Maybe a strange question... but can XBC help create a community takeover in DCM?

Maybe a strange question... but can XBC help create a community takeover in DCM?

I think that decision would be best decided by the DCM community Tongue

Firstly, it should be made sure that a community takeover is what the people want.

From Wallenstein's responses, the devs are still working on the project, but I'm not sure about the current situation.

Maybe a strange question... but can XBC help create a community takeover in DCM?

I think one issue there is that two of the XBC devs were sort of assistant devs on DCM, and I expect there are a lot of hard feelings still remaining. DCM people may not exactly welcome a takeover by XBC devs, seeing it'd not exactly be a takeover... just two previous DCM devs taking the place of the lead DCM dev.

I'm not even sure what exactly occurred, besides the forum lock/website vanishing. It'd almost be better if someone besides XBC took over the coin. Also not sure how the DCM community would decide anything with two locked threads.

I don't think most XBC people were overly thrilled with XBC devs splitting time on another coin anyway. Especially since the time they should be most active during MP voting is when they all seemingly decide to take a vacation.

Just checking on how MP voting was going... people may not be aware, but XBC just shot up to the #3 spot.

Appears like Aiden + Stability evidently were using bots (explains how they shot up so quickly)... so they got knocked down. It does pay to do things the right away.

Assuming rates of voting stay the same, that means XBC would get listed on MP in no more than 2.5 weeks. It could sneak past Zim with a bit of a push even and get there even faster. Not bad at all. So those out there voting, keep it up -- almost there.

And as I have stated already, devs need to start releasing whitepapers/new stuff soonish, as you need to add some value behind the coin to avoid dumping once listed.

Edit: And I see Hyper + BCTtalk coin got shot down in rank too, so even the coins sneaking up got pushed back a lot. Even better news.

Yep we might just have keep plodding a long like we are and we'll get there.

This is the second time XSI got sent down (the first time was apparently for multi-accounting)

As soon as I saw this I bought up more XBC !

Yeah, bought a little extra myself too. It's pretty cheap right now. Figured most hadn't seen the news yet.

Keep it clean and steady on the voting, we're #3 now and we don't want to get knocked down like the others. We'll be 1st in 2 weeks if we keep it up, the coins right below us aren't getting as many votes/hr as we are, so I don't see them sneaking up on us. I'm still voting 15-20 times/day, I hope everyone else keeps it up too.

Also, any news or progress on a mobile wallet?

Sort of interesting watching the price. I think this may be the only example of a coin shooting up in MP rank close to the top and then going down in price -- and before the typical MP price rise/pump even occurs based on rank. I fully understand when coins do the pump/sell off to a certain degree before hitting MP, but usually people don't sell off before the price rise.  I mean, if Aiden can go up 2.5x (based on fraudulent votes) and ITC like triple in price, and before hitting MP just based on rank, I'd think any coin could, so it doesn't make much sense to me.

Guessing it's due to devs being on vacation/somewhat absent, or just price manipulation? Honestly don't quite get it as it's the opposite of what logically occurs.

It's because the devs havent done much for XBC at all. This coin is dead.

It's because the devs havent done much for XBC at all. This coin is dead.

I understand that mindset. Although since they still have several devs, including the one who made their wallet, I wouldn't automatically say it's dead. So long as a coder is aboard, they can always add stuff.

Again,what I don't get is the timing.

Coin pumps due to approaching MP listing, people dump -- understandable.
Coin pumps after it gets on MP, people dump -- understandable and very common.
People sell before any pump/price rise at all due to impending MP listing -- is what I don't understand. It's basically the reverse of what typically occurs.

I think it's because we are three Mondays away from MP and that's a long time in cryptotime.

Let's see what happens after ZS and Jackpot have finished fighting this one out.

I don't think the connection with DCM is helping however since it's now almost worth nothing.

That could be it. I don't view 2 weeks as an especially long time, but others might, I guess. The DCM connection certainly doesn't help, but it's not like XBC was tied to it that strongly. We'll probably know more a week or so from now, after ZS/Jackpot get listed, as you say. And assuming the devs make an appearance and do some stuff.

I guess I just found it weird that the coin was holding its own while ranked #5, and on the verge of slipping  to #6 due to BCT sneaking up. And instead when it hit#3 the next day, the price went down. It looked like opposite world.

It's looks almost like the dev's made a deal thogether. Don't hear from nobady for day's, weeks, months. Why is the question? Do they want the price to be low?

Help we out with this wondering.

I think at least two of the devs went on vacation or something. One is in China up until the beginning of July.

As for why anyone would want the price low, the only reason is to buy in cheap to sell higher later. That said, I don't really think any devs want the price to be low. Someone is picking up cheap-ish XBC however in the mid 20s at a decent rate, I have noticed, with multi btc offers there now. So if playing the conspiracy game, someone dumps to themselves, price sinks, put in low buy orders, scoop up coins... coin hits MP (or pumps on hype pre-MP), price goes up, sell for profit.

Did DCM merge with XBC? What's the deal?

Anyone know where Kreative AKA Jeremy Williamson is?

What about Wallenstein..... Where is he at?
