What's the progress of ethereum, would it reach 3k this year or higher?

ETH is already trending around $3200 and it may possibly break it's previous ATH in future hence I would request you to hodl on to the remaining Ethereum balance as it has potential to give good returns. Just don't sell it off until the bullrun.

The good thing about ETH is that this is one of the few solid alts that you can hold onto. Unlike most alts, eth is actually doing progress in terms of their developments. I believe Buterin is not just sitting around and not doing something.
So for me, if you have spare, you can stash some ETH. Much much better than most meme tokens or alts. But even if ETH has solid foundation, still it is advisable to keep up with its progress. Even big projects fail without warning. And this is true for all crypto projects that you want to get involved with. You don't just buy, hold and forget. Because most of the time, these alts exit from the market without warning.

Is it a mistake or what? The price of Ethereum is already above $3k, so I guess you were trying to mention a higher figure in your title and post because it doesn't make sense to expect a price that is already here.

Considering the popularity and craze of Ethereum in the market, it should go above $10k in the bull run in case Bitcoin manages to reach $100k because Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency in the market and it is the most trusted altcoin as well. So as soon as the market starts going up, people will surely start stacking cryptocurrencies that are at the top of the leaderboard and after Bitcoin, it's Ethereum that will catch the eyes of the investors.

About this year, I guess it will reach or may cross at least $5k.

Well, ETH won’t quit like all of those scam projects. It has never shown such sign and would not because it’s a transparent project. However, it is still possible for such huge projects to die out. We can see how there’s competition amongst blockchains; how Solana is competing with Ethereum. That shows that if one of them losses grip, they’ll be left behind, which I believe adds to the reason we can see them constantly making updates in codes.
