Actually no safe way if investing here in altcoins, there is always risk  that you must face.
But, at least, you can choose the one by declining the risk.
For me, the best way is to diversify on top coins only. Low market cap coins, new coins, or meme coins are high risks, this will  not be safe enough for your capital and assets. That is why In my opinion, top altcoins will be preferable to minimize the risk, not to eliminate the risk.

Maybe, you can differentiate into several percentage, where it include 3 - 4 coins?
Would you analyze some top altcoins like:
- Ethereum
- BNB
- Solana
- Matic

Buying altcoins and using the word safe don't go together.  There is no safe way to buy altcoins since they are all pretty much a gamble.  If you want crypto and safe stick the whole thing into bitcoin and let it ride.  You are looking for big profits it sounds like which requires huge risk.  Simply put there is no way to mitigate risk in altcoins.  You have to be prepared to lose it all.

I think the less you buy an altcoin the better. If you buy up to 100 altcoins I think it will be a waste of your money because it cannot provide significant profits. I suggest you to only buy 5 altcoins. And it depends on how much risk you can bear. I personally like buying 2 big cap projects and 3 small cap projects. I hope that small cap projects can give me big profits and I will buy other small cap projects, according to the current narrative. I do agree that a thousand dollars doesn't really look that big, and I feel like it would not be simple, we should probably consider that as not a big deal and could be considering the situation as sensitive. I believe that if we give it enough time then it is going to be bigger, but going from a thousand dollars to something much larger would not be easy, a lot of people will lose patience while waiting for it to become bigger.

Doubling your money every year may not sound as big profits to some, but in fact that is massive as if a person could maintain those kind of profits every single year, they will get more than 1000x during that decade.

So someone that invested an amount of money as low as 1k will get one million dollars after those ten years, that being said, it is difficult to earn that much money in a consistent way, as the bear market presents such difficult conditions that breaking even is a good enough result in my mind.
