Dear forum members,

I wish to share my personal experience with the gambling site Stake and the injustice I've faced at the hands of this platform. On March 17, 2023, I reached out to them, detailing my struggles with gambling addiction and the adverse effects it has caused me, leading to significant losses. Unfortunately, none of the site's team responded to my messages. Instead, they attempted to leverage my situation to extract more funds from me.

Previously, I made significant deposits into my Stake account without any verification of the source of funds, posing a real danger to society. Furthermore, they failed to intervene to prevent money laundering activities occurring on their platform, making them complicit in these illegal activities.

I merely sought the partial recovery of the losses I incurred, but my request went unanswered. Consequently, I have decided to pursue legal action with the assistance of a lawyer in Curaçao, and I will file an official complaint with Shalten Hato, the Minister of Justice in Curaçao.

I hope my experience serves as a warning to others about the dangers of unregulated gambling and the disregard of laws pertaining to money laundering by such platforms. Let's work together to curb these harmful activities and ensure the safety of our community.

Did you tell them you would like for them to self-exclude you or permanently ban your account? Did you state it explicitly?

How did they do this? Do you have receipts or a record of how they extracted funds from you?

I think this isn't correct. Here on their page they have AML and KYC policies explicitly stated on their website- https://stake.com/policies/anti-money-laundering . Are you sure your are using stake casino or some other casino?

Well good luck with that and keep us posted.
Lastly, you should move this topic to the gambling board.

Thank you for your response and concern. I want to clarify that I did reach out to Stake after suffering significant losses due to gambling addiction. Despite expressing the clear impact of gambling addiction in my message, they responded by offering me a mere $740 to continue gambling, which only led to further losses. In fact, I was forced to sell my car in an attempt to recover my losses, but unfortunately, I ended up losing everything.

Furthermore, I provided the platform with documentation of my car sale and other evidence illustrating my struggles with gambling addiction, yet received no response or resolution from them. They were supposed to close my account on March 17, 2023, but it seems their focus lies solely on profiting from customers while ignoring the laws and regulations designed to protect against addiction and safeguard players.

I swear to you, stake is the best in the world. But I lost more than 240,000 usdt in a roulette casino this week. I swear to you, I am in great shock. I don't eat anything. Please give me credit and compensate me for my losses. I will not forget this for you. I cry all day.

I feel compelled to bring to your attention the alarming disregard for international anti-money laundering laws by the Stake platform. Recent evidence from my account highlights significant deposits made without proper verification, a clear violation of global standards for combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

On March 12, 2023, within just four hours, I deposited approximately $180,000 in cryptocurrency to my account, despite my account status being unverified at Level 4. International laws mandate thorough verification of fund sources to ensure compliance with global regulations and Curaçao's regulatory laws. However, it seems that Stake is prioritizing member losses and profit generation over legal compliance.

This blatant disregard for legal obligations is deeply concerning and poses a threat to the integrity of online gambling platforms. I urge all forum members to be vigilant and cautious when engaging with Stake or similar platforms that exhibit such disregard for international laws.

It is imperative that we raise awareness about these violations and demand accountability from Stake and other platforms operating unlawfully .

This is interesting to hear but the truth of the matter is that stake as a company is profit oriented and anything that they will do to stop their profit from coming is what they will not do. So if you have addiction problem just look for a way and get a therapist to talk to you and give you tips on how you can get out of gambling with out control am not saying gambling is bad but when doing that you should do it responsibly and you must have a boundary or red line that you set for your self not to cross

What I understand about a whole lot of gamblers which I feel embarrassing about but don't tell them is that they fail to acknowledge a factual rule in gambling "that you're responsible to yourself" which is why it's clearly indicated 18+ as eligible age for gamble in almost all countries that permits gambling,  because it's believed that as an adult you should be able to make your choices and live with it, as no one is coming to save you if you don't first fight to save yourself. As you rightly say, Stake is like every other enterprise that is profit oriented, and profit oriented enterprises do all things possible not to lose out.

Wilben, the ideally I will advise you find ways to deal with your gambling addiction to eliminate it and get yourself back under selfcontrol against gambling, because if you don't work on that and you probably let say achieve your goal regarding your legal suit in pursuant of your claims (which am not condemning anyway), what makes you think you won't continue with another gambling platform and have same losses due to your gambling addiction still hovering with you. What am say is, attack the cause and not just the effect.

I look forward to expressing my opinions and sharing them with you with gratitude and respect. I would like to point out that I am receiving anti-addiction treatment at a center for treating addicts. I greatly value my commitment to personal growth and recovery.

Regarding the issue with the Stake platform, you raise legitimate concerns about non-compliance with international laws and regulations related to anti-money laundering and player protection. Indeed, it is puzzling how a platform can allow such large deposits without fully verifying their source, especially with the risks of transactions in cryptocurrencies, which amount to $180,000 in just four hours.

I do not use stake nor am I familiar with their services but as a gambling site what did you expect from them? They are not there to give free therapy sessions to their clients. They want the opposite actually. They need people to be so addicted in gambling so that they earn but you as a person is responsible for your own actions.

If they did coerce you to do anything out of your will then that could be subject for a lawsuit but otherwise I think what you need is someone or something to help you.

STAKE.COM is responsible for addiction prevention and laws enforce them to do so. International laws compel them to verify the sources of funds, especially if they are large sums. What do you think, sir, about depositing $180,000 in just 4 hours? Stake is only concerned with player wins and losses, and they disregard international laws. However, currently, I have consulted a lawyer in Curaçao, and he told me that once he finishes the case, I will file a lawsuit against them because they have destroyed my life."

This case has to be investigated and all gambling sites need to hold their regulations over all their clients no matter their situations or conditions are. I am sorry that you are suffering from a gambling addiction but that is totally unrelated to what you seem to be complaining about. In which case, stake.com does not hold any responsibility over your mental wellness especially in a case where they did not seem to have violated any human right.

On the other hand, your concern about your account and the money deposited is a different matter altogether and if you find grounds to sue then you should and I shall support you.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for engaging with me, and I would like to clarify some matters regarding the situation I encountered with a specific website. Unfortunately, their response to the issue of gambling addiction, or specifically the personal issues I mentioned, did not meet the expectations of mutual service.

I sent the website documents proving the sale of my personal car, and the account they closed on March 20, 2023, was merely due to a suicide threat, rather than addressing the personal situation and attempting to provide assistance. The website should have taken more responsible and caring actions, especially after I informed them on March 17, 2023.

As for your second question, sir, the laws are clear: it is not possible to deposit large sums of money without verifying their source, especially if you intend to withdraw. Gambling websites apply anti-money laundering policies and will request hundreds of documents to prevent withdrawals. However, if you engage in deception, they disregard laws. The important thing for them is that you lose. I told you that I claimed about $180,000 in just four hours. See evidence in the post.
