Yeah the team difference was only in paper as from what we saw on pitch as I saw the game completely and England was really lucky to get to the penalties as Switzerland had the biggest chances and even hit the post in the second half of extra time.England surely is playing a very ugly football and they only managed to hit the goal once but that single shot was goal,in fact they have shoot in totally 3 shots on goal in all their games and three shots were goals,this shows that despite not being able to show a great football they have done well to qualify so far and now they wait I think their opponent from Netherlands game if I am not mistaken,which should be another passable opponent in my opinion,at least I got a point from Kane not scoring in the pool.

They and France seem to have it in them to win matches without particularly playing well and have both made it to the semi finals, this increases the odds of either France or England winning (my pick in the pre-round tournament), I will much rather have France win it than England however.

I must say the margin for errors in penalty shootouts have been very low, everyone is scoring them, so if you miss one, be rest assured you will be going out.

Fell asleep for both games, too many expectations on paper and too little work on the field; it's becoming the norm for a team with so many talented players to underperform. We're dealing with a similar situation here: Nigerian players spread over Europe, yet when they play together for the national team, they play like shit.

I really can't pick which team is the most boring of all time, Chelsea under Mourinho, Man United under David Moyes or this English squad under Gareth Southgate.

There are 2 people with 0 points in the quarter finals round and one of them is me.    There are only 4 questions left and I'm getting more worried as time goes on. It was a fucking own goal which in reality was not but what do you expect from UEFA,bullshit after bullshit,they don't even watch doubtful events even when we are asking for penalties,these people do not care and it appear like is run by corrupted people.There were quite some chances on both teams that they need VAR at least and this referee Tuffin was his name on his shirt was so sure that they were nothing,he kept missing corners and goal kicks also a lot during this game but apparently UEFA does not give a shit about how well referees behave,as I have already said in many other threads it is these very same persons that ruin games,a game is decided by a referee and unless this changes football will not be the same again.

UEFA EURO 2024 website^[1] says it is an own-goal and that is what is used to determine cases like this, so I lose out on that question, and you lucky guys get some precious 2 points.

It was first given to Gakpo and then changed to own goal.  We will of course go with whatever is official on UEFA page. I will let cryptofrka check that one as usual.

Yep, UEFA rated it as an own goal from Muldur - which I feel was the right call.

Dittoup with a 3-point lead ahead of chi20 (monster round, 12 points) and we have 6 players that are 5 points behind. Still doable, 20 points in the last 2 rounds to play for and some points still left to award from the pre-tournament round.

When you have squad like England have, it's just crime to play such football. And after their game it was such pleasure and relief to watch Turkey - Netherlands game. Also, with last questions improved my situation a bit, but in general, my 6 points is very average result.
Spain - France and England - Netherlands in semifinals, that moment when we don't have underdogs going that far in tournament this time.

The round was literally the simplest round for everyone except Cls63, who ruined it for the most of us, and the double points were quite beneficial; I got 7 points and a total of 22 and still dropped in rank because everyone performed well. I'm not sure how CLS63 managed to score 0 points in what might have been a massacre. We just have too many heading into the semi-finals. I just need another monster round or else I'm finished
