I'm personally not into altcoins for long-term holding, although I've made some reasonable returns on a short-term basis, but I understand your point. Despite that, you're still earning Bitcoin through signature campaigns, so unless you're using these funds elsewhere, you're practically investing in both simultaneously.

There are "some" people like that, which I understand and I feel like we are going to end up with a lot of them in the end, they end up investing into altcoins and not into bitcoin at all. I think it's quite obvious that we are going to end up with people like us who invest into bitcoin as well. It's not that easy to make a big difference in the crypto world, sometimes we do make a big difference and sometimes we do just enough, I feel like that's all that matters in the end.

I think it is going to be easy enough and clear enough that bitcoin is the least risky asset to invest into, yes maybe it won't go 100x and that's why some people avoid it, but it would also not crash to zero and that's why we do not stay away from it neither. I believe it is still by far the best asset to invest into.

About Bitcoin, I've put a stop to its investment since last year, and as an investor of many years in the field of the financial market, it is not advisable to continue to buy an asset at a high level, it is always detrimental, especially if something unforeseen happens at that unattractive level. Needless to say, the expected value is no more worth the risk since there is no way one will make 3 times their investment in Bitcoin in this bull season again, so why still risk it even as we are not yet sure if 2 times the increase is still certain in this bull run.

A lot of questions are being asked at this point, and if care is not taken, one may make regrettable mistakes by believing that Bitcoin will always behave the way it did in the past. I started my Bitcoin investment in 2020 and I was committed to pumping it every week then, so I've had enough and with what I've gained so far, there is no way I can miss out on this world cake anymore. Let me start by saying I am not a new crypto-era investor, that's why I strictly follow the rules of investment and do not let the love of Bitcoin blind my judgment. And among the rules of investment, the two simplest ones state; "Buy the low and Sell the high".
This does not emphatically tell you that you should just dabble into them so fast but carefully study them and at least not continue to buy the market that is already high and expensive. The risk is too much and the reward may not be worth it, so why risk it when the potential risk-to-reward ratio is not obviously attractive?

Also, investors are different, like you said, you mentioned DCA, but we can't plan the same way. I DCA when I want to truly invest in certain conditions, and that will be the time when the market is still within the confined level that is still considered safe and reasonable for me to invest it. I did that in 2022 and 2023 and I stopped in 2023. So, it is not about the fact of DCAing or not but the fact that the market is too high in price and unattractive to me anymore.

About the Bitcoin signature campaign, I don't think your point is valid because Bitcoin is just a medium to get paid in the campaign. I don't fake things, the money could be exchanged for anything later. Just like your fiat, if you are paid in fiat, you can move the money elsewhere for further investment, it is as easy as that. I have my sizable amount of Bitcoin already, so I am not missing out. I'm just saying that it could be discouraging for me to continue purchasing at this high price.

This halving is just a bonus. But even without it, bitcoin alone has already proven its usefulness and profitability for all those years, which made me believe to stick to it no matter what. Although I also want to diversify at some point, but I’ll always keep bitcoin having the highest allocation compared to other assets or investments.

Just like I replied to another topic, if you plan to hodl this investment from now until the next halving which will happen in four years, it is also not a bad plan. Starting now with this investment to accumulate more bitcoins will mean that in the next halving you will be among the major investors who benefit from it too.

Deciding to reduce your investment or stop hodling because this Halving is past will be a very bad choice that you can regret later. No matter the value that this halving will take the value of bitcoins to, there will still be room for profit making.

It's not entreily a bad plan but buying right now at this price and holding for another four years doesn't sit well with me, because a new lows will be made in the next bear market, and we don't know how low Bitcoin could go in 2026, why not just take profit and buy back the lows?

If you don't need profit/money you can do this, but I am pretty sure that everyone needs money, I will say buying Bitcoin and taking your profit is the best thing you can do for yourself, accumulate in the bear market and take profits in the bull market, best thing ever.

Buy according to your ability and have a good calculation, don't focus too much on very difficult things in life such as expecting more in bitcoin because you feel that after halving it can increase significantly, find your way of investing in bitcoin, because someone's mentality may be different and or more depressed if you experience a decline in the price of bitcoin, lucky if you are still buying what if you panic and even sell the bitcoin you have bought. this is where the importance of investment strategies, bitcoin accumulation targets, sales targets, investment targets and targets until you feel enough, realize the form of a term so that your purchase is attractive and not impulsive.

It will be and it's here to stay as long as we live and that's why even with so much innovation out there, a store of value will remain as a store of value.

But this is only for Bitcoin and probably for a few kind of altcoins. Other than that, we don't know if they're going to stay just as Bitcoin because no doubt that it is already well established and not going to be gone too soon.

That's a good question you asked there OP, I really believe in the long term holding and I just recently started my bitcoin accumulation thesis and I use DCA method so I'm buying at a weekly interval, I hardly have any concern with what time it is in the market cause I know that if you don't have enough bitcoin then you can't profit enough from bitcoin, so I rather stick with continuing to accumulate bitcoin than be bothered about what good fortune the halving would bring, I plan to hold for 10 years and that's what I am on.

Of course, I am still increasing my Bitcoin investment. I don't plan to sell my bitcoins yet, especially if the price is below $100k. I'll sell it if it gets over $100k. Maybe I'll wait at least a few more months until next year. The halving is over, and we are all waiting for the new ATH price that bitcoin will reach. Yes halving is an important event, but to be honest if you are a hardcore Bitcoin investor, then you don’t care about this. Not only due to this halving, but also I regularly buy the coins whenever possible and when I have funds for investment. I know that Bitcoins are limited in numbers, hence I use this as an advantage. I know a time will come when the demand to accumulate the coins will be high, but due to the fixed supply, the price will go up.

I didn’t really make any investment recently due to I don’t really have any amount which I will be leaving in bitcoin investment for now, but I have been investing even before the halving, and I don’t really have plans to sell higher percentage of my bitcoin for now, i divided my investment into two parts, I will be selling some part of my investment during the bull run, and I will be leaving the rest of my investment in my wallet, and whenever I still have any amount which I know I won’t be using for now, then I will top up my investment wallet.

As I said before, just follow the program that has been done by people who have been proven before to achieve maximum profits in BTC after they have held it for a while, meaning that then we will automatically lead there too.

I keep investing regardless of the time - buy the dip and the high. Also, I continue to HODL because I have faith it will cross 100k, if not in a few months then by the end of the year and will probably continue to hold till it crosses 250k.

A pattern that must be maintained if you continue and I believe your investment will continue to grow, For the price seems to have shown a better development direction compared to a few days ago where the price of BTC has pumped up after a small correction a few days ago.

As most people say, after the halving the Bitcoin price will rise at the end of this year or the beginning of the year it will reach $100K, and before that happens there will definitely be a decline in the Bitcoin price. And it's possible that the recent low of $58K after a new ATH of $73K is the best time to accumulate more Bitcoin and hold it for the long term.
And as long as the purchase price is below $73K, I think it's still a good time to buy Bitcoin and hold it until the Bitcoin price reaches $100K or more. And what we have to know is that Bitcoin is the best investment for long-term methods with various different ways or strategies to collect it which we don't need to worry about, because it will eventually bounce back.

But if you are trying to increase your Bitcoin, your only choice is Bitcoin. Maybe you can still invest in altcoins but you have to be really careful with your choice. Not all or not many altcoins can increase later.
