So basically, my main method of changing
bitcoin to fiat is through Cashapp.
I get bitcoin from x place, send it to my Cashapp, and can turn it into fiat right there.
Cashapp
only offers bitcoin in terms of cryptocurrency you can interact with on their platform, which to me is a "good" sign, rather than a bad one. I mention this incase the question arises,
"Why are you using Cashapp to begin with?".
What I normally do for altcoins involves Atomic Wallet as the main hot wallet (yes I know about the recent security breech) and have x coin sent there. Then, I exchange the altcoin to bitcoin on atomic wallet.
Cashapp does not accept bitcoin from atomic wallet. Why? Not a darn clue.
However, what I figured out I can do is just exchange altcoin to bitcoin on atomic wallet, and then import that bitcoin wallet to
another platform that cashapp accepts bitcoin from. Through trial and error, I found that Bluewallet is a platform compatible with Cashapp. Bluewallet is regarded as top-tier, so this isn't surprising to me.
That still leaves me with my initial problem:1.) Bitcoin fees are super high right now due to halving and other reasons.
2.) 100$ of LTC, roughly 1.17 LTC, would exchange into 0.00033 BTC
on Atomic Wallet.
3.) I think my grandad would say that's a less than savory trade
. I agree.
TLDR: I need a platform to change altcoins into fiat, because changing bitcoin to fiat is too heavy on transactions. For me personally, and my current life situation, it's best for me to change altcoins into fiat, while never touching BTC unless necessary. I am US-based. Hope that helps!
