Take note of filling survey they are paying much compared to just watching ads and yes it depends on the country you are living if you live in the US I'm sure they are paying much.
Transcribing like he mentioned I never tried this one but a friend of mine can make a very good earning on a daily basis not just $3 daily but more than that because of his accuracy in transcribing any audio.

I have always thought that, if someone is willing to pay you so much for your surveys, it means that they are worth more than that for them.
In my case, I would never consider it as a way of income, not only because of the time you need to fill them (some are really long) but also because they ask you for personal details that will be sold to who knows who, and I value my time and privacy more than a few bucks a day.
