What about the other Dapp wallets like Trust Wallet, Bitget Wallet etc? I often utilise Bitget Wallet as my first preference and undoubtedly it has added a few exceptional features that others haven't, it supports Future trading, deposits via the P2P method, a launchpad for other projects, Swap with a limit option, NFTs, minting, sources of multiple DApps at one place etc.
Trustwallet and Bitget wallet are not bitcoin lightning wallet. They support bitcoin but it is better you use good wallet that are not close source but open source for bitcoin. There are many bitcoin wallets that are open source. Electrum, Passport, Trezor, Sparrow, Bluewallet, Unstoppable, Green and many other wallets are bitcoin wallets.
I found out some weeks ago that bitget wallet is having lightning network. The wallet is noncustodial with very poor onchain fee estimation. I can not tell anyone to use the wallet because the fee is not customizable and the low fee estimation on the wallet is more than the highest fee displayed on mempool for fast confirmation. You know you need onchain fee to open and close a channel. But the main reason I will not be including the wallet on the list is because it is close source. If the wallet is open source, I would have included it when I saw it.

I know that Electrum and bluewallet has a desktop version. You can see the link to all the electrum versions in the first post.
If you want to use Bluewallet, you need to provide your node address. Bluewallet is not having Linux and Windows apps but it has macOS app.

Any desktop wallets?
Electrum is not newbie friendly for lightning network, but the developers are improving it in updates. It is a good wallet that you can go for.

I think I can get the images for this thread if you do not understand how to use lightning network on Ekectrum. It is a guide.

For Lightning funds, the wallet is custodial, isn't it? I created an invoice there, and now I see that it requests payment to an LNBits node. It's not me but Bitget who holds the funds which are received via such an invoice.

I downloaded the wallet again and I went through it. The lightning network is supporting not bitcoin but only SATS which is a BRC20 token. Second thing I do not like about this wallet is that it states that it will use ethereum private key for the backup. The third which is what you are also saying is that it does not require a fee to set it up (for opening a channel) which means it is custodial.

That is actually mental. So the Bitget wallet only supports a BRC-20 shitcoin? Who would want to use that? I wonder if Bitget is trying to fool people about this wallet like bitcoin.com used to do with Bitcoin Cash.

Second thing I do not like about this wallet is that it states that it will use ethereum private key for the backup.

This alone should disqualify it from being classified as a "Bitcoin wallet". This is not some wallet that supports many chains at once, so what is the justification for using Ethereum private keys (and addresses apparently) to send and receive a BRC-20 token.

Some people that do not know about this might be fooled. I clicked on lightning and brought this:

Although it has bitcoin as one of the mainnet if we are not talking about lightning network. It is even BIP39 seed phrase. Also that it has also mainnet like

But despite all these, it is not a bitcoin lightning wallet because it is not having bitcoin as its lightning network coin but having SATS instead using ethereum private key for its backup. It is even a close source wallet. I do not know why bitcoin is even at the lowest part among the mainnets.

Since I downloaded the wallet, I always notice something not good. The default listed coins which is the mainnet has bitcoin as the coin third to the last listed coins while BGB which I think is their coin, and ETH are the first 2 coins there.

That's as close to scamming as it gets. Can you add a Warning Against Wallets list in the OP, with the WalletName in Strikethrough?

No, they just use this ticker for satoshis (1/100,000,000th parts of BTC). I created an LN invoice for 1000 SATS in Bitget wallet, and, when I tried to pay it via usual lightning wallet, my wallet was going to send 1000 satoshis (0.00001 BTC), not 1000 BRC-20 tokens. The details of the invoice are here:

By the way, the wallet I used for payment is Valet, which is also an open-source Lightning wallet:

Oh! But Bitget is making it confusing. It also has SATS. While not present it in sat which is what that is correct. Did you know that Bitget is supporting ORDI, SATS, RATS DOTS etc if you click on bitcoin as the mainnet, you will see them. Why represent bitcoin lightning also as SATS when the wallet also has SATS which is a token and different from sat.

By the way, the wallet I used for payment is Valet, which is also an open-source Lightning wallet:
https://github.com/standardsats/valet/releases/tag/4.4.1
I will look into it

That's as close to scamming as it gets. Can you add a Warning Against Wallets list in the OP, with the WalletName in Strikethrough?
internetional proved it that it is still lightning network but using the SATS to represent sat.

Edit:

I did not list the wallet among the wallets in the OP because it is close source and also because it is custodial.

I've been using Electrum for lightning payments for a long time, but recently I have been experiencing a nasty bug which force-closes the channel and results in me losing lots of money

https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/9079

Is there any other open-source Electrum wallet available for Windows or Linux desktops?
From both the list here and in https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet?step=5&platform=windows&features=lightning the only existing wallet seems to be Electrum.

This is a peculiar case. If a channel close doesn't happen voluntarily then a force close can happen in the event when one of the channel peer is inactive and the other node acts to close the channel. If fees are high at the time, the fees paid will be high to resulting in a significant loss.
I'm not still fully certain this is a bug or the node force closing, but can't say why it's happened multiple times to you.

Is there any other open-source Electrum wallet available for Windows or Linux desktops?
Can't think of any. Any which fits the former part of your requirement will be limited to mobile.
