These are the two exchanges that I saw most Nigerian bitcoins ads for naira P2P which I think will be mostly used if the federal government ban P2P transactions in Nigeria. I was not happy to see these exchanges shutting down on November 7th when I check it on Agoradesk and find it to be true. Trading will stop on May 14th which is just one week away.

The anti-privacy war has evolved into a shut it down or go to jail situation; if you want to build a decentralized exchange/project, you must also keep your private offline. If Satoshi had not given up his life to remain anonymous in order for Bitcoin to survive, the government would have arrested him and made Bitcoin disappear long ago just like digital cash and other Internet money before Bitcoin.

https://haveno.exchange/ is the only thing close to Localmomero now it also offer BTC <> XMR

But I make a mistake with this exchanges, they are centralized. It was just stated on their platform that they are decentralized but that is not true. But they are no-KYC exchanges.

I think only Bisq is truly decentralized among these exchanges.

"Decentralized " is being used in the wrong context on most of these crypto websites to drag traffic and end up getting busted over time.

Running a Non-KYC platform on a cleanet put you and your customers against the government cause it's illegal to for a financial institution hosted on a centralized server not to accept KYC. A Non-KYC financial platform is classified as a darknet and that's why most of them are already getting shutdown and owners facing jail time.

If you're decentralized there's no way the Govemment is shutting you down since you're in control of your own nodes and all that.

We don't accept the fact that exchange of bitcoin to other coins is not mixing and we now accept the fact that bitcoin being exchanged for bitcoin only for privacy sake is what should be termed as a deal which involves fraudulent or illicit activities, how much longer is this kind of attack on bitcoin network going to last, are we also going to support what is not giving us the utmost priority to why we soughted out for an alternative means of making payment in cryptocurrency with bitcoin when we all first go against centralized financial system of fiat, i think its high time we all rise and go for what we want, if they keep clamping down on exchanges, this shoes that its high time we use a decentralized one, but the actually attacks were meant on bitcoin network, which we all have to see and fight against.

Just because bitcoin is decentralized in nature and these people knows that it is because of the decentralized nature of bitcoin that makes people love using bitcoin for transactions, and that is why most of them come up with their own platforms claiming to be decentralized just to decieve people who love privacy, unknown to these users that they are not decentralized because they operate on a centralized server. They use the no KYC to deceive customers to make them believe they are centralized, while it is the opposite. I could remember even some centralized exchanges like Binance  will claim to be decentralized, and some people who don't know will fall for them. This is how we have fallen for most of them with no KYC.

I don't know any of the websites listed prior to them closing shop. LocalBitcoins used to be the #1 P2P site that I used in the early days and had a huge respect for so I understand how you feel about LocalMonero and Agoradesk because I was disappointed to see LocalBitcoins shutdown. I do think that most platforms will spawn out in the future and will mostly likely be decentralized as all P2P platforms will be edging to become decentralized especially new ones.

Guys, is Paxful still a thing? They used to be like top 3 p2p exchanges, I don't see it mentioned often anymore.

I won't advice anyone to use that platform right now, there's a lot of scammers on that fucking site right now. Paxful is never the same after Ray left as CEO and the transfer of the site to another management. There's a lot is scam reports and failed ID verification issues on their social media platforms and supports ain't attending to anyone. Paxful failed the day it stopped operation.

The former Paxful CEO platform Noones isn't that great either, too many scammers.

But if you know how to avoid scam on decentralized crypto P2P, or you learn and understand about it very well, you can not be scammed.

Nice, thanks for the heads up. I haven't used Paxful since the inception due to the fact that I was a LocalBitcoins loyalist. I was asking because its time to begin looking for alternative routes now that the government is almost done boycotting exchanges offering NGN P2P services.  Didn't Noones launch a new p2p platform right after Binance got banned and fined by the govt?  Noones app, I just checked on X but like Paxful, I haven't used it too.

Yeah, its the same with Bybit actually, binance too. Its safe to say that every platform had their fair share of scammers.

I could remember even some centralized exchanges like Binance  will claim to be decentralized, and some people who don't know will fall for them. This is how we have fallen for most of them with no KYC.
plenty exchanges platforms they notorious about this habit of deceiving their new intended users about their decentralized system but nah when you no run your research well you go fall in come later know say na lie them talk about their been decentralized. However, I never hear binance the claim say them dey decentralized ever since wey I dey use them , I never even hear person talk this tin sef shaa except say maybe na me no keep ear down well. You mind throw me detail info or link about that talk abeg.

I heard a lot of scam about Paxful in the past, but if you know how to avoid them, you will not be scammed. When I was a newbie, I used paxful but I later left, not because of scam but because of another reason.

Yeah, its the same with Bybit actually, binance too. Its safe to say that every platform had their fair share of scammers.
Well, I won't say that because of scammers I will be scared to use an exchange like Paxful or Noones because as rightly known, the government is trying as much as possible to shutdown P2p on any exchange by any means necessary and those of us who have investment in cryptocurrency and earn from there and have built some form on independence so far, should try to find alternatives so we don't become the ones who get to suffer from policies by the government that won't in any way benefit us yet.

Am sure localmonero and Agarodesk platforms will either be absorbed by another management or the idea of the business will be fine tuned to meet current web3 and Blockchain demands.

If you're not getting scammed at least you will be running into several vendors who clicks paid without sending payments, get you into an endless dispute trying to waste your time if they can't scam you. I've been stuck in there and the support are really poor.

They could be shutting down for their own safety

You can easily see ads creators positive and negative ratings which can be used to select the ad that you prefer. The reason I left Paxful was not because of anything related to scam.
