It's a CPU miner, check the Bitmain web site. There's no mention of ASICs, just RISCV CPUs.

The X5 is a CPU based mining appliance. It is NOT an ASIC. That's an important distinction because the X5 does not have any advantage

Technically speaking, you are right. But in simple terms, this no longer matters. I remember the first devices for mining Ethereum, which were made from 8 Chinese video cards installed on a Chinese motherboard, but they were also called ASICs.
The manufacturer calls this device a miner, but if this device makes noise like an ASIC, is similar to an ASIC, and works like an ASIC, then according to the duck test rule it is an ASIC

But ASICs don't make any noise, the fans do. And about the duck test, tell that to the ducks that get fooled by a decoy and get shot.

ASIC is the technology that makes a miner, or any other application, very fast. Associating ASIC with mining appliance is misleading
when no ASICs are involved. The effect of this misinformation is evident by the existence of this thread.

Mobile mining is a similar form of misinformation because it has nothing to do with POW but is done to suck in naive newbies into thinking it is.

I would hope that, as a legendary member, you would avoid propagating such misinfo.

14.13*70 = 989.10 watts

But to run 14 Ryzen9 7900s, you need 14 motherboards, RAM and how much power you need. If we divide it in half, we need at least 7 powersubline

But this device is a complete device and I think it can be developed further in ASIC and further.

randomx algo has a good hasrate for solo. Although it is not energy efficient

It seems you're missing the point. It's the answer to your question. The X5 is not a threat to RandomX precisely because the X5 does not use ASICs.

If you are a true anti ASIC supporter then just like you like RandomX you should also support and love the Ghostrider algorithm which is the same if not even better,it changes every some minutes to different speeds,rotations and way of hashing which makes it almost impossible if not totally impossible for ASIC-s to take over.This algorithm though is not as well known as RandomX is yet with that much number of processors you are pointing here you can make a huge number of such coins (RTM-Raptoreum) which uses the Ghostrider algorithm.

The more of such coins who are anti ASIC the better for the mining community,I mean small miners community as this is true decentralization.

I know ghostrider, but unfortunately in that algorithm, fill and empty projects are very resistant. There is also the yespower algorithm, which is resistant to Asics, but in these two algorithms, project creators appear and disappear at once, there is no continuity, and there is kawpow for gpu, but there is no project that can be eliminated in it.

Your rigid position only harms you. This is specialized and expensive equipment that is bought by specialists and not housewives. In Russian, the word miner usually refers to software, such as lol miner, and none of the participants will swear too much if a user writes ASIC Antminer X5 in a miner chat.
And to avoid this confusion, sellers in the Russian community write mining equipment. And then in the list with prices there are ASICs and miners.
