Maybe, but another reason is that we're not yet at the peak of this season. The bull run signs are there but we're not yet confirming if we're already there at the top of it.
Once the market goes to that peak, for sure a lot of scams and hacks are going to appear again here and there. And that is due to many people patronizing them.

People of back then did not know what or how to navigate the internet so people with more knowledge and advanced softwares easily had the capability to hack on different kinds of computers.
