It is not really a 'career'.  In my opinion.

Most people just purchase Bitcoin and wait.  Trading is a career.  Building a business is a career.  Not sure about simply purchasing Bitcoin.

The volatility definitely makes it hard for a lot of people to earn a good living through Bitcoin if they rely SOLELY on it.  This is because you can have great profits as it rises like a rocket, but when Bitcoin drops it does drop like a boulder often too.  I rather see Bitcoin like a pension fund instead.  You purchase Bitcoin to live off it later, after a long term waiting.

Yes, it's possible; only that the person won't leave it for too long or they become traders. They've to make it on a short term and be monitoring it and taking profit from time to time. Long term investors who leave it for years, won't do well if they solely depend on it for bread. I don't think there's anyone who would want to invest heavily in Bitcoin and depend on it financially without doing a bit of profit-taking and restocking (buying back). Investing in Bitcoin and leaving it to roll into profit on its own can only work in a bull market, not bear market, to even state the obvious.

You and I know that the bear season lasts longer than the bull season. So, it will be difficult for anyone who just buys Bitcoin and hodles (that's the major thing investors do) it without any side hustle to live well during such a time, no matter how much profit they make during the bull rally. Again, nothing renders the brain/mind redundant faster than not engaging it in activities that will task its usefulness. That's what hodling without extra hustle to engage the mind does.

I mean it is surely possible, to make a living out of it and there are for sure people that are doing full-time trading or investors, It surely not going to be that easy if you are expecting it to be something like a job where you could collect your salary or payout every month. For a full-time trader, it's surely going to be difficult especially if you are just a newbie in the cryptocurrency space and don't know how things work, but with knowledge and the right funds for sure you could sustain profitable investments and trades where you can make a living out of it. Especially if you're a long-term investor I could easily see people retiring just to go on being cryptocurrency investors, if you already have enough money that could sustain you, that could easily be used in order to start an investment journey for long-term plans as long as you know what you are doing, trading and investing only on sure profits trades it is surely going to be a good career in the long run. Maybe if you have a lot of passive income already you could go to something like full-time investors, because there will always be a backup plan on your end.

Regardless of the good potential that Bitcoin has to offer ,relying on only one source of income is dangerous let alone relying on a volatile Asset like Bitcoin, However, if you would do this ,you need big capital and patient too to be able to see the result you want,  basically buying the lows and selling the highs, but there is no guarantee that the market will consistently give you the desired result you look for, Futhermore, you can have services you render under the Bitcoin ecosystem that will pay you, this way you can assure yourself income stability.

It depends on what you define as a career as a person firstly, before learning what it means from the lips of someone who has their own idea.

Ah! How can you use Bitcoin as a lifetime career? It won't work oh. When the investor is investing foe short or long term investment, he can't take it as a career. Short term investment doesn't mean that you will have your profile in every week or month. There are times you can wait till 2 to 3 months before it can climbed up and when it climbed up and the transaction fee is high too is an another issue. Hard to achieve this knowing how volatile the market is but you could possibly do so something to try if this could be possible to happen don't rely on bitcoin investment only since the result is so long to show up and our profit is fluctuating the same as the volatility of the market plus there's a risk to lose. Let's not confuse ourselves and the newbies about Bitcoin, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and it's sort "bitcoining" of what people are doing for making profit out of it. I know guys that build their whole lives on Bitcoin, they are into Bitcoin investment, and also Bitcoin trading, if you are good at what you do, what will stop you? These guys have families and responsibilities to handle.

Bitcoin investment is always a long term thing, not suited for daily income, and thats why some people who are from countries with cheap electricity tariff decide to start mining Bitcoin, this brings them daily passive income.
You can only rely on something as your full time career if its fetching you daily income, especially a man with responsibilities, I suggest that trading and mining are best for a family man.

If you want to receive any guarantees, then you will not receive them because each person is independent for his investments and further actions with them. I think it may be relatively difficult if you rely solely on BTC as your full-time career, unless you are trading with several cryptocurrencies + stocks.

Treat BTC as a form of investment- you should not rely on it solely as your main income because it is risky. Even if its price history may give you an understanding on its potential, relying solely on investments that can go into different directions can be potentially dangerous if you do not have any backup.

If you truly want to use BTC as your full time career, then you should diversify your investments. As the saying goes, do not put all of your eggs in one basket- diversify your portfolio and explore all the different kinds of investment platforms available (e.g. stocks, bank interests, crypto, etc.).

From time to time, crises occur in the global economy. Bitcoin is also part of the world economy, although it is, as it were, an alternative system (invested money still originates from the traditional financial system). It has been a long time since there have been serious collapses in the global economy, which, if they happen, will also affect  the BTC- system (the consequences will undoubtedly be felt).

An investor has to wait for a long time before they get their profit from an investment they have made in Bitcoin, it could take a complete cycle and each cycle consists of roughly 4 years and that is a long time. You can't invest, and then wait for 4 years to get some profit that you can use for sustainabilities. What would you do in the years when you are waiting for the market to go up so that you can get profitable?

However, if you are a trader, you can keep earning money throughout the time you are active in the market considering you are having more successful trades than failed ones which means your net outcome will be positive and you can live your live off of it if it's enough money.
