XELIS Project

Quick announcement on something we've been working our ass off for the past years.
I will summarize briefly below, but if you are ultimately interested, come join us on Discord or Telegram to ask questions.

Mainnet was launched 4 days ago on the 20/04/2024 3PM UTC.

The blockchain
https://github.com/xelis-project/xelis-blockchain

The gist of it:

- Account base model
- POW
- Homomorphic encryption on account balance (private)
- BlockDAG (multiple block at the same height)
- Written from scratch in Rust for over 3 years
- CPU/GPU friendly algo https://github.com/xelis-project/xelis-hash
- CLI and GUI Wallet (Genesix) https://github.com/xelis-project/xelis-genesix-wallet

Network

- 15s block time
- Max supply: 18.4 million
- In circulation: ~23,041 (time of writing)
- Max decimals: 8
- Block reward: 1.46 XEL decreasing each block (no halving)

Next on the roadmap

- Custom native assets (deploy your own private token on the network like native XEL)
- Smart contracts

More precily, custom assets are already implemented, but it needs smart contracts capabilities to execute on the blockchain.

There are rumors that the GPU miner has already been released by a third-party developer and is used by a narrow circle of people. CPU are no longer relevant.

I agree, it will fill and empty, so I won't care.

There were GPUs on the first day, and many people used CPUs to run with them.

The developers shared the GPU miner on day one with their inner circle and friends and then  they market it as a fair launch what a joke...... and then they dont even care to hide it and launch the miner few days later with a 30% fee LOL Grin

We could really use a GPU miner for Windows and Linux that the developers have created. The 3rd party GPU miner that is available is a 30% fee, only works on Linux or WSL and it is not an official miner from the team. I want to mine this coin, but they are not making it very easy to do so.

Why the CPU miner has Emotet Trojan on it? Trojan:Win32/Sabsik.FL.A!ml

For those who are not aware, Emotet Trojan is also known as a stealer malware, that also possesses dropper capabilities. It can perform various activities of the attacker’s choice on the victim’s computer, such as spying, data theft, remote control, and installation of other viruses.

For the Dev's defense, the presence of the “!ml” particle added to the detection name, stands for the use of an AI detection system. While this method is highly effective, it can generate false positive detections without confirmation from other detection systems.

But if it's intentional, Emotet trojan is BAD, like really BAD.

Too late I already installed this on my computer.
My problem now is that the xellis miner software does not want to recognize my address generated within my wallet. I have been trying for a day to get the cpu miner to run. It is impossible, even if I make all kinds of adjustments, there is no way to start the miner.
I get the error.
No miner address specified
 Huh

Not fair launch. Play close attention to the mods. Big gpu miners who mine every new project except this time they made a deal with founder. Gpu mining from start which means the founder is in on it. Bunch of liars. If you mention it in discord, you get banned and threatened to be doxed. Stay away from these people. You know exactly who I'm referring to.

Rest assured, we won't buy it. I don't approach vague startups anymore. Most of the new ones are garbage-fill-empty projects.

I agree,so much crap projects coming out almost every other day,i would rather have a serious project coming out every 6 months rather than having to sift thru all the garbage to find something good.
