sometimes, some confusing words that are in the story really gets me. Anyway, as we all understand everything that's been said, it's all about the same strategies that we do for Bitcoin.

This is the sweet time in the investment period there will a time that the market will also enter the Bear market and at that time, things will not like this again and that is the challenging time and the best time to refund and refill your wallet if  you have money.

I don't know what your target is but Bitcoin definitely made its new ATH and reached an all time high but that was in the first quarter of 2024. We would expect another all-time high for Bitcoin after the Bitcoin Halving. If this all-time high is not your hope, you wait and hold on to your investment. You will succeed in the next Bitcoin bull market and your hopes will be fulfilled. If you have invested then hold your investment and if necessary increase the investment using DCA method to increase the investment hope you will be successful.

I don't know how true your story is, but if you truly used $100 to make $1130 in trading between the few months you mentioned, I will say you are a good and experienced trader because trading is not that easy to make this kind of profit in such a short period of time unless you are a genius. Trading is really risky.

I don't know how true your story is, but if you truly used $100 to make $1130 in trading between the few months you mentioned, I will say you are a good and experienced trader because trading is not that easy to make this kind of profit in such a short period of time unless you are a genius. I can't call him good for that span since there are scenarios that some new trader can able to earn that due to luck. But if he can able to sustain to get profits and have good discipline on the trades he made and have good strategy applied on each trading decisions he drops then provably we can say that he's really good and absorbing all of those information's that can help him to become a good trader.

Also its generic advise to buy and hold but its hard to execute since there's a lot of temptation out there that can disturb the attention of people and can shift their decision towards their investment they made. But also at least they can read up some good suggestion so they can able to decide either to follow or ignore it. But at early stage of their career on bitcoin and other crypto they really need to experience first on how to trade so that they can learn a lot of things and that can help them to strengthen their beliefs that holding bitcoin is much better than spending it on other more riskier activities.

Was it trading that gave you that huge profit with $100,then you must be a genius. I don't understand how you got such profit, because you said that you were trading and hodling at the same time. That is wonderful to se how much profit your strategy gave you.

I prefer hodling than trading, because I am not a good trader, so I don't want to gamble with my bitcoin. However, every investor that took the opportunity to invest last year was would be in profit by now because the price of bitcoin have really surged high. If you continue hodli till next year you will make more profits compared to what your bitcoin have generated now. But if you continue trading, you might  lose all your funds.

Some people would rather trade than do anything else, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that because in life you will do things and not make money, but when someone else makes money, they will make more money than you could have imagined. Even though I'm not very good at trading, those who are and will make money from it will continue to do so. However, a lot of traders are clueless about what to do with their profits once they have reached a point where they can purchase bitcoin with them. They will trade with their profits until they lose both the money they have and the profit.

As someone who is highly intelligent and skilled at trading, you should also have a plan. Trading is not something you do every time you make money; in every instance where you make money, you will eventually lose money. I haven't personally experienced this, but I have heard of others who have, so it's also a good idea to purchase bitcoin with your profit and hold onto it for a while. If trading doesn't work out, at least you will still have hope that you have something to hold onto for the future.
